This high rise, loft style kitchen incorporates modern design elements using stylish materials and hidden appliances. The horizontal, lift up wall cabinets and floating shelves allows sufficient and functional storage in this minimalist design layout. The soft grey color palette in the cabinetry blends in with the industrial elements of the dwelling structure yet allows the purple accent wall and surrounding art to stand out as focal points in this kitchen. One of the most important requests this client had was that the kitchen needed to take advantage of the dramatic skyline views. The appliances needed to be hidden from view as best possible. A soft, neutral color palette so that she could incorporate her favorite colors, purple and black, in accessories and art. Everything needed a place to be stored so there would be no clutter on the countertops. Due to the structural requirements in the building, a large concrete support column was the biggest design challenge. The location of this column made it difficult to ensure that the client had adequate walkway clearance between the living area and kitchen without sacrificing storage. In the original layout, the shape and location of the island and its attachment to the concrete column blocked the fantastic view of the city skyline. In order to improve this walkway clearance, the island was pushed out further into the kitchen so that it became in-line with the column. A shallow depth, tall cabinet then replaced a standard 24” deep cabinet to widen the walk-space. In conjunction with moving the island, the shape of it was altered so that the cook-top could be relocated to allow the client to cook, congregate and take in the fabulous view of the city. Our latest kitchen project is located in the seaside town of Wemyss Bay. Our clients came to us wanting to update their kitchen and make it more modern while incorporating a dining area. We made sure to utilise every storage space available using Pronorm Y-line cabinetry in Gloss Cubanite. Its sleek handleless beige doors with a high-gloss finish create an elegant, modern look that is perfect for this kitchen. We complemented this with Nero Granite worktops made of speckled dark grey material. The black glass backsplash was the perfect finishing touch to add more contrast and drama. The appliances are from Siemens, including a black oven that perfectly matches the black glass backsplash.

Spacieuse, élégante et épurée, cette cuisine a de quoi vous faire rêver ! Nous avons tout refait du sol au plafond, en passant par l’électricité, la plomberie et même la peinture. En ce qui concerne l’éclairage, nous avons installé des spots dans les meubles haut ainsi qu’un luminaire au plafond dont l’intensité et la teinte sont réglables avec une télécommande. Mr & Mme B peuvent donc changer d’ambiance en fonction de leurs envies du moment. On retrouve, comme dans toutes mes créations, beaucoup de coulissants pour des cuisines toujours plus fonctionnelles. L’harmonie des couleurs est également au rendez-vous, avec une grande table en bois assortie au plan de travail et à la crédence. J’ai d’ailleurs encouragé mes clients à prendre des caissons gris assortis avec les tiroirs et le sol de la cuisine. Une couleur qui fait ressortir les façades blanches et donne cette touche design structurée. Et vous que pensez vous de cette association de couleurs ? Im zentralen Raum teilen sich Küche, Essplatz und Sofaecke die Fläche. Die Küche wurde auf Maß vom Schreiner gefertigt. In der Zeile an der Wand sind – neben viel Stauraum – auch Backofen, Dampfgarer, Kühlschrank und Spülmaschine untergebracht. Die Spüle aus Edelstahl ist unter der Arbeitsplatte aus Feinsteinzeug eingebaut, die Abtropffläche wurde leicht vertieft und mit Gefälle ausgeführt. Die Rückwand wurde mit einem mattierten, rückseitig weiß lackierten Floatglas verkleidet. Hinter den Klappen über der Arbeitsfläche ist das täglich benutzte Geschirr jederzeit griffbereit. Eine eingelassene LED-Leiste an der Unterseite des Schranks beleuchtet die Arbeitsfläche gleichmäßig, ohne zu blenden. Als einziges Element in der Zeile ist der Schrank in Eiche ausgeführt. Damit wird er zum Blickpunkt, die umgebenden weißen Fronten treten in den Hintergrund. Der große Küchenblock in Eiche ist der Mittelpunkt und zugleich die Abtrennung zum Essplatz. Hier kann problemlos auch mit mehreren Personen gleichzeitig gekocht werden. Das Kochfeld ist flächenbündig in die Platte eingebaut und hat einen integrierten Muldenlüfter. Seitlich steht die Arbeitsplatte über und bildet mit zwei Hockern einen kleinen Sitzplatz. Zur Küche hin bieten Schubladen viel Platz für Kochgeschirr und -besteck. In den Fächern in Richtung Essplatz sind Geschirr und Gläser untergebracht. Aus praktischen Erwägungen sind die Schränke der häufig genutzten Fächer in der Küche mit Griffen versehen. Grifflos sind nur die Schränke ganz oben und die Fächer im Küchenblock in Richtung Essplatz.

Design, plan, supply and install new kitchen. Works included taking the the room back to a complete shell condition. The original Edwardian structural timbers were treated for woodworm, acoustic insulation installed within the ceiling void, wall to the garden lined with thermal insulation. Radiator and position changed. The original internal hinged door was converted to a sliding pocket door to save space and improve access. All the original boiler pipework was exposed and interfered with the work surfaces, this has all been reconfigured and concealed to allow unhindered, clean lines around the work top area, The room is long and narrow and the new wood plank flooring has been laid diagonally to visually widen the room. Walls are painted in a two tone yellow which contrasts with the grey cabinetry, white worksurfaces and woodwork. The Strada handleless cabinets are finished in matte dust grey and finished with a white quartz work surface and upstand New celing, display and undercabinet and plinth lighting complete this bright, very functional and revived room.

This German Kitchen was installed in Surbiton KT6 by Kitchen Shoppe in 2019. The Kitchen manufacturer was Hacker Systermat.
