Зона столовой отделена от гостиной перегородкой из ржавых швеллеров, которая является опорой для брутального обеденного стола со столешницей из массива карагача с необработанными краями. Стулья вокруг стола относятся к эпохе европейского минимализма 70-х годов 20 века. Были перетянуты кожей коньячного цвета под стиль дивана изготовленного на заказ. Дровяной камин, обшитый керамогранитом с текстурой ржавого металла, примыкает к исторической белоснежной печи, обращенной в зону гостиной. Кухня зонирована от зоны столовой островом с барной столешницей. Подножье бара, сформировавшееся стихийно в результате неверно в полу выведенных водорозеток, было решено превратить в ступеньку, которая является излюбленным местом детей - на ней очень удобно сидеть в маленьком возрасте. Полы гостиной выложены из массива карагача тонированного в черный цвет. Фасады кухни выполнены в отделке микроцементом, который отлично сочетается по цветовой гамме отдельной ТВ-зоной на серой мраморной панели и другими монохромными элементами интерьера.

Eichler in Marinwood - In conjunction to the porous programmatic kitchen block as a connective element, the walls along the main corridor add to the sense of bringing outside in. The fin wall adjacent to the entry has been detailed to have the siding slip past the glass, while the living, kitchen and dining room are all connected by a walnut veneer feature wall running the length of the house. This Paradise Model ATU is extra tall and grand! As you would in you have a couch for lounging, a 6 drawer dresser for clothing, and a seating area and closet that mirrors the kitchen. Quartz countertops waterfall over the side of the cabinets encasing them in stone. The custom kitchen cabinetry is sealed in a clear coat keeping the wood tone light. Black hardware accents with contrast to the light wood. A main-floor bedroom- no crawling in and out of bed. The wallpaper was an owner request; what do you think of their choice? The bathroom has natural edge Hawaiian mango wood slabs spanning the length of the bump-out: the vanity countertop and the shelf beneath. The entire bump-out-side wall is tiled floor to ceiling with a diamond print pattern. The shower follows the high contrast trend with one white wall and one black wall in matching square pearl finish. The warmth of the terra cotta floor adds earthy warmth that gives life to the wood. 3 wall lights hang down illuminating the vanity, though durning the day, you likely wont need it with the natural light shining in from two perfect angled long windows. This Paradise model was way customized. The biggest alterations were to remove the loft altogether and have one consistent roofline throughout. We were able to make the kitchen windows a bit taller because there was no loft we had to stay below over the kitchen. This ATU was perfect for an extra tall person. After editing out a loft, we had these big interior walls to work with and although we always have the high-up octagon windows on the interior walls to keep thing light and the flow coming through, we took it a step (or should I say foot) further and made the french pocket doors extra tall. This also made the shower wall tile and shower head extra tall. We added another ceiling fan above the kitchen and when all of those awning windows are opened up, all the hot air goes right up and out.

An original Sandy Cohen design mid-century house in Laurelhurst neighborhood in Seattle. The house was originally built for illustrator Irwin Caplan, known for the "Famous Last Words" comic strip in the Saturday Evening Post. The residence was recently bought from Caplan’s estate by new owners, who found that it ultimately needed both cosmetic and functional upgrades. A renovation led by SHED lightly reorganized the interior so that the home’s midcentury character can shine. LEICHT Seattle cabinet in frosty white c-channel in alum color. Reubicamos la cocina en el espacio principal del piso, abriéndola a la zona de salón comedor. Aprovechamos su bonita altura para ganar mucho almacenaje superior y enmarcar el conjunto. La cocina es fabricada a KM0. Apostamos por un mostrador porcelánico compuesto de 50% del material reciclado y 100% reciclable al final de su uso. Libre de tóxicos y creado con el mínimo espesor para reducir el impacto material y económico. Los electrodomésticos son de máxima eficiencia energética y están integrados en el interior del mobiliario para minimizar el impacto visual en la sala.
