La rénovation de cet appartement familial était pleine de défis à relever ! Nous devions relier 2 appartements et nous retrouvions donc avec 2 cuisines et 2 salles de bain. Nous avons donc pu agrandir une cuisine et transformer l’autre en chambre parentale. L’esprit était de créer du rangement tout en gardant une entrée ouverte sur la grande pièce de vie. Un grand placard sur mesure prend donc place et s’associe avec un claustra en bois ouvrant sur la cuisine. Les tons clairs comme le blanc, le bois et le vert sauge de la cuisine permettent d’apporter de la lumière a cet appartement sur cour. On retrouve également cette palette de couleurs dans la salle de bain et la chambre d’enfant. Lors de la phase de démolition, nous nous sommes retrouvés avec beaucoup de tuyauterie et vannes apparentes au milieu des pièces. Il a fallu en prendre compte lors de la conception et trouver le moyen de les dissimuler au mieux. Nous avons donc créé un coffrage au-dessus du lit de la chambre parentale, ou encore un faux-plafond dans la cuisine pour tout cacher !

Modern and sleek, the kitchen is both functional and attractive. Flat panel cabinets, luxurious finishes and integrated high-end appliances provide the perfect space for both daily use and entertaining.

Blue is the go-to color this year and it is featured on the island. White raised panel cabinets with lighted upper glass doors. Major lighting changes include recessed can lighting and pendant lights over the island. Saddle bar stools. Island seats five. Calcutta Classique Quartz countertops are on the oversized island and surrounding cabinets. Induction cooktop, Convection, and Steam oven are some of the appliance package. Hickory plank hardwood provides a beautiful floor. Two large porcelain farmhouse sinks for two working prep stations.

Планировка выстроена таким образом, что в однокомнатной квартире уместились комфортная зона кухни, гостиная и спальня с гардеробом. Пространство квартиры сформировано 2-мя сопрягающимися через стекло кубами. В первом кубе размещена спальня и гардероб. Второй куб в шпоне американского ореха. Одна из его стен образует объем с кухонным оборудованием, другая, обращённая к дивану, служит экраном для телевизора. За стеклом, соединяющим эти кубы, располагается санузел, который инсолируется естественным светом. За счет опуска куба спальни, стеклянной перегородки санузла и атмосферного освещения удалось добиться эффекта единого «неба» над всей квартирой. Отделка пола керамогранитом под каррарский мрамор в холле перетекает в санузел, а затем на кухню. Эти решения создают целостный неделимый облик всех функциональных зон интерьера. Пространство несет в себе образ состояния уральской осенней природы. Скалы, осенний лес, стаи улетающих птиц. Все это запечатлено в деталях и отделочных материалах интерьера квартиры. Строительные работы заняли примерно полгода. Была произведена реконструкция квартиры с полной перепланировкой. Интерьер выдержан в авторской стилистике бюро Миллиметрика. Это отразилось на выборе материалов — все они подобраны в соответствии с образом решением. Сложные оттенки пожухшей листвы, припыленных скал, каррарский мрамор, древесина ореха. Птицы в полете, широко раскинувшие крылья над обеденной и тв зоной вот-вот улетят на юг, это серия светильников Night birds, "ночные птицы" дизайнера Бориса Климека. Композиция на стене напротив острова кухни из светящихся колец выполнена индивидуально по авторскому эскизу.

This sleek contemporary kitchen features white oak flat panel cabinets, a chef's gas cooktop, custom storage, undermount silgranite undermount sink, and expansive view out the picture window.

These great cooks needed a space that allowed for entertaining and multiple work zones. Storage was optimized and is efficient with pull-outs and dividers. The kitchen has almost doubled in size and now includes two dishwashers for easy clean up. Lighting was appointed with sparkling pendants, task lighting under cabinets and even the island has a soft glow. A happy space with room to work and entertain.   Download our free ebook, Creating the Ideal Kitchen. DOWNLOAD NOW   The homeowners came to us looking to update the kitchen in their historic 1897 home. The home had gone through an extensive renovation several years earlier that added a master bedroom suite and updates to the front façade. The kitchen however was not part of that update and a prior 1990’s update had left much to be desired. The client is an avid cook, and it was just not very functional for the family. The original kitchen was very choppy and included a large eat in area that took up more than its fair share of the space. On the wish list was a place where the family could comfortably congregate, that was easy and to cook in, that feels lived in and in check with the rest of the home’s décor. They also wanted a space that was not cluttered and dark – a happy, light and airy room. A small powder room off the space also needed some attention so we set out to include that in the remodel as well. See that arch in the neighboring dining room? The homeowner really wanted to make the opening to the dining room an arch to match, so we incorporated that into the design. Another unfortunate eyesore was the state of the ceiling and soffits. Turns out it was just a series of shortcuts from the prior renovation, and we were surprised and delighted that we were easily able to flatten out almost the entire ceiling with a couple of little reworks. Other changes we made were to add new windows that were appropriate to the new design, which included moving the sink window over slightly to give the work zone more breathing room. We also adjusted the height of the windows in what was previously the eat-in area that were too low for a countertop to work. We tried to keep an old island in the plan since it was a well-loved vintage find, but the tradeoff for the function of the new island was not worth it in the end. We hope the old found a new home, perhaps as a potting table. This beautiful century old home had an addition aded in the 80's that sorely needed updated. Working with the homeowner to make sure it functioned well for her, but also brought in some of the century old style was key to the design.
