Overview Slick, rear facing extension with internal space planning throughout the ground floor enhancing existing and creating new spaces The Brief Transform a mid-terrace Edwardian home into a light, inspiring and practical family space with neat lines and simple elevations to complement a family garden space. Using as much glass as possible to the rear and incorporating new contemporary kitchen and back of house spaces we transformed the house from a dark and celular series of spaces to a WOW factor, flexible home. Our Solution We started by removing the elements that didnt work for the family, taking out walls and the rear ground floor elevation. We then looked to support the walls above with a new steel superstructure keeping the new space open plan. We wanted the route from the entrance lobby, where friends and relatives congregate, to the rear family space to be open and light with an obvious route to the new space. The back of house space (utility, laundry and WC/storage) was positioned in the centre of the plan leaving us to develop an open plan space with light flooding in. We opted for a simple and crisp aesthetic with light colours and materials and excellent finishing by the build team. The client has furnished the space to a high standard giving this house a brilliant look and feel that has enhanced the value and created a flexible space the family can live in for years to come.

By removing the wall, that separated the kitchen from the family room, we added a peninsula, with overhang and additional storage cabinet, so the homeowner has additional seating space and prep area. The chrome drop pendant lights provide lighting and continue the modern theme. Gray, engineered quartz countertops make the glass and metal mosaic tile backsplash stand out. Sleek, white slab cabinet doors are crisp and easy to wipe clean. We added can lights to give ample light in the kitchen. Wood look, porcelain plank tiles, laid throughout the home, makes the home appear much larger.

When you fall in love with a property in a prime location in Singapore, sometimes you wish that it could have more space, too. This goes out especially to owners who love to host parties at home--surely, this lack of space may seem to be a downer. Well, nOtch made it a point to not let the owners’ big hearts down, and have their hospitability shine through their home by creating more usable space. Using the techniques of modern contemporary styling, we redirect the focus of visitors onto the surrounding walls, while keeping the furniture sleek and clean. The distinctive island is enhanced further by the 100mm thick raised breakfast bar Consul Panel in a contrasting metal art décor colour, making a bold statement within the large feature island that dominates the space.

Modern Home Interiors and Exteriors, featuring clean lines, textures, colors and simple design with floor to ceiling windows. Hardwood, slate, and porcelain floors, all natural materials that give a sense of warmth throughout the spaces. Some homes have steel exposed beams and monolith concrete and galvanized steel walls to give a sense of weight and coolness in these very hot, sunny Southern California locations. Kitchens feature built in appliances, and glass backsplashes. Living rooms have contemporary style fireplaces and custom upholstery for the most comfort. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space is kept light and airy thanks to an impressive opening looking into an internal atrium. The soft grey kitchen is highlighted with the stunnibg grey stone, and given a luxury feel with the use of a smoked glass splashback. This open plan kitchen is a mix of Anthracite Grey & Platinum Light Grey in a matt finish. This handle-less kitchen is a very contemporary design. The Ovens are Siemens StudioLine Black steel, the hob is a 2in1 Miele downdraft extractor which works well on the island.

Tucson, AZ project was a condo conversion. Function and organization were key factors in making this former apartment feel bigger. Glass cabinets, satin etched at the pass through to allow an open the kitchen feel. Puck lights for under cabinet lighting. Modern backslash tile, Sub Zero refrigerator with appliance panels, modern flat-panel cabinets, black slate counter tops, and bold paint colors make this condo a home.
