Carter Fox Renovations did a complete remodel of this Leslieville home. Our experience in renovating older Toronto semis paid off in this house where we were required to renovate every aspect from re-engineering crooked floors to taming an underground stream below the basement. The main floor was reconfigured to make the kitchen its centrepiece, featuring a gorgeous blue island with maximized capacity - sink, dishwasher, microwave, recycling and ample storage all contained in a modest footprint. Upstairs we remodeled a beautiful, roomy master bath, added a vaulted ceiling to the master bedroom, installed custom millwork in the closet and hallway, repaired walls and ceilings, laid new flooring and baseboards and painted the entire house. In the previously unfinished basement we added a second bathroom, built an enclosed pantry/wine cellar and created a home office with lots of storage. At Carter Fox we love a challenge - the clients gave us a budget and we figured out how to achieve their goals on time and on budget. Complete ADU Build; Framing, drywall, insulation, carpentry and all required electrical and plumbing needs per the ADU build. Installation of all tile; Kitchen flooring and backsplash. Installation of hardwood flooring and base molding. Installation of all Kitchen cabinets as well as a fresh paint to finish.

A kitchen that was previously boxed in by bulkheads and a peninsula felt even smaller with stained oak cabinets and poor lighting. Light cabinets now fill the available wall space. Not only is there considerably more storage, but the kitchen looks far more open than before. Can lighting and under cabinet lighting provide plenty of general and task lighting.

The Kensington blue kitchen was individually designed and hand made by Tim Wood Ltd. This light and airy contemporary kitchen features Carrara marble worktops and a large central island with a large double French farmhouse sink. One side of the island features a bar area for high stools. The kitchen and its design flow through to the utility room which also has a high microwave oven. This room can be shut off by means of a hidden recessed sliding door.

With the rear wall of the kitchen facing the dining and living room, the orientation provided the client and designer the great opportunity to display some of their finest china and other dishware. By replacing the recessed panel with glass, not only does it provide for display of the dishware inside, but adds a greater depth within the space.
