The previous kitchen was the result of an 80's remodel, complete with dropped ceiling. We opened up the space and re-configured the entire kitchen to include a large island. The cabinetry is all custom. Double oven and range from Miele. SubZero fridge. The backsplash tile is from Heath Ceramics in LA. The Velux skylights are operable and have solar-powered shades.

This whole house remodel integrated the kitchen with the dining room, entertainment center, living room and a walk in pantry. We remodeled a guest bathroom, and added a drop zone in the front hallway dining.

Mid-century modern kitchen in Medford, MA, with cherry cabinetry, a small workstation island, quartz countertops, and a custom tile backsplash in shades of blue. We reused the client's vintage blue glass light fixture. Project also includes a mudroom and powder room.

The original outer wall of the kitchen was pushed back to create a connecting hallway between rooms, and to add a full wall of sliding doors to the back yard. Skylights were also added to the newly vaulted ceiling, flooding the open space with natural light. Built-in cabinets were used to create separate pantry, desk area, and coffee bar. I have been working as a kitchen and bath designer in the Pacific Northwest for 13 years. I love engaging with new clients, ascertaining their needs through various interviews and meetings and then collaborating as we build their finished concept together. The variety of design styles, room layouts and function changes so much between one person and the next that no two finished products are remotely the same. This fluidity allows for endless possibilities for exploration in my field. It keeps the job interesting and has always given me a particular sense of reward and accomplishment as we near completion. The greatest personal recompense in this chosen profession is being able to walk with a client through this process and come out the other side with that client feeling elated with the end result.

1950's rambler house receives a remodel that fits the original architecture of the home. Midcentury modern kitchen styled in original mid century kitchenware and accessories. This kitchen features a built-in kegerator and a Fireclay tile backsplash. Natural red oak flooring and natural cherry cabinetry create a warm and welcoming environment for a family of four.

This loft was in need of a mid century modern face lift. In such an open living floor plan on multiple levels, storage was something that was lacking in the kitchen and the bathrooms. We expanded the kitchen in include a large center island with trash can/recycles drawers and a hidden microwave shelf. The previous pantry was a just a closet with some shelves that were clearly not being utilized. So bye bye to the closet with cramped corners and we welcomed a proper designed pantry cabinet. Featuring pull out drawers, shelves and tall space for brooms so the living level had these items available where my client's needed them the most. A custom blue wave paint job was existing and we wanted to coordinate with that in the new, double sized kitchen. Custom designed walnut cabinets were a big feature to this mid century modern design. We used brass handles in a hex shape for added mid century feeling without being too over the top. A blue long hex backsplash tile finished off the mid century feel and added a little color between the white quartz counters and walnut cabinets. The two bathrooms we wanted to keep in the same style so we went with walnut cabinets in there and used the same countertops as the kitchen. The shower tiles we wanted a little texture. Accent tiles in the niches and soft lighting with a touch of brass. This was all a huge improvement to the previous tiles that were hanging on for dear life in the master bath! These were some of my favorite clients to work with and I know they are already enjoying these new home!
