his was a very interesting kitchen project. Elke has a very eclectic taste and together we designed this warm & beautiful kitchen entirely build from pieces of furniture. The cabinets on either side of the stove were originally bed side tables/cabinets made from reclaimed wood and salvaged hand carved doors. The cabinets were opened from the back and the wood from the back was used extended them to counter depth (24"). We used vintage shallow and narrow medicine cabinets on either side of the hood. Three floor reclaimed teak cabinets were joined together to make a stunning wall unit for the other wall. The cabinet's old patina and wood grains combined with modern stainless steel appliances brings warmth, elegance and beautiful ambiance to the kitchen. This is a perfect example of a super warm, cozy and charming Inde-Art kitchen.

Ulrich Designer: Aparna Vijayan Photography by Peter Rymwid This kitchen, created for an Englewood family's newly constructed tudor style home, was inspired by the homeowners' numerous family vacations to the Colorado Rockies. They wanted their very own "Rockies style chalet". Designer Aparna Vijayan describes it as "rustic-formal". There are innumerable design features: custom color cabinets, a custom antique copper and bronze hood, slate countertops in the perimeter and island, a peruvian walnut wood countertop in the eating area of the island, exposed beams in the high ceiling, brick work in ceiling, and the reclaimed wood flooring, to name some of them. The homeowners also wanted to have, and Aparna delivered, tons of state of the art appliances and large areas for gathering and entertaining. ...Wonder if there are skis behind the door of that armoire - oh, just the fridge and freezer! Still a chance for snow!

The contemporary styled Ebner residence sits perched atop a hill in West Atascadero with sprawling 360 degree views. The 3-winged floor plan was designed to maximize these views and create a comfortable retreat for the Ebners and visiting guests. Upon arriving at the home, you are greeted by a stone spine wall and 17’ mitered window that focuses on a majestic oak tree, with the valley beyond. The great room is an iconic part of the design, covered by an arch formed roof with exposed custom made glulam beams. The exterior of the house exemplifies contemporary design by incorporating corten cladding, standing seam metal roofing, smooth finish stucco and large expanses of glass. Amenities of the house include a wine cellar, drive through garage, private office and 2 guest suites.
