Notre projet Jaurès est incarne l’exemple du cocon parfait pour une petite famille. Une pièce de vie totalement ouverte mais avec des espaces bien séparés. On retrouve le blanc et le bois en fil conducteur. Le bois, aux sous-tons chauds, se retrouve dans le parquet, la table à manger, les placards de cuisine ou les objets de déco. Le tout est fonctionnel et bien pensé. Dans tout l’appartement, on retrouve des couleurs douces comme le vert sauge ou un bleu pâle, qui nous emportent dans une ambiance naturelle et apaisante. Un nouvel intérieur parfait pour cette famille qui s’agrandit.

This beautiful estate is positioned with beautiful views and mountain sides around which is why the client loves it so much and never wants to leave. She has lots of pretty decor and treasures she had collected over the years of travelling and wanted to give the home a facelift and better display those items, including a Murano glass chandelier from Italy. The kitchen had a strange peninsula and dining nook that we removed and replaced with a kitchen continent (larger than an island) and built in around the patio door that hide outlets and controls and other supplies. We changed all the flooring, stairway and railing including the gallery area, fireplaces, entryway and many other touches, completely updating the downstairs. Upstairs we remodeled the master bathroom, walk-in closet and after everything was done, she loved it so much that she had us come back a few years later to add another patio door with built in downstairs and an elevator from the master suite to the great room and also opened to a spa outside. Nestled into the quiet middle of a block in the historic center of the beautiful colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, this 4,500 square foot courtyard home is accessed through lush gardens with trickling fountains and a luminous lap-pool. The living, dining, kitchen, library and master suite on the ground floor open onto a series of plant filled patios that flood each space with light that changes throughout the day. Elliptical domes and hewn wooden beams sculpt the ceilings, reflecting soft colors onto curving walls. A long, narrow stairway wrapped with windows and skylights is a serene connection to the second floor ''Moroccan' inspired suite with domed fireplace and hand-sculpted tub, and "French Country" inspired suite with a sunny balcony and oval shower. A curving bridge flies through the high living room with sparkling glass railings and overlooks onto sensuously shaped built in sofas. At the third floor windows wrap every space with balconies, light and views, linking indoors to the distant mountains, the morning sun and the bubbling jacuzzi. At the rooftop terrace domes and chimneys join the cozy seating for intimate gatherings.

The kitchen sits on the side of the main room and is in plain view. It is treated as a sculptural object; an ode to cooking rather than just a functional space. The joy that comes from preparing meals together and eating them is celebrated with a warm and joyful colour. The gloss finish adds the reflection of the space around it and extends it.

Raised panel, stained wood cabinets with a contrasting painted cream island set the Traditional tone for this expansive kitchen project. The counter tops are a combination of polished earth tone granite in the kitchen and prep island, and matte finished quartzite for the serving island. The floors are engineered wood that transitions into travertine. And we also used a combination of travertine and a custom tile pattern for the backsplash and trim around the hood. Enjoy!
