In this beautifully crafted home, the living spaces blend contemporary aesthetics with comfort, creating an environment of relaxed luxury. After the unforgettable 2020 shut down we were finally able to get some great pictures of a home we rebuilt after a destructive fire that had burned over 60% of their home. 2020 has been an interesting year for the construction business but thankful we've been able to stay busy & you can look forward to many more project photos to come.

Beyond the beautiful exterior, there is so much well-thought-out storage and function behind each and every cabinet door. The two beautiful blue countertop towers that frame the modern wood hood and cooktop are two intricately designed larder cabinets built to meet the homeowner’s exact needs. The larder cabinet on the left is designed as a beverage center with apothecary drawers designed for housing beverage stir sticks, sugar packets, creamers, and other misc. coffee and home bar supplies. A wine glass rack and shelves provides optimal storage for a full collection of glassware while a power supply in the back helps power coffee & espresso (machines, blenders, grinders and other small appliances that could be used for daily beverage creations. The roll-out shelf makes it easier to fill clean and operate each appliance while also making it easy to put away. Pocket doors tuck out of the way and into the cabinet so you can easily leave open for your household or guests to access, but easily shut the cabinet doors and conceal when you’re ready to tidy up. Beneath the beverage center larder is a drawer designed with 2 layers of multi-tasking storage for utensils and additional beverage supplies storage with space for tea packets, and a full drawer of K-Cup storage. The cabinet below uses powered roll-out shelves to create the perfect breakfast center with power for a toaster and divided storage to organize all the daily fixings and pantry items the household needs for their morning routine. What struck us strange about this property was that it was a beautiful period piece but with the darkest and smallest kitchen considering it's size and potential. We had a quite a few constrictions on the extension but in the end we managed to provide a large bright kitchen/dinning area with direct access to a beautiful garden and keeping the 'new ' in harmony with the existing building. Project SilverOaks' earthy kitchen brings colour into the kitchen to break up the space with its navy-blue panelled island. What could have been standard kitchen island corners was taken to the next level by bringing in curves and open shelving! The rounded kitchen island corners and countertop brings softness to the kitchen space and maximizes functionality. The kitchen island’s ‘corner’ open shelving allows for a personal touch by being able to display décor, cookbooks, or even a family picture!

We used low-profile chairs in the dining room and open kitchen shelving to create the feeling of spaciousness. To keep it from being visually overwhelming, the color palette was kept simple. Gray, white, black, and a warm tone that came from wood, leather, and carefully selected ceramics. The retro fridge, funky light fixture, and whimsical artwork give an offbeat, slightly masculine feel.

A city condo needed an uplift, all finishes started to feel outdated, the kitchen's layout did not work for a dynamic couple who love to entertain and play Bridge with their friends on the regular basis. We developed a plan how to provide a luxurious experience and necessary changes in the limited space. The condo has some physical limitations as well, such as the load bearing walls could not be changed, the duct work had to stay in place, and the floor finishes had to satisfy strict sound restrictions.
