This kitchen is hot! The fire engine red KitchenAid range makes a big statement in this row house kitchen renovation for two hard working first responders. Sherwin Williams Pure White #7005 on the back cabinets and Farrow & Ball's Down Pipe #26 on the island provide a clean and soothing backdrop.

The main kitchen is a combination of real oak veneer and matte laminate cabinets. A textured wood ceiling delineates the kitchen area from the main living and dining areas. The raised area of the island is an oak cantilevered section that provides seating on each side.

The prior owner of this farm was an antiques dealer, and the barns held many treasures suited for this family's traditional kitchen freshen up. Look at that hutch!

This was a fun re-model with a fun-loving homeowner. Know locally as 'the 50's guy' the homeowner wanted his kitchen to reflect his passion for that decade. Using Northstar appliances from Elmira Stove Works was just the beginning. We complemented the bright red of the appliances with white cabinets and black counters. Winner of "HOME OF THE YEAR 2016" San Diego Home and Garden Lifestyles Magazine featuring this great contemporary kitchen remodel in An Irving Gill renovation near Balboa Park stays true to its historic essence. More about the project. This young couple has a creative back ground, one being an actor and the other being a teacher who inspires others. They now enjoy a new historical home with amazing touches of modern styling and comforts. The home was designed by renowned architect Irving Gill in 1905 and is on the historical register but it only applies to the exterior of the home. The brick pillar is an original feature from the home's turn-of-the-century stove. The window casings were built to replicate the original Douglas Fir windows as seen on Gill's original plans, and all the molding was redone in his signature flush style as well. The central feature in this kitchen is the Yellow Italian Bertazzoni Range with a single herringbone tiled back splash. The cabinetry is a light gray paired perfectly with a dark "graphite" gray island, and industrial vents at the toe kick enhance the overall look. This MCM kitchen replaced a dated 1980's version. Navy base cabinets w/dark stained uppers, brass hardware, blue & gold veined quartz tops & dimensional tile really set this kitchen apart. Extra touches of a navy sink, angled wine rack and asymmetrical floating shelves give it the piece de resistance!
