This project features a stunning Pentland Homes property in the Lydden Hills. The client wanted an industrial style design which was cosy and homely. It was a pleasure to work with Art Republic on this project who tailored a bespoke collection of contemporary artwork for my client. These pieces have provided a fantastic focal point for each room and combined with Farrow and Ball paint work and carefully selected decor throughout, this design really hits the brief.

My husband and I cook a lot, and because of that I wanted to have our everyday dishes easily accessible, so I have them stored on floating shelves next to the cook top. I selected stainless steel shelves to compliment the stainless steel hood and back splash. It was imperative to have the stainless steel back splash making it easy to clean up, instead of grease build up on the brick. The wall cabinets have lift up hinges, because it clears the floating shelf...if I had used standard swing hinge...I would have had to reduce the width of the wall cabinets.

This beautiful black and white kitchen has great walnut and bronze touches that make the space feel warm and inviting. The black base cabinets ground the space while the white wall cabinets and herringbone subway tile keep the space light and bright.

Reforma integral de una cocina con 3 zonas bien diferenciadas: zona cocinado, zona lavandería y zona comedor. El objetivo de este proyecto fue mantener las 3 zonas diferenciadas pero mejorando su equipamiento y funcionalidad. Los clientes deseaban darle un aspecto más industrial y moderno a la cocina sin perder la practicidad de los elementos característicos de la misma. Por lo tanto se optó por aglutinar todo el almacenaje de despensa y frigorífico en la zona de columnas, hacer más funcional y práctico el almacenaje en la zona de cocinado ubicando cajoneras y carros extraíbles en lugar de puertas, y hacer una zona de lavandería con suficiente superficie de trabajo y almacenaje para una gran familia. Respecto a los materiales y acabados, para dar mayor luminosidad al espacio, que aunque cuenta con 2 ventanas no tiene una gran luz natural, se ha optado por aportar luz al ambiente con un porcelánico DEKTON modelo Kairos que cubre tanto encimeras como frontales de pared. Para el mobiliario de cocina se ha escogido un acabado de puerta en color cemento que combinado con zócalo y tirador uñero en titanio negro aportan un aire industrial. La pared de la zona comedor en papel pintado de la marca GLAMORA con aspecto de hormigón completan el ambiente industrial y austero de la cocina.

For the kitchen, we decided to go with a double-tier upper cabinet to utilize the height of the loft with its very high ceiling. We also decided to go with the Bottle Green cabinet color by Ultracraft that gives an eclectic feel tying in well with the exposed brick and natural wood features. We paired the green with the Rag Bone cabinet color that balanced it out and blended in with the rest of the space, allowing the green and brass hardware to pop. We also extended the lower cabinets and added a wine fridge to better serve the bar area, perfect for entertaining. Finally, the Ventao Gold Quartz countertop with warm veining tied in perfectly with the brass hardware and Black and Brass faucet.

Build Team have added almost 20SQM of space to create a large 50SQM extension with an exposed brick wall. The space created is a large open-plan kitchen, dining and seating area with large Velux windows and a set of full width sliding doors that open onto a patio area covered by a glass canopy which gives protection from the elements.

Кухня наших клиентов Бруно + Фаворит. Горизонтальную систему хранения,заменили вертикальной. В результате часть боковой стены, практически до двери, заняли высокие шкафы в корпусах из ЛДСП цвета «венге». За фактурными фасадами из экомассива с красивым глубоким рельефом расположены антресольные шкафчики и выдвижные ящики. Кроме того, в «мертвых углах» установлены выкатные сетки LeMans, а рядом с духовым шкафом расположена диспенса – цельная выкатная сетка. Здесь же и встраиваемая техника: поднятая на комфортную высоту духовка и вместительный холодильник. Вдоль стены с окном разместилась рабочая зона. Ее длина 3,5 метра. В отличие от шкафа-колонны, в основной рабочей зоне гладкие фасады из МДФ с интегрированными ручками. Пространство за ними тоже не пустует: здесь и выдвижные ящики, и отделение для двойного мусорного ведра с сеткой для хранения чистящих средств, и глубокие полки для кухонной утвари. Выдвижные ящики – с удобными лотками для хранения столовых приборов и необходимых хозяйственных мелочей. Выдвигаются и задвигаются ящики мягко и плавно благодаря доводчикам.Столешница с интегрированной мойкой сделаны из акрилового камня. Чтобы подчеркнуть единство образа, стену за рабочей зоной и окно оформили тонкими плитами из того же материала.

photos by Pedro Marti This large light-filled open loft in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City was purchased by a growing family to make into their family home. The loft, previously a lighting showroom, had been converted for residential use with the standard amenities but was entirely open and therefore needed to be reconfigured. One of the best attributes of this particular loft is its extremely large windows situated on all four sides due to the locations of neighboring buildings. This unusual condition allowed much of the rear of the space to be divided into 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms, all of which had ample windows. The kitchen and the utilities were moved to the center of the space as they did not require as much natural lighting, leaving the entire front of the loft as an open dining/living area. The overall space was given a more modern feel while emphasizing it’s industrial character. The original tin ceiling was preserved throughout the loft with all new lighting run in orderly conduit beneath it, much of which is exposed light bulbs. In a play on the ceiling material the main wall opposite the kitchen was clad in unfinished, distressed tin panels creating a focal point in the home. Traditional baseboards and door casings were thrown out in lieu of blackened steel angle throughout the loft. Blackened steel was also used in combination with glass panels to create an enclosure for the office at the end of the main corridor; this allowed the light from the large window in the office to pass though while creating a private yet open space to work. The master suite features a large open bath with a sculptural freestanding tub all clad in a serene beige tile that has the feel of concrete. The kids bath is a fun play of large cobalt blue hexagon tile on the floor and rear wall of the tub juxtaposed with a bright white subway tile on the remaining walls. The kitchen features a long wall of floor to ceiling white and navy cabinetry with an adjacent 15 foot island of which half is a table for casual dining. Other interesting features of the loft are the industrial ladder up to the small elevated play area in the living room, the navy cabinetry and antique mirror clad dining niche, and the wallpapered powder room with antique mirror and blackened steel accessories.
