Kimberly Peck was an outstanding architect to work with and my wife and I couldn’t recommend her more. She’s so talented and so calm and relaxed in her approach. A very welcoming energy when you’re about to embark on a chaotic experience of tearing your home apart. We couldn’t be happier with the final outcome of our space. Anyone who has gone through the process of renovating knows that it’s a very challenging experience. There is so much detail that you hope you don’t miss so it requires a great deal of hand holding for inexperienced folks like us who would naturally miss so much of what is essential in creating a structurally sound, up to code and aesthetically appealing environment that one could eventually call home. And boy did Kim stick with us the whole way through. Now, that might sound surprising but believe it or not after the design and planning aspect and after the GC gets involved, an Architect usually moves on to other projects and may only come by once in a while to make sure design elements are being properly implemented. But given some unforeseen circumstances Kim went above and beyond how involved she was with our project. It’s fair to say that there was a chunk of time where she was there almost every single day. That is incredibly rare. Kim and Frank, her GC, worked their hearts out and were so committed in making sure that we were not only satisfied with the results but if there was anything that didn’t turn out the way we had pictured they would make concentrated effort to make it look better than what we imagined. It's now been 4 months since our project has finished and she’ll still answer questions and stay engaged with us if we need her. The same with GC Frank. But wow, she truly nailed our home. There hasn’t been one person who has walked in here and wasn’t taken back by how beautiful this space has become. The ideas she presented not only maximized our space but created such a beautiful flow and function through the layout. She transformed this home to the sanctuary that my wife and I had envisioned. Also, Kim is very transparent and honest and does her due diligence the entire way through. She was not only clear on what was or was not possible but she always looked for a better solution. We have nothing but great things to say about her but to finish I will say, she is very reasonably priced. We interviewed a dozen architects and the majority of them throughout numbers we just could not justify. After speaking with Kim we realized why those numbers didn’t feel right. Its an absolute no brainer. Would work with her again. Trust us. Hire her. You will not be disappointed.

In hindsight, choosing to work with Kim was the most important decision we made during our home renovation in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Our decision to work with an architect, like Kim, gave us the advantage of having a professional who knew the implications of design choices when it came to structure, plumbing, and most importantly the city codes. Kim always acted in our best interest as her client. She alerted us to major red flags with contractors who bid for our work, and helped us navigate smart tradeoffs in materials that helped us save money. From our first call with Kim we knew that her extensive architectural experience, unwavering professionalism and impeccable attention to detail would ensure that we could achieve the end results we desired from our renovation. At the start of our project we thought we knew what was possible with our space, but Kim brought out-of-the box suggestions for layouts, recommendations for suppliers and materials and other smart construction choices that helped us achieve a result far beyond what we could have ever imagined! I've been tremendously lucky to work with Kimberly Peck: I can't recommend her highly enough--and I do so to absolutely everyone I know who's looking for an architect. Kim and I worked together on the gut renovation of an 1880 brownstone in Brooklyn. The house was in terrible shape when Kim arrived on the project, and we encountered unwelcome surprises at every turn. However, Kim turned this dilapidated structure into an entirely new house within the envelope of the original edifice--and one that is energy-efficient, to boot. Having worked closely with her throughout this effort, I can safely say her responsiveness and professionalism are beyond reproach: I don't think I ever waited more than a business day for a detailed, thoughtful response. Kim is also unbelievably knowledgeable: she guided my decisions big and small, ensuring I had the right information to optimize for budget, practicality, and aesthetics. Finally, it is a pleasure to work with Kim. The process of renovating a property can be filled with anxiety, and Kim's demeanor inspired calm, confidence, and trust at every step. My family feels very blessed to have found an architect of Kim's caliber to work on our humble house in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. We saw photos of Kim's previous projects and kind of just pointed to them and said we want that, clean, modern, timeless .. but within our budget. Kim was very methodical in putting together our dream home, she drew floorplans for the house showing where walls were to be knocked down / rebuilt, provided exact dimensions / locations for every fixture in the house (toilets, bathtubs, closets, ceiling lights, outlets, light switches), and indicated everything that needed to be updated to bring the house up to the latest city codes. After agreeing on the floorplans then came the details. We took Kim's drawings to the kitchen cabinetry and appliance shop to create our kitchen, we visited showrooms to get inspiration for bathroom vanities, sinks, and mirrors, we looked through tons of samples for tiles and flooring; Kim was with us every step of the way. Kim deeply understood the aesthetic we were looking for and was up to date on modern trends, her suggestions were always on point. Then came the bidding for contractors, approval of the plans with the DOB, check ins on the contractors work, and finally sign off with the DOB. We could not have accomplished all of this without Kim.

I worked with Kim on my home renovation Nov 2021 - April 2022 and I could not recommend her enough! She was extremely knowledgable and professional in every way. She worked directly with my contractor to make sure everything was up to code, and made sure to always keep me in the loop. What an awesome experience and I cannot wait to work with her on my next project!

After successfully completing a full gut renovation, I could not be happier with Kim, she did a great job. Well, I just can't say enough good things... Kim is an incredible architect and was an amazing creative collaborator during my first foray into homebuilding in the Hudson Valley. She was very upfront with her fees, helped move the project along early on with my engineer, and was responsive through every step of the process. My contractors (and me) found her exacting detail work to be endlessly helpful, and the concept I had was only improved by her suggestions for the flow of the house. I could not have asked for a better partner on this project, and I could not recommend Kim enough to anyone doing a ground up project or renovation. You won't regret it!

I worked with Kim on a full gut renovation of an apartment. From the first time we spoke when I was starting to look for an architect to the completion of the project, Kim was a dream to work with. She worked incredibly well with me to realize my often not very well articulated vision. She had great ideas for the layout and was very accommodating when I wanted to make changes. When the pandemic shut down our project for months she did a great job keeping in touch and making sure that we were ready to go as soon as possible. I highly recommend her.

Kim was a fantastic partner in my project combining 2 apartments in a NYC Coop building. I combined 2 CoOps in an old 1960s building that proved to be much more cumbersome than I originally thought. I had to fire 2 architects before finding Kim via a recommendation. She was able to figure it out and get everything approved quickly, and also connected me with a wonderful contractor.

With a gut renovation there are endless decisions to make; you really want someone who you can trust and who you can communicate well with. Hiring Kim was the absolute best decision I made; and it made what could be a very stressful process into an enjoyable one. She guided me through every step, from the design process, to hiring a contractor, completing the DOB paperwork, etc.. She is extremely efficient, responsive, and works well with everyone. We updated our NYC apartment in 2018 - gut renovation of two bathrooms, kitchen, and floor sanding and painting. Our contractors recommended Kimberly Peck as they had worked well together on previous projects. Kimberly drew up the plans, executed all the paperwork required by the city and our co-op board, and advised us on materials, placement of fixtures and overall color scheme. She was very responsive to our initial ideas and worked within our budget. We worked with Kim on a complete ‘gut’ renovation project of our 2,800sf TriBeCa loft. We found Kim through Houzz and decided to meet with her based on the photos of her projects and, even more importantly, unanimously positive reviews of her clients. From the very first meeting with Kim we had a good feeling about her and decided to work with her to redesign the raw space we purchased to meet the needs of our family of five. And she did not disappoint! Throughout the entire process of putting together a proposal, creating architectural design concepts, finalizing plans, obtaining approvals from various city agencies, selecting materials and finishes, bidding the project out to contractors, and overseeing the construction, Kim was efficient, responsive, creative, and endlessly positive! There were a few occasions when I sent Kim panicked emails about things that seem trivial now (but did not seem so at the time) and, every time, Kim patiently responded, explained, offered alternatives and, generally, talked me from the ledge. Kim was good not only with us but with our contractor as well. It was clear that the GC we hired and his team respected and listened to her. She did hesitate to point out any errors and pushed to make sure they were corrected in a timely manner and to her exacting standards. Another element I would like to highlight is Kim’s creativity. She came up with a few, inexpensive, design elements that really pulled the entire project together! All in all, we love our new home and loved working with Kim. We would not hesitate to work with her again, should a need ever arise. And, we recommended Kim to our close friends with whom she is working now.

I can't say enough good things about Kimberly. After meeting with other architects and contractor/architects I decided to hire Kimberly because her design style was compatible with mine - simple, clean, modern. She helped us with the gut renovation of a co-op in Yorkville and came up with a different creative options for maximizing the layout of our apartment. She has excellent attention to detail which is reflected into the plans she draws up; she presented me with options for finishes and fixtures, and worked very well with my contractor. Most importantly, she was always cognizant of the budget and timeline I had in mind. Because of her attention to detail (with fixtures and finishes) we were able to push the project to on time completion. We enjoy our apartment everyday and are thankful that we hired Kimberly to design a beautiful home for us.

Our project was a gut renovation of an Upper West Side 2-bedroom co-op. If you want an architect who is a good communicator, personable, honest, innovative, artistic, a good manager and technically proficient, Kim should be your choice. She is a great listener and doesn't let her ego interfere with her client's best interests. Unlike many architects I've encountered, she truly puts her client's wishes first, but is forthright enough to express her opinion if her vision differs. All of this, and her fees are reasonable. Kimberly assisted me with renovation of my upper east side apartment. I interviewed few different architects and designers before I decided to go with Kimberly. It felt like a great fit for what I was looking for and she ended up exceeding my expectations. I don't have enough great things to say about Kimberly. Prior to us working together on my apartment I had noticed her work in a couple of location that she designed. During our demolition we discovered this beam in the apartment that we decided to keep exposed and totally rearranged the kitchen last minute. It was a main priority for us to have full kitchen and bathroom without it overpowering the space and we feel that this was accomplished. Kimberly is an amazing resource and she loves to collaborate with her clients. We couldn't be happier with her services we received everything on our wish list and now we live in our dream apartment. I contacted Kim regarding filing for a permit with the department of buildings. Kim was very fast with her emails: she emailed me within a few hours of my original email. She was very understanding of my needs and asked questions that I had not thought of that shed more light on my situation that I was unaware of. She was very knowledgeable about the permit process and offered different ideas to solve my problem. The only reason I did not hire Kim was due to location. This seems like a small thing but was important to me in the event that I need to visit her offices. I would highly recommend Kim as she will listen to your needs, is very professional, and she will not give you the run around.

Ms. Peck was terrific to work with! We are both artists living in an industrial space built in the late 19th century. As a result, we wanted to retain the integrity of this loft but also bring it up to date. Kimberly pointed us in the right direction enabling us to find beautiful but appropriate fixtures, cabinetry, hardware, and appliances. For example we used industrial outdoor lighting fixtures to go with our exposed conduit. We stripped the metal entrance doors and sand blasted cast iron radiators down to the metal and they look great. In our closet and painting storage racks we used a gas pipe structure with wood shelves. In the kitchen and bathroom we installed white subway tile 5' up and above that we used a white herringbone pattern to the 11' ceiling. The kitchen cabinetry is a white washed ash using ice box polished nickel hinges. We kept all updates very basic, white paint, chrome, and black. We removed two interior walls which opened up the kitchen/living area. This allowed light to flow into this bright new open space. All floors were sanded and refinished since we have beautiful original maple flooring. The bathroom flooring consists of 18" porcelain tiles with the look and feel of poured cement. Kimberly suggested a Kohler industrial sink which works very well for our paint pots. All photos of the finished project can be seen on her website under "artist's loft". Kimberly Peck decorated my 4,000 sq. foot Tribeca loft in 2005. She was the interior designer and helped with picking out furniture, window treatments, and implementing practical techniques to make my home feel both comforting and luxurious. She did such exceptional work that in 2010 I hired her in renovating my medical boutique office. I wanted to create a unique space that functioned as a medical office but looked like a boudoir. Kimberly saw my vision and created exactly what I envisioned.

Kim was perfect for our job, and a delight to work with. The project was to gut renovate 3 small bathrooms and, since we were going to have to file with the Department of Buildings, prepare technical drawings of our entire apartment so we could legalize the combinations done years ago. Kim was great on all aspects of the project, from beginning to end. She quickly understood our design aesthetic (even though it was a little different than her own), made great material choices, was always responsive and very attentive to details, and was very effective in working with our contractor.
