A home office off the kitchen can be concealed with a pocket door. Gray-painted maple Wood-Mode cabinetry complements the kitchen finishes but makes the space unique. **Project Overview** A small, quiet, efficient office space for one that is perfect for sorting mail and paying bills. Though small it has a great deal of natural light and views out the front of the house of the lush landscaping and wildlife. A pocket door makes the office disappear when it's time to entertain. **What Makes This Project Unique?** Small yet incredibly functional, this desk space is a comfortable, quiet place to catch up on home management tasks. Filled with natural light and offering a view of lush landscaping, the compact space is light and airy. To keep it from feeling cramped or crowded, we complemented warm gray-painted maple cabinetry with light countertops and tile. Taller ceilings allow ample storage, including full-height open storage, to manage all of the papers, files and extras that find their way into the home. **Design Challenges** While the office was intentionally designed into a tiny nook off the kitchen and pantry, we didn't want it to feel small for the people using it. By keeping the color palette light, taking cabinetry to the ceiling, incorporating open storage and maximizing natural light, the space feels cozy, and larger than it actually is. Transitional office featuring a Rustic Glam style by blending weathered and worn with sparkle and glimmer. What started as a mix of storage room, mini bar and craft room was transformed into an inspiring, creative office space. Project includes: Adding an entry door with transom window from the hallway, French wood floors, new exterior door, decorative lighting, custom floor plug, refabricating cabinets, refinishing cabinets, custom cabinets with lighting and all furnishings, custom dog bed and feature art designed by LMOH Home. | Photography Joshua Caldwell.

This room, in an early 20th century house, had been untouched for many years and our client wanted to create a functional home office with a warm atmosphere where she could display her collection of mementos. It needed complete stripping out of existing electrics, fitted wardrobe, retro wallpapers, carpets and decorations. New wiring to suit today’s digital needs were installed, original timber floorboards were partially sanded and oiled to retain their character. An antique fireplace, decorative cornice and skirtings were fitted to recreate the original period architectural details. Dark navy on the walls creates the rich and warm atmosphere which is enhanced by the light-coloured furniture and wall mounted mementos. Occasional flashes of pink create focal points in the space.

Bright home office, located right off of the main entry, features built ins for storage and display of collected artifacts. Soft, blue walls with a pop of color in the artwork, and accents of brass metal throughout set the tone for the rest of the spaces in the home.

What a lovely work space. This room has been finished off in the clients favourite colour. Plenty of space for storage and planety of desk space to work. The client hadnt thought of using the desk in this way in order to have their beautiful garden as the centrepiece of the office space. Now they get to look out everyday on their lovely garden whilst working. This was a design and build project.
