This new construction project embodies a fresh and masculine aesthetic with an efficient space plan for city living. Attention to scale was especially important in this townhouse setting. We took a creative approach to maximize the benefits of the open floorplan yet still define the respective function of each area. A large scaled custom built-in anchors the lounge area while balancing the kitchen and creating an organized, beautiful home for essentials and decor.

The use of a semi-circular hunt desk helps to soften the angles of a small home office. Note the antique velvet drapery border and how it blends with the baseboard. El otro dormitorio destinado para las niñas, se dispuso como sala de estudio, con un gran escritorio, espacio para su piano y añadimos dos pufs en zig zag blancos y negro para relajarse. Aunque las niñas tienen menos de 10 años, los colores no tienen edad ni género y el blanco y el negro son sus colores favoritos, y los que elegimos para esta estancia, añadiendo la madera, que aporta calidez.

The symmetrical front façade sets the tone by contrasting the earthy textures of shake and stone with a collection of crisp white trim that run throughout the home. Wrapping around the rear of this cottage is an expansive covered porch designed for entertaining and enjoying shaded Summer breezes. A pair of sliding doors allow the interior entertaining spaces to open up on the covered porch for a seamless indoor to outdoor transition. The openness of this compact plan still manages to provide plenty of storage in the form of a separate butlers pantry off from the kitchen, and a lakeside mudroom. The living room is centrally located and connects the master quite to the home’s common spaces. The master suite is given spectacular vistas on three sides with direct access to the rear patio and features two separate closets and a private spa style bath to create a luxurious master suite. Upstairs, you will find three additional bedrooms, one of which a private bath. The other two bedrooms share a bath that thoughtfully provides privacy between the shower and vanity.

Our client wanted a feminine office space and we ran with it! We went with the Bourdannaise desk, file cabinet and display cabinet in the natural wood from Ballard Designs, added a desk chair and artwork from Uttermost, rug from Home Goods, and chair and ottoman from Bernhardt. All in soft colors and feminine patterns...pretty and serene.
