This 4,500 sq ft basement in Long Island is high on luxe, style, and fun. It has a full gym, golf simulator, arcade room, home theater, bar, full bath, storage, and an entry mud area. The palette is tight with a wood tile pattern to define areas and keep the space integrated. We used an open floor plan but still kept each space defined. The golf simulator ceiling is deep blue to simulate the night sky. It works with the room/doors that are integrated into the paneling — on shiplap and blue. We also added lights on the shuffleboard and integrated inset gym mirrors into the shiplap. We integrated ductwork and HVAC into the columns and ceiling, a brass foot rail at the bar, and pop-up chargers and a USB in the theater and the bar. The center arm of the theater seats can be raised for cuddling. LED lights have been added to the stone at the threshold of the arcade, and the games in the arcade are turned on with a light switch. --- Project designed by Long Island interior design studio Annette Jaffe Interiors. This client wanted to have their kitchen as their centerpiece for their house. As such, I designed this kitchen to have a dark walnut natural wood finish with timeless white kitchen island combined with metal appliances. The entire home boasts an open, minimalistic, elegant, classy, and functional design, with the living room showcasing a unique vein cut silver travertine stone showcased on the fireplace. Warm colors were used throughout in order to make the home inviting in a family-friendly setting. Project designed by Denver, Colorado interior designer Margarita Bravo. Greg Hadley Photography The graphic artist client initially considered a basement studio. Our designer thought the attic would provide an ideal space. To bring in natural light, we added four skylights in the attic—two operable for venting and two fixed. We used spray foam insulation to create a comfortable environment. The combination light and fan in the center is both beautiful and functional. The HVAC equipment is located behind a door, and there additional storage behind the knee walls. We built a seat under the dormer window where the client’s dog likes to perch.

An indoor sports court under the garage, complete with a playhouse in the form of a castle. The playhouse features secret passageways and was originally built in the Casa Del Sol house plan, designed by Walker Home Design.

The South Wall is fully climbable! The "tree" and shapes around it can be climbed, floor to ceiling. Each of these features stand off the wall just over 1" and are cut from a soft-touch polymer that's rigid enough to take heavy climbers, but has a soft feel on hands and feet. We'll design shapes and themes according to each client's desires.
