Kitchens are magical and this chef wanted a kitchen full of the finest appliances and storage accessories available to make this busy household function better. We were working with the curved wood windows but we opened up the wall between the kitchen and family room, which allowed for a expansive countertop for the family to interact with the accomplished home chef. The flooring was not changed we simply worked with the floor plan and improved the layout.

We were hired to turn this standard townhome into an eclectic farmhouse dream. Our clients are worldly traveled, and they wanted the home to be the backdrop for the unique pieces they have collected over the years. We changed every room of this house in some way and the end result is a showcase for eclectic farmhouse style.

Classic country style with clever tricks to lift the eye and enlarge the room. Decorative extractor surround is heavy, yet draws the eye upward, increasing the perceived air in the space. Highly polished black engineered quartz benches act like a mirror and increase the width of the kitchen. A central timber bench-topped island adds the traditional warmth.

The front elevation sets the tone with its distinctive twin gable roofline and hipped main level roofline. Large forward facing windows are sheltered by a deep and inviting front porch, which is further detailed by its use of square columns, rafter tails, and old world copper lighting. Inside the foyer, all of the public spaces for entertaining guests are within eyesight. At the heart of this home is a living room bursting with traditional moldings, columns, and tiled fireplace surround. Opposite and on axis with the custom fireplace, is an expansive open concept kitchen with an island that comfortably seats four. During the spring and summer months, the entertainment capacity of the living room can be expanded out onto the rear patio featuring stone pavers, stone fireplace, and retractable screens for added convenience. A hill country farmhouse at 3,181 square feet and situated in the Texas hill country of New Braunfels, in the neighborhood of Copper Ridge, with only a fifteen minute drive north to Canyon Lake. Three key features to the exterior are the use of board and batten walls, reclaimed brick, and exposed rafter tails. On the inside it’s the wood beams, reclaimed wood wallboards, and tile wall accents that catch the eye around every corner of this three-bedroom home. Windows across each side flood the large kitchen and great room with natural light, offering magnificent views out both the front and the back of the home.
