This tiny kitchen located on the Main Line is hidden within an orginal old farmhouse in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. This gorgeous kitchen is not only charming, it also has very clean modern lines and elements. The clients selected the classic white, painted shaker cabinets from Fabuwood Cabinetry. The selection of all white materials, including a traditional white subway tile, white quartz countertops, and a simple white shaker door style gives this kitchen the sleek, modern style. The old laminate floor was removed to expose the beautiful, orginal hardwood floors that were refinsihed to bring out the more traditional, rustic farmhouse look. Although this kitchen is small, the white cabinets and finishes give the illusion that the space is much larger. This cozy kitchen is elegant, clean and stunning. The design kept the style of the kitchen true to the farmhouse style of the home while also adding a touch of modern to complete the design.

The renovation of a mid century cottage on the lake, now serves as a guest house. The renovation preserved the original architectural elements such as the ceiling and original stone fireplace to preserve the character, personality and history and provide the inspiration and canvas to which everything else would be added. To prevent the space from feeling dark & too rustic, the lines were kept clean, the furnishings modern and the use of saturated color was strategically placed throughout.

This house was a disaster! The victim of partial renovations and haphazard construction, it was in need of complete renovation, or maybe a wrecking ball. I completely reconfigured the space to create a light, bright open kitchen with a large island and a functional layout.

old stone cottage with contemporary steel cabinets and concrete countertops. old butcher block built into steel cabinetry. This 120 year old one room stone cabin features real rock walls and fireplace in a simple rectangle with real handscraped exposed beams. Old concrete floor, from who knows when? The stainless steel kitchen is new, everything is under counter, there are no upper cabinets at all. Antique butcher block sits on stainless steel cabinet, and an old tire chain found on the old farm is the hanger for the cooking utensils. Concrete counters and sink. Designed by Maraya Interior Design for their best friend, Paul Hendershot, landscape designer. Talk about bringing a kitchen up to date! Little details like the bin pulls and farmhouse sink give a nod to the distant past, but the general tone for this Hood River kitchen is "today." The white on white palette leaves the homeowner free to accessorize at will, but is grounded by the wood accents and beadboard texture of the cabinetry. The dining nook with beautiful distressed table brings people into the kitchen to enjoy time together and gives the area a homey feeling. Medallion Cabinetry will stand up to many years of use and preserve the look of this lovely kitchen for countless meals and gatherings. As always, the design was carefully curated by Allen's Fine Woodworking to ensure the space allows the homeowner to work smarter, not harder.

Simple and clean in-law unit kitchenette featuring quartz counter tops, decorative tile backsplash, hidden appliances, custom cabinetry, and engineered wide plank, oak flooring.

This Paradise Model ATU is extra tall and grand! As you would in you have a couch for lounging, a 6 drawer dresser for clothing, and a seating area and closet that mirrors the kitchen. Quartz countertops waterfall over the side of the cabinets encasing them in stone. The custom kitchen cabinetry is sealed in a clear coat keeping the wood tone light. Black hardware accents with contrast to the light wood. A main-floor bedroom- no crawling in and out of bed. The wallpaper was an owner request; what do you think of their choice? The bathroom has natural edge Hawaiian mango wood slabs spanning the length of the bump-out: the vanity countertop and the shelf beneath. The entire bump-out-side wall is tiled floor to ceiling with a diamond print pattern. The shower follows the high contrast trend with one white wall and one black wall in matching square pearl finish. The warmth of the terra cotta floor adds earthy warmth that gives life to the wood. 3 wall lights hang down illuminating the vanity, though durning the day, you likely wont need it with the natural light shining in from two perfect angled long windows. This Paradise model was way customized. The biggest alterations were to remove the loft altogether and have one consistent roofline throughout. We were able to make the kitchen windows a bit taller because there was no loft we had to stay below over the kitchen. This ATU was perfect for an extra tall person. After editing out a loft, we had these big interior walls to work with and although we always have the high-up octagon windows on the interior walls to keep thing light and the flow coming through, we took it a step (or should I say foot) further and made the french pocket doors extra tall. This also made the shower wall tile and shower head extra tall. We added another ceiling fan above the kitchen and when all of those awning windows are opened up, all the hot air goes right up and out.

After many years of white painted kitchens trending strong, blue offers a wonderful option of timelessness, especially here in Chicago – the heart of the Midwest. Blue is a color we accept readily in Chicago as it is a nod to the many lakes & rivers here. Blue is a color choice men tend to feel especially comfortable with, as it is a color often found in their wardrobes. And, blues tending towards the navy hue are timeless; hence the painted blue cabinetry in this Chicago bungalow’s kitchen is clean & Contemporary while being timeless – all in one remodel.
