Lauren Pennisi Interiors

Lauren helped us completely redo our kitchen - the old one was attractive on the surface, but failing in every way with sloping floors, leaking windows - it was a complete gut to the studs. I wanted to stick with some traditional details but done in a more modern style - Shaker cabinets, crystal knobs, real hardwood floors, even a wood ceiling - and Lauren was able to help us bring that to life. We went through many design iterations - back and forth for a while - 'til we chose what worked best for our house and us. Never did Lauren complain about all my tweaks, and I made many. During the process, our goals changed. We decided to sell our house once we were done with the kitchen, so that allowed us to let go of some personal preferences in favor of choices that might be more appealing to a buyer. Lauren helped us refine our choices in light of that decision. The whole time, she was encouraging, positive, and solution-oriented. She has such a "no problem" and "can do" attitude that really calmed me when I was stressed about things. She facilitated contractor communication, helped source items, had an excellent cabinet resource (well, two, but the first one had a family emergency and she was able to help us change cabinet companies) - she thought of everything. She also dealt with a particularly frustrating and complicated appliance order - they weren't coming in, then there was a wrong one, then the wrong installer guys sent (twice), and there was an appliance return. It was a particularly stressful experience dealing with the appliance company, and she took care of all of it. Finally, I am a someone who likes to be very involved in the design process. I wanted to be part of every decision. I like to consider oodles of options for everything, from lights to cabinet hinges. Lauren was totally fine with that. We'd both order samples of things and compare, we'd pass photos of fixtures back and forth - she was happy to have me as involved as I wanted to be in the design. I'm only sad that we've moved out of the area and won't be able to use her services again. Lauren has a clean, modern aesthetic that lends itself to any other design direction one may want to go. BTW, may name is Lauren too - just in case there's confusion with that. :-D

I NEED to say again......you are a brilliant and a miracle worker!! We were in a difficult place in that we kept patch working the house to fix what we could when we could. I called Lauren in a rush as in our haste of fixing our floors, I then needed the paint colors and wow was I in well over my head! Not only did she make her self available in the timing we needed it, but she fixed my house in a matter of minutes!! We had three rooms in the front of the house that I had “chopped” up (with design and color) she again in a short time was able to recommend the new color scheme that went beautifully with my new floors and made it seamless flow from one room to the next, which is exactly what I wanted but no clue how to get there myself! In addition she took the extra time with me to discuss my window treatments, area rugs and special color to touches!! She even recommended which lightbulb to get that would allow my paint color to reflect the true color it is meant to be!! Who would have thought a light bulb would drastically change the color and feel of the room?? Well I know I didn’t...and Lauren sure did!! We have more projects in the near future and I know without a doubt I will not be doing any of them without Lauren Pennisi Interiors!! Even in my small little old home in the short time she was here, she made a lifetime of difference!

Lauren is an amazing interior decorator/designer. Lauren listens and is very open and responsive to different ideas, yet will guide you in the right direction! Lauren made our home rustic, beautiful and comfy. Lauren was very timely, patient and thorough!! I would highly recommend lauren to transform your home into your dream home!
