Located in Edgemere Historic District in Oklahoma City, this kitchen is open to the dining room and living room. Design by Jo Meacham, M.Arch Showplace Cabinets, Inset style, Pendleton doors, painted Soft Cream.

This project involved converting a dark and dated, exposed log kitchen to something lighter and more functional for a young family. We removed a cramped island and had to max out storage in other ways by adding pull out trash, pantry and utensil stations. Painting the v-groove paneling white and covering the logs with full height tile made the small space much more airy and cheerful.

Kitchen in newly remodeled home- entire building design by Maraya Design, built by Droney Construction. Arto terra cotta floors, hand waxed, newly designed rustic open beam ceiling, plaster hood, white painted cabinetry, oak counters, and leathered ocean black granite island counter. Limestone backsplash. Light painted walls with dark wood flooring. Walls with thick plaster arches, simple and intricate tile designs, feel very natural and earthy in the warm Southern California sun. Plaster range hood and custom painted Malibu tile back splash. Stained wood beams and trusses, planked ceilings over wide planked oak floors with several shapes of hand dark waxed terra cotta tiles. Leathered black granite and wood counters int ehkitchen, along with a long island. Plaster fireplace with tile surround and brick hearth, tie into the patio spaces all with the same red brick paving. paramount woodworking This was a custom kitchen we designed and built last year. It was an older farmhouse that was remodeled. The customer was looking for a modern farmhouse theme. We went with painted white shaker style cabinets with walnut floating shelfs and a 12 foot long 3 inch thick matching island top.

This Transitional Farmhouse Kitchen was completely remodeled and the home is nestled on the border of Pasadena and South Pasadena. Our goal was to keep the original charm of our client’s home while updating the kitchen in a way that was fresh and current. Our design inspiration began with a deep green soapstone counter top paired with creamy white cabinetry. Carrera marble subway tile for the backsplash is a luxurious splurge and adds classic elegance to the space. The stainless steel appliances and sink create a more transitional feel, while the shaker style cabinetry doors and schoolhouse light fixture are in keeping with the original style of the home. Tile flooring resembling concrete is clean and simple and seeded glass in the upper cabinet doors help make the space feel open and light. This kitchen has a hidden microwave and custom range hood design, as well as a new pantry area, for added storage. The pantry area features an appliance garage and deep-set counter top for multi-purpose use. These features add value to this small space. The finishing touches are polished nickel cabinet hardware, which add a vintage look and the cafe curtains are the handiwork of the homeowner. This new kitchen sits effortlessly alongside the aged stonework of the barn. Respecting the old whilst adding a hint of modern luxury. Sustainable Kitchens - A Traditional Country Kitchen. 17th Century Grade II listed barn conversion with oak worktops and cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball Tallow. The cabinets have traditional beading and mouldings. The 300 year old exposed bricks and farmhouse sink help maintain the traditional style. There is an oven tower and American style fridge and freezer combination with a larder on either side. The beams are original.

Rustic beadboard panels surround the island, meshing it with the lower cabinetry featured throughout the kitchen. The floors are an easy to clean wood style ceramic tile. The tile is a great choice for clients who want a rustic or classic floor style, without using real hardwood.
