Creating a space to entertain was the top priority in this Mukwonago kitchen remodel. The homeowners wanted seating and counter space for hosting parties and watching sports. By opening the dining room wall, we extended the kitchen area. We added an island and custom designed furniture-style bar cabinet with retractable pocket doors. A new awning window overlooks the backyard and brings in natural light. Many in-cabinet storage features keep this kitchen neat and organized. Bar Cabinet The furniture-style bar cabinet has retractable pocket doors and a drop-in quartz counter. The homeowners can entertain in style, leaving the doors open during parties. Guests can grab a glass of wine or make a cocktail right in the cabinet. Outlet Strips Outlet strips on the island and peninsula keeps the end panels of the island and peninsula clean. The outlet strips also gives them options for plugging in appliances during parties. Modern Farmhouse Design The design of this kitchen is modern farmhouse. The materials, patterns, color and texture define this space. We used shades of golds and grays in the cabinetry, backsplash and hardware. The chevron backsplash and shiplap island adds visual interest. Custom Cabinetry This kitchen features frameless custom cabinets with light rail molding. It’s designed to hide the under cabinet lighting and angled plug molding. Putting the outlets under the cabinets keeps the backsplash uninterrupted. Storage Features Efficient storage and organization was important to these homeowners. We opted for deep drawers to allow for easy access to stacks of dishes and bowls. Under the cooktop, we used custom drawer heights to meet the homeowners’ storage needs. A third drawer was added next to the spice drawer rollout. Narrow pullout cabinets on either side of the cooktop for spices and oils. The pantry rollout by the double oven rotates 90 degrees. Other Updates Staircase – We updated the staircase with a barn wood newel post and matte black balusters Fireplace – We whitewashed the fireplace and added a barn wood mantel and pilasters.

We took our clients home to the next level. A touch of glamour from every vantage point and a custom crafted the hood center stage finished in stainless and accented with matte brass. Sitting snuggly next to the custom hood are wall cabinets in a two-toned finish with X mullions. The inserts in the wall cabinets where chosen to be an antique mirror to add a big of glam but also to keep the mess hidden behind the door. It’s not just a place to cook dinner, it’s an interior design, it’s decor that deserves to be featured in a magazine. Metallic accents will give your kitchen a glamorous touch no matter its style or design: silver, bronze, rose or yellow gold work especially great in neutral black and white interiors. Patterned, metallic, or textured, interesting backsplash tile bring this kitchen to the next level by adding character to the kitchen design. Across from the kitchen is the open family room area that lacked seating and flow. Our design team felt like it was important to combine this kitchen and family room into a great room and not single entities. Every room should connect to those around it in some way. Conception d’aménagements sur mesure pour une maison de 110m² au cœur du vieux Ménilmontant. Pour ce projet la tâche a été de créer des agencements car la bâtisse était vendue notamment sans rangements à l’étage parental et, le plus contraignant, sans cuisine. C’est une ambiance haussmannienne très douce et familiale, qui a été ici créée, avec un intérieur reposant dans lequel on se sent presque comme à la campagne.

What happens when you combine an amazingly trusting client, detailed craftsmanship by MH Remodeling and a well orcustrated design? THIS BEAUTY! A uniquely customized main level remodel with little details in every knock and cranny!

This kitchen was 20 years old with stained cabinets and felt dark and heavy. We painted all of the perimeter cabinets a beautiful blue grey and the island is a custom white with black glazing. For the countertops the perimeter is a grey and white quartzite and the island is a leathered black honed granite. The old sink was replaced with a Farmhouse styled white porcelain apron, a new faucet and added a hot/cold water dispenser. The old trash compactor was removed and replaced with a double trash pull-out drawer, a two drawer beverage fridge and ice maker were added as well. For the backspalsh we selected white marble tiles in a hexagon shape and added new geometric pendant lights over the peninsula.
