Old World European, Country Cottage. Three separate cottages make up this secluded village over looking a private lake in an old German, English, and French stone villa style. Hand scraped arched trusses, wide width random walnut plank flooring, distressed dark stained raised panel cabinetry, and hand carved moldings make these traditional farmhouse cottage buildings look like they have been here for 100s of years. Newly built of old materials, and old traditional building methods, including arched planked doors, leathered stone counter tops, stone entry, wrought iron straps, and metal beam straps. The Lake House is the first, a Tudor style cottage with a slate roof, 2 bedrooms, view filled living room open to the dining area, all overlooking the lake. The Carriage Home fills in when the kids come home to visit, and holds the garage for the whole idyllic village. This cottage features 2 bedrooms with on suite baths, a large open kitchen, and an warm, comfortable and inviting great room. All overlooking the lake. The third structure is the Wheel House, running a real wonderful old water wheel, and features a private suite upstairs, and a work space downstairs. Updated kitchen to farmhouse modern. Features include brick tile flooring, glass subway tile, white Shaker cabinets with stainless steel appliances, apron sink, accent lighting inside glass cabinets and under-mount cabinet lighting. Accent walls include white shiplap. Other rooms updated in this project include: mudroom, laundry room, dining room and powder room.

All custom made cabinetry that was color matched to the entire suite of GE Cafe matte white appliances paired with champagne bronze hardware that coordinates beautifully with the Delta faucet and cabinet / drawer hardware. The counter surfaces are Artic White quartz with custom hand painted clay tiles for the entire range wall with custom floating shelves and backsplash. We used my favorite farrow & ball Babouche 223 (yellow) paint for the island and Sherwin Williams 7036 Accessible Beige on the walls. Hanging over the island is a pair of glazed clay pots that I customized into light pendants. We also replaced the builder grade hollow core back door with a custom designed iron and glass security door. The barstools were a fabulous find on Craigslist that we became mixologists with a selection of transparent stains to come up with the perfect shade of teal and we installed brand new bamboo flooring! This was such a fun project to do, even amidst Covid with all that the pandemic delayed, and a much needed burst of cheer as a daily result.

Rugs can act as a barrier between your kitchen floors and potential sources of damage. Area rugs in your kitchen can also enhance the overall design and aesthetics of the space. Take a look at this colorful indoor outdoor runner rug we created for our client. Our client wanted a colorful 2' x 6' runner rug in between the kitchen island and sink. The runner was cut to preferred size and fabricated with a navy binding. Our client and their furry friend "Oscar" simply love the runner!

We took this kitchen down to the studs. Added all new white soft close cabinets, with black hardware. We added white quartz counter tops. We added a wave light blue subway tile. Tile is 3x12. Lastly we added black lantern light fixtures.

You don't have to stick with a single color of cabinet or countertop. In this kitchen, we used a lighter stain on the wall cabinets to contrast with the navy backsplash and island. We also used a lovely, blue-veined quartz for half the counters and a bold, blue-veined granite for the rest.

Natural light floods into this colorful, cheery kitchen with a seriously long kitchen island perfect for all the food prep, homework and Saturday morning DIY projects this family will be sharing, This kitchen is filled with some impressive tech and gadgets from the state of the art smart fridge that keeps track of grocery lists, family schedules, recipes and more to the sleek under-mount sink with multiple work station interchangeable accessories, drain shelves, and cutting boards to name a few. The corner chest freezer is one of our favorite hidden treasures - this was custom built with a top loading hinge tucked beneath the wood countertop surface.
