From bare studs to bright and stunning, This customer tore their former kitchen down to its foundation to build this kitchen inspiration. With a soft blend of whites, grays, and Hickory wood throughout the space, the natural light from the windows makes this kitchen glow with warmth. This kitchen is an example of when simplistic elegance is enough. Featuring a custom beverage bar, a charming small desk, a walk-in pantry, as well as an intentional bottom-heavy design with few wall cabinets, this kitchen marries aesthetics and functionality, the familiarity of a farmhouse, and the efficiency of a commercial kitchen.

The homeowners wanted to open up their living and kitchen area to create a more open plan. We relocated doors and tore open a wall to make that happen. New cabinetry and floors where installed and the ceiling and fireplace where painted. This home now functions the way it should for this young family!

Warm farmhouse kitchen nestled in the suburbs has a welcoming feel, with soft repose gray cabinets, two islands for prepping and entertaining and warm wood contrasts.

This kitchen features an island focal point.The custom countertop shows stunning color and grain from Sapele, a beautiful hardwood. The cabinets are made from solid wood with a fun Blueberry paint, and a built in microwave drawer.

Bright, open and airy Knocking through a few rooms to create a large open-plan area, the owners of this sleek kitchen wanted to create a free, fluid space that made the kitchen the unequivocal hub of the home whilst at the same time stylistically linking to the rest of the property. We were tasked with creating a large open-plan kitchen and dining area that also leads through to a cosy snug, ideal for relaxing after a hard afternoon over the Aga!! The owners gave us creative control in the space, so with a loose rein and a clear head we fashioned a faultless kitchen complete with a large central island, a sunken sink and Quooker tap. For optimum storage (and a dash of style) we built a number of large larders, one of which cleverly conceals a television, as well as a false chimney surround to frame the Aga and a bespoke drinks unit. All the units are hand-crafted from Quebec Yellow Timber and hand-painted in Zoffany ‘Smoke’ and ‘Elephant Gray’ Walnut worktops, with Silestone ‘Lagoon’ Worktops around the outside and American Black Walnut on the island. An urban townhome gets a sophisticated farmhouse influenced makeover. This home had a small, closed off kitchen which was not functional for this busy family. By removing the wall to the dining room the house is open from front to back, creating a large, open space for family fun, dining and entertainment. The kitchen features contrasting cabinets with a light wood finish on the base cabinets contrasting with white uppers. The butler's pantry area features glass front cabinets to keep the space open and airy. Marble backsplash with a contrasting patterned backsplash accent at the microwave bar adds texture, color and interest. The peninsula is perfect for entertaining and features a farmhouse sink and rustic pendant lighting. The kitchen opens to the dining room and the great room. This has become a beautiful, functional kitchen and entertainment space for a family on the go.

Inheriting a white kitchen with glazed cabinets was not what this new homeowner expected. She is more of a shabby-chic farmhouse type. While they loved the hearth and tile work, it would be quite an expense to replace this many cabinets. The solution, reface them in a Driftwood and Portobella stain that both offer the rustic look the homeowner was going for. Maintain the new warm palette by replacing the countertops in Cambria Warm for a subtle, yet elegant kitchen design.

Creating a space to entertain was the top priority in this Mukwonago kitchen remodel. The homeowners wanted seating and counter space for hosting parties and watching sports. By opening the dining room wall, we extended the kitchen area. We added an island and custom designed furniture-style bar cabinet with retractable pocket doors. A new awning window overlooks the backyard and brings in natural light. Many in-cabinet storage features keep this kitchen neat and organized. Bar Cabinet The furniture-style bar cabinet has retractable pocket doors and a drop-in quartz counter. The homeowners can entertain in style, leaving the doors open during parties. Guests can grab a glass of wine or make a cocktail right in the cabinet. Outlet Strips Outlet strips on the island and peninsula keeps the end panels of the island and peninsula clean. The outlet strips also gives them options for plugging in appliances during parties. Modern Farmhouse Design The design of this kitchen is modern farmhouse. The materials, patterns, color and texture define this space. We used shades of golds and grays in the cabinetry, backsplash and hardware. The chevron backsplash and shiplap island adds visual interest. Custom Cabinetry This kitchen features frameless custom cabinets with light rail molding. It’s designed to hide the under cabinet lighting and angled plug molding. Putting the outlets under the cabinets keeps the backsplash uninterrupted. Storage Features Efficient storage and organization was important to these homeowners. We opted for deep drawers to allow for easy access to stacks of dishes and bowls. Under the cooktop, we used custom drawer heights to meet the homeowners’ storage needs. A third drawer was added next to the spice drawer rollout. Narrow pullout cabinets on either side of the cooktop for spices and oils. The pantry rollout by the double oven rotates 90 degrees. Other Updates Staircase – We updated the staircase with a barn wood newel post and matte black balusters Fireplace – We whitewashed the fireplace and added a barn wood mantel and pilasters.

The Kelso's Kitchen boasts a beautiful combination of modern and rustic elements.
