The TV den off the main Living Area (which can double as a guest room when needed) was all about cozy comfort and warm soft finishes. Most of the floor is covered by a custom thick silver colored silk shag rug from our rug collection - the vintage space age chair with ottoman was restored and covered in a super plush mohair velvet - the custom parsons style side tables are covered in linen - the walls are covered in a sand colored grasscloth

This modern Aspen interior design defined by clean lines, timeless furnishings and neutral color pallet contrast strikingly with the rugged landscape of the Colorado Rockies that create the stunning panoramic view for the full height windows. The large fireplace is built with solid stone giving the room strength while the massive timbers supporting the ceiling give the room a grand feel. The centrally located bar makes a great place to gather while multiple spaces to lounge and relax give you and your guest the option of where to unwind.

The Custom Built in and Fireplace rework set the tone for the new Living Room. The backdrop to the built-ins was a sort of whitewashed shiplap wood wall detail. A clean neutral palette of fabrics in the linen tones made the space very comfortable. Geoffrey Hodgdon Photography

The clients enjoy having friends over to watch movies or slide shows from recent travels, but they did not want the TV to be a focal point. The team’s solution was to mount a flat screen TV on a recessed wall mounting bracket that extends and swivels for optimal viewing positions, yet rests flat against the wall when not in use. A DVD player, cable box and other attachments remotely connect to the TV from a storage location in the kitchen desk area. Our antique timbers are normally shipped as raw pieces, but we also offer a natural tung oil finish if you prefer a softer look.
