Rudloff Custom BuildersThis step-down family room features a coffered ceiling and a fireplace with a black slate hearth. We made the fireplace’s surround and mantle to match the raised paneled doors on the built-in storage cabinets on the right. For a unified look and to create a subtle focal point, we added moulding to the rest of the wall and above the fireplace.
Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors.

Havlicek Builders Inc.This 2 story home with a first floor Master Bedroom features a tumbled stone exterior with iron ore windows and modern tudor style accents. The Great Room features a wall of built-ins with antique glass cabinet doors that flank the fireplace and a coffered beamed ceiling. The adjacent Kitchen features a large walnut topped island which sets the tone for the gourmet kitchen. Wheatland Custom Cabinetry & WoodworkWe delivered this fireplace surround and mantle based on an inspiration photo from our clients. First, a bump out from the wall needed to be created. Next we wrapped the bump out with woodwork finished in a gray. Next we built and installed the white fireplace mantle and surround.

Swanson HomesStarting with the great room; the center of attention is the linear fireplace faced with rich walnut paneling and flanked by walnut floating shelves with storage cabinets below painted “Railings” by Farrow & Ball. Gold Clemente Wall sconces spotlight family pictures and whimsical art pieces. Notice the custom wall paneling with an inset fit perfectly for the mounted TV. This wall paneling aligns so perfectly with a thoughtfully curated bookshelf that covertly opens to a (Surprise!) home office.

Hankins & Associates, Inc. - Kitchens and BathsThe room began with builder grade wall-to-wall carpeting, beamless sheetrocked ceilings and a lifeless, unimaginative golden oak fireplace surround. The room was tranformed into this inviting friend and family space, featuring a large flatscreen TV, recessed into (and flush with) custom wainscot fireplace surround. Custom 12-in wide beaded board, together with custom beams were milled to create this beautiful ceiling detail. The original hanging ceiling fan was removed to make way for this wonderfully scaled chrome hanging fixture.

Now the house is bright and light, featuring open layouts, loads of natural light, and a clean design maximizing family living areas. Highlights include:

- installing custom millwork and moulding in the curved staircase and foyer
- creating a stunning, contemporary kitchen, with marble counter tops, white subway tile back splash, and an eating nook.
