Joni was very patient with me choosing my railings. Paul did a great job showing me different color options for my oil based finish. I did have an issue with my wooden floor louvres. Oil was generally pushed down the vents and later I was told that louvres couldn’t be sanded and that was the reason the oil was uneven and gloppy. They offered to replace the vents (at shared expense) but I felt this wasn’t worth the trouble. I wish I had known at the outset and would have replaced them at the initial sanding. I was also sent a final invoice before any final inspection was scheduled. Returning from out of town I found the railings were rough and needed to be buffed and oiled again. Never send a final invoice before final inspection! I think better communication would have been beneficial.

We had an outstanding experience with Artistic Floors by Design! They installed beautiful hickory hardwood flooring in our kitchen, dining room, living room, and office and the results exceeded our expectations. Joe and his team were true perfectionists—from installation to sanding, staining, and the final finish, every detail was handled with care and precision. Joe also went above and beyond by creating a custom faux live edge knotty alder countertop for our bar area that turned out absolutely stunning. Throughout the entire process, communication from co-owner Joni was excellent—clear, responsive, and professional every step of the way. We’ve received so many compliments from friends and neighbors, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend Artistic Flooring by Design!

We hired Artistic Floors to refinish the existing hardwood floors and replace existing stairs railing. We are very happy with the company. From the early stages of project discussions, to the consistent communication, to the execution of the project. The floors feel like brand new! And the stairs loos amazing. We are very happy with the final product and highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

This is our second project with Artistic Floors by Design. Also the second project that has gone seamlessly. We knew what to expect, and when it was happening. Our project consisted of removal of carpet and engineered hardwoods, and replacing with solid oak flooring. It was a ton of work, but our crew (Joe, Colin, Paul) did an excellent job, and we couldn't be happier with the result.

We are so happy that we chose to work with Joni and Artistic Floors by Design. This company is clearly a step ahead when it comes to knowledge and know-how on wood floors. They go through ongoing trainings and learn directly from the companies who supplies the stains, which means they know exactly how a stain will react on your floors. They give advice and suggestions based on the look and feel that you want in your home, and they take their job very seriously. We had the pleasure of working with Joni for the initial estimate and consultation of what we were looking for in our home, and then we were blessed to have Paul work on our floors. Paul was on time, or even early (waiting in his car until the exact time he said he would be there), every day and he worked a full day and then left consistently. He told me the first day I met him that he would be at our house working from 8-4 everyday, and that he was! He laid an area of new flooring for us to match the old, and he sanded with care and precision, getting even hard to reach places behind stone fireplaces, and he walked me through every step on the process. Paul was also knowledgable when it came to the staining. He laid down three colors based on my feedback, and then when I wanted something slightly different, he mixed up two colors to get me the ultimate color I wanted. He wrote everything down so that in the future we could be exact on what color I had chosen. Joni and Paul helped me understand the differences in types of finishes and what would work for our hectic boy family. After our job was finished, we absolutely loved the color and finish, but (we are nit-picky) we noticed a few spots that filler hadn't gotten all the way into the cracks between the boards. We told Joni right away, and her husband, Joe, came over the following workday to fix these little spots. Joe was also kind and knowledgeable and more than willing to help us with our floors both now and in the future if we had any questions or concerns. I would not hesitate to use this company again. Additionally, I would like to say that I had hired another company approximately five years ago to refinish my floors. This company came and sanded just fine, but then they laid the stain in a splotchy manner. When we asked them to come back and finish the job, they came back and agreed that there was an issue with even tone across the flooring, but they refused to fix it - saying they had other customers to get to. At that point in time, we were bummed that we had not used Artistic Floors. So, this time around, we are so happy with our floors and with the level of customer service provided by Paul, Joni, and Joe. Thank you, Artistic Floors!
