Our west 8th Condo was all about making the closed condo into an open concept living space that takes advantage of the amazing daylight the unit enjoys. We brought in European touches through the herringbone floor, detailed finishing carpentry, and beautiful hardware on the doors and cabinets. Every square inch in this kitchen was utilized to maximize the storage for the homeowner.

This stunning, contemporary beachfront house, located on Malibu Road, has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with beautiful panoramic views of the Colony and Santa Monica Bay and beyond. A bright and open floor plan with vaulted ceilings boasts hardwood floors and chefs kitchen. The living room and master bedroom both open to an expansive balcony space that overlooks the beaches. Endless coastline and Pacific Coast views. Direct beach access from the deck of the property.

This major renovation of a 1906 Victorian home includes a brand new 459 sqft family room addition, a wrap around cedar deck, a new layout on the main and second floor, and updates throughout all 4 floors which were completely gutted, re-insulated and drywalled. We also replaced all the old cast iron radiators with a high efficiency furnace and A/C, along with new electrical and plumbing. The kitchen was moved and expanded, and a breakfast nook was added where the old kitchen was. The upstairs layout was also reconfigured, moving the bathrooms for better overall flow and use of space. This made room for a grand master bedroom suite with a new walk in closet as well. Stand out features are the coffered ceiling in the great room that accents the open kitchen and eating area, leading into the dining room that boasts traditional wainscoting and a huge arched doorway that leads to the sitting room. The traditional touches in the layout and design keep with the old Victorian style in the 1906 existing home.

Die ungewöhnlichen Wandlampen haben Fien Muller und Hannes van Severen, ein belgisches Künstlerpaar, entworfen. Der Lampenschirm ist aus Glas, die Fassung (E27) aus Messing, genauso wie die Wandhalterung. Man kann die Lampen schwenken. Sie eignen sich hervorragend als Leselampe über dem Sofa, Hanging Lamp No. 1 oder No. 3 passen auch sehr gut über einen Esstisch, weil sie ziemlich weit auskragen. Die Lampen sind in unterschiedlichen Farben erhältlich, teilweise auch komplett in Messing. Das Schneidebretter-Set ist auch von Muller van Severen. Die unregelmäßig geformten Bretter ergeben eine tolle Wandskulptur, aufgehängt auf einem robusten Messinghaken.
