Cara is extremely attentive to every detail of our renovation project. She designed the interior of the house very closely to what we have envisioned. Although the project took much longer than expected during the pandemic, Cara was patient and followed through with the project all the way until the completion day.

Cara was an absolute professional throughout the entire Renovation. She simplified the process by providing options for every possible item and was open to our design suggestions. She completely changed the function of our main floor (approximately 1600 sqft) and we couldn't have completed the Renovation without her. He did an amzing job and we love the final product. I appreciated her willingness to work through various issues and plan on using Triple Dot Design Studio when we renovate the remainder of our house. Cara did a wonderful job on our full basement renovation. When designing the project, she really had a great sense of what we needed, and knew exactly how to help us push our simple (some say boring) design ideas into a more interesting direction that still suited our style. We are so happy with the final result. She was also great at helping us during the construction phase, especially through the stress of the things that come up that no one could have foreseen, and taking on a major construction project in the summer of 2020. She is the consummate professional, she is organized, precise and focused and she helped us communicate with the contractors when things got bumpy. I had Cara from Triple Dot Design Studio provide all of the design and quality control for our 3-story townhouse reno after a water leak forced us to make some decisions back in March 2020 when the pandemic was just starting up. I did a lot of research and spoke to 3 reputable designers in the Vancouver area, all who’ve won awards for their work, and I ended up going with Cara since she was the easiest to discuss things with, and I really loved the photos I saw of her past work. 11 months later during pandemic times, we’re at the very tail end of our reno where we can appreciate the beauty of what we’ve got. Cara has an incredible ability to understand our wants, and her process in translating those to something that can be built is very impressive and a pleasure to be a part of. I can’t think back to a single decision that required more than 3 sets of options before she’s absolutely nailed what we were looking for. Now that we can actually see the end result, I’m happy to say she’s surpassed my expectations and really has transformed our kitchen and home into something incredibly functional and beautiful, beyond what I had dreamt up in my head, even after reviewing her drawings and renderings of the kitchen. In the end, all of the decisions were ours, but Cara kept us within the guard rails to ensure we’d have a cohesive end result. We ended up with a complete overhaul of the bottom floor where the kitchen, dining and living space is, and up on the 2nd floor we updated 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a hallway. Anyone who walks into our place is blown away by the transformation and how open it looks compared to how it was. We’ve had 2 people literally tell us “how is this possible?”. My advice to anyone considering doing a major renovation is to hire a good designer.
