BARRETT STUDIO architectsThis is a quintessential Colorado home. Massive raw steel beams are juxtaposed with refined fumed larch cabinetry, heavy lashed timber is foiled by the lightness of window walls. Monolithic stone walls lay perpendicular to a curved ridge, organizing the home as they converge in the protected entry courtyard. From here, the walls radiate outwards, both dividing and capturing spacious interior volumes and distinct views to the forest, the meadow, and Rocky Mountain peaks. An exploration in craftmanship and artisanal masonry & timber work, the honesty of organic materials grounds and warms expansive interior spaces.

ChangoThis is the informal den or family room of the home. Slipcovers were used on the lighter colored items to keep everything washable and easy to maintain. Coffee tables were replaced with two oversized tufted ottomans in dark gray which sit on a custom made beige and cream zebra pattern rug. The lilac and white wallpaper was carried to this room from the adjacent kitchen. Dramatic linen window treatments were hung on oversized black wood rods, giving the room height and importance.
Michelle's InteriorsA custom cocktail-ottoman is the centerpiece of this intimate conversation area in the open plan family room. Upholstered in leather and trimmed with nail heads, it brings a hint of cattle country to this sophisticated setting. But there are so many details that make this space special. Notice the fringed skirts and nailheads on the arm chairs and their lumbar pillows bordered in pom pons. Plus, the custom rug is a subtle reference to a spotted animal skin.

La Bella Casa Interior DesignsPartition to entry was removed for an open floor plan. Bar length was extended. 2 support beams concealed by being built into the design plan. Theatre Room entry was relocated to opposite side of room to maximize seating. Gym entry area was opened up to provide better flow and maximize floor plan. Bathroom was updated as well to complement other areas.
Ann Lowengart InteriorsWe juxtaposed bold colors and contemporary furnishings with the early twentieth-century interior architecture for this four-level Pacific Heights Edwardian. The home's showpiece is the living room, where the walls received a rich coat of blackened teal blue paint with a high gloss finish, while the high ceiling is painted off-white with violet undertones. Against this dramatic backdrop, we placed a streamlined sofa upholstered in an opulent navy velour and companioned it with a pair of modern lounge chairs covered in raspberry mohair. An artisanal wool and silk rug in indigo, wine, and smoke ties the space together.
John Cannon HomesInspired by the laid-back California lifestyle, the Baylin’s many windows fill the house upstairs and down with a welcoming light that lends it a casual-contemporary feel. Of course, there’s nothing casual about the detailed craftsmanship or state-of-the-art technologies and appliances that make this a Cannon classic. A customized one-floor option is available.

One whole wall features a custom fifteen foot glass fireplace that is surrounded by faux limestone.
Michelle's InteriorsTo create a one-of-a-kind fireplace in the open plan family room, I chose a mosaic border of glass and travertine tiles surrounded by a wider border of vein-cut, travertine. I finished the interior with bricks laid in a herringbone pattern.
