With a grand total of 1,247 square feet of living space, the Lincoln Deck House was designed to efficiently utilize every bit of its floor plan. This home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a two-car detached garage and boasts an impressive great room, whose soaring ceilings and walls of glass welcome the outside in to make the space feel one with nature.

Interior and Exterior Renovations to existing HGTV featured Tiny Home. We modified the exterior paint color theme and painted the interior of the tiny home to give it a fresh look. The interior of the tiny home has been decorated and furnished for use as an AirBnb space. Outdoor features a new custom built deck and hot tub space.

This picture gives you an idea how the garage, main house, and ADU are arranged on the property. Our goal was to minimize the impact to the backyard, maximize privacy of each living space from one another, maximize light for each building, etc. One way in which we were able to accomplish that was building the ADU slab on grade to keep it as low to the ground as possible and minimize it's solar footprint on the property. Cutting up the roof not only made it more interesting from the house above but also helped with solar footprint. The garage was reduced in length by about 8' to accommodate the ADU. This backyard cottage was built for the owners parents to use as a pied-a-terre while visiting. It houses a generous one car garage with a 320 sf apartment above. Deep in the woods, this mountain cabin just outside Asheville, NC, was designed as the perfect weekend getaway space. The owner uses it as an Airbnb for income. From the wooden cathedral ceiling to the nature-inspired loft railing, from the wood-burning free-standing stove, to the stepping stone walkways—everything is geared toward easy relaxation. For maximum interior space usage, the sleeping loft is accessed via an outside stairway.

Exceptional design featuring premium materials, including James Hardie paneling with plank accent trim, gorgeous cedar soffits and gutters with neatly disguised downspouts.

The client came to us to assist with transforming their small family cabin into a year-round residence that would continue the family legacy. The home was originally built by our client’s grandfather so keeping much of the existing interior woodwork and stone masonry fireplace was a must. They did not want to lose the rustic look and the warmth of the pine paneling. The view of Lake Michigan was also to be maintained. It was important to keep the home nestled within its surroundings. There was a need to update the kitchen, add a laundry & mud room, install insulation, add a heating & cooling system, provide additional bedrooms and more bathrooms. The addition to the home needed to look intentional and provide plenty of room for the entire family to be together. Low maintenance exterior finish materials were used for the siding and trims as well as natural field stones at the base to match the original cabin’s charm.
