The client was referred to us by the builder to build a vacation home where the family mobile home used to be. Together, we visited Key Largo and once there we understood that the most important thing was to incorporate nature and the sea inside the house. A meeting with the architect took place after and we made a few suggestions that it was taking into consideration as to change the fixed balcony doors by accordion doors or better known as NANA Walls, this detail would bring the ocean inside from the very first moment you walk into the house as if you were traveling in a cruise. A client's request from the very first day was to have two televisions in the main room, at first I did hesitate about it but then I understood perfectly the purpose and we were fascinated with the final results, it is really impressive!!! and he does not miss any football games, while their children can choose their favorite programs or games. An easy solution to modern times for families to share various interest and time together. Our purpose from the very first day was to design a more sophisticate style Florida Keys home with a happy vibe for the entire family to enjoy vacationing at a place that had so many good memories for our client and the future generation. For this client’s mud room I used contrasting tones of white and brown pear wood to keep the space light and open but use the richness of the brown to highlight the colors in the walls and flooring. Something as simple as using your crown molding as an accent shade can make the eye dance.

Projet d'optimisation d'une entrée. Les clients souhaitaient une entrée pour ranger toutes leur affaires, que rien ne traînent. Il fallait aussi trouver une solution pour ranger les BD sans qu'ils prennent trop de place. J'ai proposé un meuble sur mesure pour pouvoir ranger toutes les affaires d'une entrée (manteau, chaussures, vide-poche,accessoires, sac de sport....) et déporter les BD sur un couloir non exploité. J'ai proposé une ambiance cocon nature avec un vert de caractère pour mettre en valeur le parquet en point de hongrie. Un fond orac decor et des éléments de décoration aux formes organiques avec des touches laitonnées. L'objectif était d'agrandir visuellement cette pièce avec un effet wahou.

The front door replacement. The existing all wood doors had small lites (windows) letting in almost no light. We replaced the doors with these customized stock steel doors. The light floods the main level.

Une grande entrée qui n'avait pas vraiment de fonction et qui devient une entrée paysage, avec ce beau papier peint, on y déambule comme dans un musée, on peut s'y asseoir pour rêver, y ranger ses clés et son manteau, se poser, déconnecter, décompresser. Un sas de douceur et de poésie.
