The owners engaged us to conduct a full house renovation to bring this historic stone mansion back to its former glory. One of the highest priorities was updating the main floor’s more public spaces which serve as the diplomat's primary representation areas where special events are hosted. Worn wall-to-wall carpet was removed revealing original oak hardwood floors that were sanded and refinished with an Early American stain. Great attention to detail was given to the selection, customization and installation of new drapes, carpets and runners all of which had to complement the home’s existing antique furniture. The striking red runner gives new life to the grand hall and winding staircase and makes quite an impression upon entering the property. New ceilings, medallions, chandeliers and a fresh coat of paint elevate the spaces to their fullest potential. A customized bar was added to an adjoining sunroom that serves as spillover space for formal events and a more intimate setting for casual gatherings.

Hawthorn Park was designed to look after the physical and mental wellbeing of its inhabitants. Plenty of greenery, natural lighting and open spaces were considered. It boasts the only sky pool in Melbourne! With such a stunning design in place, I was ecstatic to jump into styling this beautiful entrance lobby! A luxurious, contemporary approach was taken to accommodate the prestigious vibe this residence was attracting.

A very peaceful setting in a commercial space! We had a very large blank wall to do something with so couldn't resist but add a custom rustic fireplace in the center of it...clients can come and relax while waiting and employees can enjoy the fire on a cold wintery day!!! How sweet is that! All the comforts of home!

The original entry of this home was in the far right corner of the home. The home owners had to walk through two different rooms and then around a corner to get to the upstairs of the home. The entry door was relocated into the centre of the home. The door shown in this image leads to the garage. A coffered ceiling was installed which is up lit and now provides a much more appealing layout to the home. A new spiral staircase was installed with solid wood treads that are much wider than the originals.
