Transitional Farmhouse Kitchen and First Floor Remodel

In this transitional farmhouse in West Chester, PA, we renovated the kitchen and family room, and installed new flooring and custom millwork throughout the entire first floor. This chic tuxedo kitchen has white cabinetry, white quartz counters, a black island, soft gold/honed gold pulls and a French door wall oven. The family room’s built in shelving provides extra storage. The shiplap accent wall creates a focal point around the white Carrera marble surround fireplace. The first floor features 8-in reclaimed white oak flooring (which matches the open shelving in the kitchen!) that ties the main living areas together. Rudloff Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. We also were voted Best of Design in 2016, 2017 and 2018, which only 2% of professionals receive. 玄関ドアをリフォームする

狭い玄関でも空間を工夫して収納力をアップすれば、スペースにゆとりがうまれ、余裕のある豊かな暮らしを実感することができます。レインシューズやブーツなど場所を取る履物は、間仕切りの自由度の高いシューズボックスを選択し上手に収納しましょう。長さや色、デザインが異なる傘も、傘立てにまとめて入れれば、スッキリと整理することができます。また、壁と柱の間のスペースを使って、絵画を飾る棚や照明を設置するスペースを確保すれば、玄関スペースがバッと華やかになります。

玄関の使いやすさと安全性は妥協しない

高齢化社会を迎える日本にとって、住宅のバリアフリー化は重要な課題です。玄関エリアに段差をなくし緩やかなスロープを設置すれば、車椅子でも簡単に、そして安全に出入りすることが可能になります。スロープを設けるスペースがない場合は、階段昇降機で対応することも可能です。手すりは、車椅子に乗る人用とその他の家族用の2種類を設置しましょう。玄関に車椅子用の収納スペースを確保すると、外出準備が一箇所にまとまるので便利です。
