Un graphisme original Dans ce grand appartement, les espaces multifonctionnels et lumineux avaient besoin d’être remis au goût du jour. Nos clients souhaitaient moderniser leur intérieur et mettre en valeur le mobilier existant. Particularité de la cuisine de 20m², la salle à manger se trouve en enfilade derrière l’îlot central. Nos clients ayant déjà opté pour un mur noir en fond nous l’avons accentué en créant un véritable mur de chevrons. Travaillé de manière graphique, ce mur accent apporte beaucoup de charme à ce volume et définit l’emplacement de l’espace repas. Son assise, une banquette XXL réalisée sur mesure s’étend de part en part de la pièce et accueille les nombreuses plantes vertes. Côté cuisine, un relooking a permis de conserver la majorité des meubles existants. Selon le souhait de nos clients, le mobilier en très bon état a simplement été repeint et des poignées en cuir très tendance ont été installées. Seul l’ensemble de meubles hauts a été remplacé au profit d’une composition plus légère visuellement jouant sur des placards de dimensions variées. Au salon, le meuble tv déjà présent est réveillé par une teinte douce et des étagères en chêne massif. Le joli mur bleu séparant les deux pièces est habillé d’un ensemble d’assiettes au design actuel et d’un miroir central qui joue sur la rondeur. En fond de pièce, un bureau épuré et fonctionnel prend place. Le large plan est associé à un duo d’étagères verticales décoratives qui s’élancent jusqu’au plafond pour équilibrer les volumes. Pour les couleurs, des teintes douces et élégantes comme le blanc ou le beige mettent en valeur la luminosité et la décoration. Un contraste entre ces couleurs claires et le noir apportent de la modernité et les tons orangés réchauffent l’atmosphère. Le mobilier épuré et les touches de métal se marient naturellement pour donner du caractère à cet appartement, ergonomique et convivial dans lequel les matières se mêlent les unes aux autres avec simplicité.

Our client for this project envisioned a whimsical great room design that was conducive to hosting gatherings and her ongoing book club. She also desired a comfortable, classic sofa that could accommodate her friends’ knee and back issues (making it easy to sit and move?), while also incorporating her existing furniture in the refreshed design. The careful selection of fabrics for the drapery was key to pulling the design together. The airy botanical print became the inspiration for the rest of the color scheme, starting with soft green painted walls. A woven jute rug added texture and set a casual mood. We then found the perfect sofa style to beautifully complement the space and accommodate her friends’ needs. We created a welcoming, balanced ambiance by contrasting bold geometrically patterned pillows with organic drapery. A woven bench and versatile swivel chairs with polka dot upholstery rounded out the seating for guests. We also added round iron nesting cocktail tables to provide the ideal spot for snacks during her book group meetings. A magnificent waterlily painting adorned the walls, adding to the garden-inspired ambiance. To complete the vision, we placed her colorful inlaid table in the center of the room and surrounded it with trellis-backed rattan chairs, to create a charming small dining area. Our client’s finished great room is now an oasis of tranquility and charm. She’s thrilled to have her new “happy place” – a beautiful, welcoming space to entertain her friends and family.

Envie de se lover devant un poêle, confortablement installés dans des canapés. Choix d'un poêle suspendu mis en scène par un panneau-décor qui servira de bouclier thermique et une niche à bois en acier de toute hauteur, de sorte à repousser les limites du plafond, trop bas pour cet espace. Un papier peint telle une peinture, aux lignes irrégulières mais verticales, peaufine cette installation et de part sa matière et ses couleurs naturelles, joue la carte de chaleur visuelle. Composition un grand lustre avec cinq suspensions en verre et en cuivre, pour illuminer le papier peint et servir de liseuse pour le canapé d'angle aux proportions avantageuses. Autre composition de trois tables, aux piétements asymétriques en acier et aux plateaux aux 3 coloris de marbre s'adaptera parfaitement aux divers besoins de la famille. Au sol un grand tapis Kilim usé nous fait oublier le carrelage très présent et inévitable.
