This kitchen proves small East sac bungalows can have high function and all the storage of a larger kitchen. A large peninsula overlooks the dining and living room for an open concept. A lower countertop areas gives prep surface for baking and use of small appliances. Geometric hexite tiles by fireclay are finished with pale blue grout, which complements the upper cabinets. The same hexite pattern was recreated by a local artist on the refrigerator panes. A textured striped linen fabric by Ralph Lauren was selected for the interior clerestory windows of the wall cabinets.

I wanted the view to be the focal point so I skipped traditional wall cabinets. In order to keep lots of storage space, I designed the refrigerator wall to have 24" deep cabinets to make up for the storage we would be losing without wall cabinets on the window wall. I also added storage in front of the stools for the items we use less often. We have since added a colorful backsplash too.

Our 1x2 inch recycled glass tiles in a stormy grey and blue color scheme were custom blended for this backsplash!

"A Kitchen for Architects" by Jamee Parish Architects, LLC. This project is within an old 1928 home. The kitchen was expanded and a small addition was added to provide a mudroom and powder room. It was important the the existing character in this home be complimented and mimicked in the new spaces.

This eclectic kitchen design in East Lansing incorporates the kitchen, dining, and living areas in a welcoming open plan space. The kitchen layout allows for ample storage and work space with Medallion Gold kitchen cabinets accented by brushed nickel hardware and an Olympia Botticino tumbled marble tile backsplash. The U-shaped design includes a double bowl sink with a Kohler pull out faucet, dishwasher, and two upper frosted glass front cabinets with in cabinet lighting. KitchenAid appliances feature throughout, including a bottom mount counter depth refrigerator, dishwasher, slide-in dual fuel range, trash compactor, and warming drawer. The cooking area overlooks the living space, and features a Whirlpool 36" curved glass canopy stainless hood. A large wooden dining table complements the light hardwood floors, and wood accents along with unique light fixtures and artwork bring personality to this home living space.

The design focus for this North London Victorian terrace home design project was the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the ground floor together with additional space of a new side-return. Orienting and organising the interior architecture to maximise sunlight during the course of the day was one of our primary challenges solved. While the front of the house faces south-southeast with wonderful direct morning light, the rear garden faces northwest, consequently less light for most of the day. ​

A textured striped linen fabric by Ralph Lauren was selected for the interior clerestory windows of the wall cabinets. Large plank french oak flooring ties the whole home together. A custom Nar designed walnut dining table was crafted to be perfectly sized for the dining room. Eclectic furnishings with leather, steel, brass, and linen textures bring contemporary living to this classic bungalow. A reclaimed piano string board was repurposed as a large format coffee table. Every square inch of this home was optimized with storage including the custom dresser hutch with vanity counter. This petite bath is finished with caviar painted walls, walnut cabinetry, and a retro globe light bar. We think all splashes should have a swoop! The mitered countertop ledge is the clients’ favorite feature of this bath.
