This project is the renovation of an old Craftsman style single shotgun house. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room to open up the space. To hide possible clutter in the Kitchen, we designed and fabricated a low wall between the two spaces, using pre-finished wood flooring as the wall finish on the Dining side of the wall and ceramic pool tiles as the backsplash. We designed and fabricated custom concrete countertops. To enhance the airiness of the spaces, we removed the existing suspended ceiling to expose the high ceilings. This kitchen proves small East sac bungalows can have high function and all the storage of a larger kitchen. A large peninsula overlooks the dining and living room for an open concept. A lower countertop areas gives prep surface for baking and use of small appliances. Geometric hexite tiles by fireclay are finished with pale blue grout, which complements the upper cabinets. The same hexite pattern was recreated by a local artist on the refrigerator panes. A textured striped linen fabric by Ralph Lauren was selected for the interior clerestory windows of the wall cabinets. Large plank french oak flooring ties the whole home together. A custom Nar designed walnut dining table was crafted to be perfectly sized for the dining room. Eclectic furnishings with leather, steel, brass, and linen textures bring contemporary living to this classic bungalow. A reclaimed piano string board was repurposed as a large format coffee table. Every square inch of this home was optimized with storage including the custom dresser hutch with vanity counter. This petite bath is finished with caviar painted walls, walnut cabinetry, and a retro globe light bar. We think all splashes should have a swoop! The mitered countertop ledge is the clients’ favorite feature of this bath.

The open concept took a cramped living room, dining room, & kitchen and made it one comfortable great room. Galley style counters were extended into dining area creating an endless counter for serving. A peninsula bar, with live edge granite, & adjacent moveable dining table creates room for 10 guests to share a meal.

A home can be many different things for people, this eclectic artist home is full of intrigue and color. The design is uplifting and inspires creativity in a comfortable and relaxed setting through the use of odd accessories, lounge furniture, and quirky details. You can have a coffee in the kitchen or Martini's in the living room, the home caters for both at any time. What is unique is the use of bold colors that becomes the background canvas while designer objects become the object of attention. The house lets you relax and have fun and lets your imagination go free.

The transition between old and new is evident in the hall. The soft arched opening leads to the existing Dining Room. The angular walnut cabinetry of the Kitchen leads into to the new addition.

This cozy kitchen was completed in conjuction with J.A.R Remodeling. The all natural hickory doors are the centerpiece of this kitchen, revealing the beautiful natural graining that hickory is loved for. The off white quartz countertops are a great contrast for the cabinets and also provides a clean looking prep area for cooking. Definitely a unique look that allows for the natural wood to be the star of the show! The Kichen Furniture This was the first octagonal framed kitchen by Tim Wood and all the kitchen furniture was free standing, some of which came out when the flat was later sold, to be re used. The octagonal island has a granite top and the other worktops are in iroko, with Gothic style drainers either side of the double French farmhouse sink. The plinths have recessed oak dovetailed drawers set on hidden runners. All the insides of the cupboards are finished in zebrano. The Flat This zebrano and oak Gothic style kitchen was designed for a flat in Palace Court, London that was previously owned by Rodney Fitch the designer and was converted by Tim Wood from one very large flat into two in 1988.
