We wanted to pass along our appreciation for all of the excellent work done by Case on our sunroom addition project, which was completed two weeks ahead of schedule and on budget. This was our second project with Case – they finished our basement in 2017. When we were thinking about a sunroom we thought of Case first. The entire process was excellent!

We've relied on Case, and specifically Gizem Ozkaya and Jason Burdo, for two big projects in our house, and could not have been happier with their guidance and work. When we bought our house in 2021, we knew it would need some updating, both upstairs and downstairs, to suit our needs. We started upstairs, talking with multiple renovation specialists before landing on Case, largely based on their Case Study approach to renovations. We did a full renovation and expansion of our kitchen, a full renovation and expansion of a bathroom, expanded our front porch, and rebuilt our fireplace. Gizem and her team worked with us closely at every step of the design process, using our preferences and feedback as a guide, and providing us multiple options to choose from. The end result is exactly what we wanted--a more open, modern space that is functional for a family with small kids. We were so pleased with Case's work that a few years later we reached back out to Gizem to see if Case could help with a more modest downstairs project: replacing old carpet with new flooring, replacing doors and trim, and adding built-ins (no moving walls this time around). Gizem and Jason again quickly proposed a plan, and only a few months later we had cleared out the basement for construction to start. The basement renovation, like the upstairs renovation, again elevated the space, making it feel more modern and livable. (Gizem even helped us select paint colors for extra pop.) In short, if you have any renovation needs, we could not recommend Gizem, Jason, or the Case team more. We've largely run out of square footage in house to renovate for the time being, but if that changes there's no doubt we'll be reaching back out to Case.

Another superb remodel by the Case team! The curation and attention to detail during our renovation was outstanding. Case remodeled three bedrooms and two baths into our primary of everything sanctuary suite. We now have a beautiful space consisting of a primary bedroom, primary bath, added powder room, laundry closet, and two massive walk-in closets. Our designer Allie Man was fabulous, and the entire Case team exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Michael Sass, Bruce Gettys, and Jose Munoz. The results are stunning, particularly the harmonious design-construction consistent with our mid-century home vibe. If you value high-quality work and professional communication, Case is the best in the business.

We trust Case to always show up and do quality work from start to finish. They have a knowledgeable team of experts. We have worked with them for 2 large and different home renovation projects and both times they have exceeded expectations!

Dave Vogt put together an experienced team for our extensive kitchen renovation. The project initially seemed daunting but with the depth of experience at Case it surpassed our expectations. We wanted to extend an inside kitchen wall and take out the middle section of an outer kitchen wall to install a 7-foot-wide window. Dave’s response: Case does this all the time. Dave’s team also took out the kitchen bulkheads to create lots more vertical space. The result was transformational with vastly more natural light. Dave brought in master designer Caroline Moore, who managed to pair a stunning quartzite island and countertops with walnut cabinets and marble backsplash. Fluent in all design styles and fixtures, she made it easy to quickly narrow down choices. The construction phase could have been challenging but we had project manager Brian Knott. With his extensive construction knowledge, attention to timing and detail, and professional can-do attitude, he orchestrated a deep team while taking advantage of individual talents. New cabinets were installed, new plumbing, new electrical, drywall, exterior wall brick work, quartzite countertops, backsplash, all new appliances, etc... Finished on budget six weeks ahead of schedule! Special thanks to Douglas for all his high-quality hours onsite as a Case builder and shadow manager, Eddie for some beautiful carpentry details and Marlin for his ability to use stains to mesh old hardwood floor sections with new. Kudos to Goran at fabricator Stone & Tile World for a well crafted quartzite island. It’s my favorite piece of “artwork” in the house.

We had been planning a remodel/bump out for our 50-year-old home for almost 2 years. We went to a Case design open house and decided to move forward with Case. Dave spent a great deal of time with us walking through what we envisioned, what we loved and what we didn't love about our current home. Dave asked lots of questions and presented lots of choices for how we could meet our goals for the new design. Even though we decided to cut back on a few things, I love that Dave worked with us to keep some elements so that if we decide to do more work going forward, it will be easier to pick up. For example, we were going to put an ADA bathroom on the first floor but changed it up to an office instead. But the crawl space and the new addition are set up so we can easily convert that space to a bathroom in the future. We are so thrilled with the larger, open design! We really felt that Dave listened to us and came up with a great plan to exceed our expectations. We would highly recommend Dave.

We worked with Dave and his team at Case on a 2023 kitchen & bathroom renovation and family room addition for our 70-year-old home in Silver Spring and we could not be happier with the work and the result. We interviewed several design/build firms, architects, and builders. Dave was the only one who, in an initial visit, specifically talked about how the team could create fencing during the construction to keep our dog safe and with access to the yard. That level of thoughtfulness continued throughout our experience working with Case. Dave and his team were incredibly responsive to our needs, questions, and concerns. Their answer to any question we had on if we could do something was always "yes." We've told everyone who asks that Dave /Case finished our project on time and budget, and our house is stunning. And - here's another thing I think is important: I'd heard so many horror stories about how working with folks in a male-dominated industry meant that women clients were often ignored, talked over, treated disrespectfully (i.e. wanting to only deal with the "man" of the household) and that NEVER happened with anyone at Case. I really can't say enough about how great the experience was -so I'll say this - we're already daydreaming about our next project with Dave and his team

Our project was the renovation of a 1963, 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom house in NW DC. The basic floor plan of the house was not changed, but the job included updating the kitchen, bathrooms, electrical, lighting, windows, hardwood flooring, stairwells and more. Our Case architect and design person was Dave Vogt who I cannot complement highly enough. Talented, professional and personable and immediately responsive to queries. Jorge Solano was our project manager during construction. Also talented, professional and personable and immediately responsive to queries. He successfully coordinated the tradespeople, sequenced the tasks and kept the project on schedule. The carpenter, and other tradespeople were excellent. We chose Case because of their long experience, reputation in the neighborhood, and solid guarantee of their work. It was a wise choice!

We had a positive experience from start to finish with Case Architects and Remodelers and our terrific team led by Gizem Ozkaya, Georgette Diaz and Jason Burdo. From the first meetings, we felt that Gizem and Georgette were keenly attuned to how we wanted to use the space to be renovated (kitchen, primary bath and a pool bath/laundry room). They came up with multiple design concepts and we melded our preferred options to come up with a master plan. Gizem and Georgette patiently helped us select appliances, cabinets, countertops, hardware and finishes. No detail was left out. They also created detailed construction drawings that helped us envision how our new spaces would look and function. When we moved into the construction phase, Jason took the lead and very accurately outlined the work and payment schedules. He sent regular email progress reports, and also met with us weekly at the job site to review progress and next steps. His crew lead, Ever, was a skilled craftsperson. We have been thrilled with the way the results of our renovation, and recommend these Case team members without reservation.

We recently completed a significant renovation on our nearly 100-year-old house with CASE, from adding dormers to completely transforming the kitchen, and the results completely exceeded our expectations! Working on our house was no small feat. The house sits at the very bottom of a steep hill with no turnaround and only enough space for one car to drive up at a time. The house has no straight corners. It comes with decades of random alterations and is perched on the edge of a steep drop with no retaining wall. The logistics were incredibly complex, and even with all the added difficulties and potential disruptions to our neighbors, we never received a complaint; on the contrary, they all praised the professionalism, organization, and consideration taken by every single person involved in the project over the course of the six months. Our journey with CASE began with an initial consultation with Kelly Vogan. Kelly provided a clear roadmap, outlining each step of the process and offering transparent pricing estimates. As we moved along, Kelly remained very responsive and kept us informed about permits and what was happening behind the scenes, making us feel at ease. Zahra Keihani, our designer, couldn’t have been better! She completely understood what we wanted delivering a beautiful and functional kitchen. Not only is Zahra incredibly talented, but she is the sweetest, most pleasant person to work with! Then comes the fun part, the actual work. Brian Knott was our fabulous, invaluable, absolutely fantastic Project Manager. We can’t praise him enough. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable, super professional, organized, committed, and on top of every detail... We truly feel that the success of this project was having Brian and his team assigned to it. It was a challenging project, but Brian came to our weekly meetings with a smile on his face, always with a good attitude and a solution to every situation that arose. We just can’t thank him enough! A special mention goes to Bill Shaw, our wonderfully skilled and equally dedicated Senior Craftsman. It is not an exaggeration when we say that Bill made our home. His work is unparalleled. His answer to any request was "Yes indeed, I just want you to be happy”. Bill is worth his weight in gold, actually more than his weight! As with any home renovation, unexpected situations arise and not everything goes exactly as planned, but we felt at ease because everything was promptly communicated and addressed accordingly. We had weekly walk-throughs and updates on what was done and what was scheduled for the following week; and we must admit that we actually enjoyed the whole process, all thanks to the wonderful team we had the pleasure to work with. We wholeheartedly recommend CASE for any renovation project. Their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care will make all the difference. We used Case for our DC row home addition and we cannot say enough great things about our experience from the entire team: Neil Martin, David Waguespack, Laura Burnett and Tony Goncalves. From the start of the design process, David and Laura educated us about the most optimal layouts for our kitchen extension, updated powder room, laundry room and walk-in closet. They helped us select a warmer option for the kitchen and finishes that were within our budget, and also complimented the features in the rest of our 100+ year old home. The permit process was seamless - both working through DOB and DDOT, which are notorious for being tricky to navigate. During construction, the head craftsman, Tony, and crew kept the house extremely clean and had impeccable attention to detail on the cabinets, stonework, etc. Despite hitting several issues with our neighbors, the team remained extremely professional in dealing with them and managed to update the plans for constructing the addition without any impact to adjacent properties. Our GC Neil’s, customer service and ability to navigate the project with ease was impressive, and we ended up finishing early and within our budget. Through every step of the project, the team was communicative, responsive, and offered sound advice. There’s truly no better group to work with in DC and we’re so thankful we worked with them on the remodel of our dreams!

I had used Case to remodel my kitchen and bath when I moved into my condo 30 years ago, and it held up beautifully, but water damage from the unit above mine, and general wear and tear led me to seek someone to do some fairly major repairs. I called a number of firms, including Case, and liked Case's approach the best. Their Project Manager, Adrian Adreassi, could not have been more helpful -- or patient -- as I agonized over what exactly I wanted to do -- a total renovation or extensive repairs -- and I couldn't be happier with the final result. A very small number of changes that I requested at the last minute were also handled expeditiously by Brian Knott and his team. My kitchen looks like new; the price was right and the amount of disruption that usually accompanies a project like this was kept to a minimum.

Our remodel took up a major part of our house. They were left it cleaner then when they got there . Kept me informed on what was going on everyday and every contractor was professional.

I have already recommended Case to several people! The entire project was handled with consummate professionalism and great good humor.

From start to finish, Case Design/Remodeling has been a pleasure to work with. We renovated our kitchen, four bathrooms and a laundry room and the entire team at Case was professional and highly skilled. Having heard nightmares from others about renovations that ran over budget and took much longer than anticipated, we were thrilled with the team at Case. Throughout the process they communicated about the timeline and the budget and made sure we were on track. They worked with us to make sure we were happy with the project and took wonderful care of our home. Our project was mostly complete by Thanksgiving but had a few final items to finish as we were waiting on items ordered that were delayed by supply chain issues. Both our project manager and the on site manager stopped by to make sure we were ready to host family for the holiday and to see if we needed anything. We would use Case Design/Remodeling again in a heartbeat.

I chose to work with Case because they beautifully embody both form and function. They have an eye for design and also know technical hardscaping. What impressed me was how we were provided with a timeline graph and they kept to it, sometimes even being ahead of schedule. My team, Allie Mann, David Waguespack and Justin Speer were highly professional, but also down to earth friendly. They really know their stuff. This was not an easy job, as my kitchen was built in 1927. What I loved is that mid-project, we discovered an old brick chimney and they worked it in so that we could deviate from the original plan and keep the exposed brick. It gives it so much character that we didn't have before. Allie and David suggested many details that I never would have thought of myself and helped me pick out fixtures, cabinetry, colors, etc. (truly overwhelming!) Justin constantly communicated with us, letting us know what has been completed and was was coming up. I am humbled by how many moving parts there are in a project like this and my Case team pulled it all together in an unbelievably reasonable amount of time. I now have a luxurious kitchen that is a joy to prepare meals in or mix drinks in or just spend time reading the paper or listening to music in. He heard and brought to life my vision for a bathroom that was soothing to my soul, provided safe access for me, and served the needs of my service dog! I highly recommend Susan Matus at Case Design for any home remodeling project especially when trying to make more efficient use of the space in an older house. Susan helped us do just that with so many smart ideas. First, she designed a completely new, modern master bathroom and a large walk-in closet in an under utilized area of the bedroom. Our original bathroom and closet were both tiny so we are very thankful for her design skills and vision in this space. Picking out the tiles, cabinets, and fixtures was not easy for me but Susan narrowed down the options for us and made it less time consuming and less stressful. She also conquered a challenging basement remodel where we wanted to remove textured walls and ceilings and add recessed lights to make the space more usable. She came up with innovative techniques to make this happen and added closets and an office and now our basement is a much used extension of our house and not a storage area. Susan and her team were all great to work with and we are still so happy with all the updates years later! Highly recommend!

I bought my place around the beginning of the pandemic, with high hopes to renovate it, and reached out to a few interior design businesses. Some were not taking projects and others didn't even reply. Case was the only one who did, specifically John Audet, who I commend for his work ethic and customer service skills. He understood what I wanted, walked me through the challenges of some things I had considered, and helped me design the perfect kitchen for my space. He had the best disposition to help, so I always felt very comfortable asking questions and trusting that any issue was promptly addressed. Then there was Marlon, the guy who did all the work, and whose work ethic was also outstanding. He knew what he was doing, was super respectful, and never left without cleaning. So I'm very thankful to Case for taking my project at a challenging time and seeing it through with the best attitude and attention to safety. I don't have the exact angles for before and after pictures, but here's an idea.

We greatly enjoyed working with John Audet and the Case Design team on our home renovation. John was supportive, flexible, and patient throughout the planning process. He allowed us to proceed at our own pace during the planning and design phase. He listened to our concerns and preferences and factored them in to the design, without pushing us to accept anything we didn't want. Rene Tejada, the lead craftsman, brought skill and attention to detail to his work, as if it were his own home. Overall, we are thrilled with our home renovation and we are extremely happy that we selected Case Design.

Kelly Vogan was the project manager for our Capitol Hill home update. From securing the permits through the Historical Society to finding all of the correct material everything was accomplished without a hitch. The various sub contractors and miscellaneous specialists arrived on time and the work was performed in an excellent manner. I would recommend Kelly and Case without exception..

Anyone looking to do a home renovation should look no further! Case is exceptional! They recently completed a major kitchen remodel for us and we could not be happier with the new heart of our home. We had a lot of boxes we wanted checked off on a project that was not just a straightforward facelift and Case fully delivered. we remodeled three bathrooms and two powder rooms. we love all of them. each one turned out just what we hoped for, thanks to Case professionals. They helped us to achieve our visions for each bathroom. they executed a very good work from design to completion job and within the scheduled timeframe!

Our experience with CASE was a very positive one from the beginning of the renovation to the end. The company was very sensitive to our concerns and budget. We hired Case for a complete kitchen and laundry room overhaul and couldn't be happier. From start to finish our team was helpful, skilled and supportive. Richard Rocco and designer Hope Hassell (VERY patient as I waffled on some finishes) envisioned solutions for our space that we hadn't imagined, and our expert and supportive project manager Tom Craze and master carpenter Shawn Higgins brought the project in...ahead of schedule! Case is definitely our go to for any future projects.

We were so pleased with the job that Dave Vogt, Kwasi Hemeng, Neil Martin, and Pat Fagan did on our home addition. Over only four months, the CASE team built an absolutely gorgeous, windowed family room and powder room first-floor addition with a spacious, light-filled basement bedroom underneath. Although not the least expensive option out there, we were glad we chose CASE for the quality of the design and construction, as well as the customer service experience we received. Throughout the duration of our project we received thoughtful, timely written and in-person updates. As issues arose (and, really, only minor issues came up), they were dealt with quickly, professionally, and within budget. We felt comfortable with all team members that were onsite, and were able to live through a major renovation with relatively minimal disruption to our everyday lives. The project wrapped up ahead of time, on budget, and better than we expected - what else can we ask for? We highly recommend CASE and would certainly go back to them for any future projects that come up.

The one thing that I always say about Case and our house remodel is "everything looks better than I thought it would." We worked with Gizem, Elena, Bruce, and Jason. It was a huge project - very old house that hadn't been well-maintained. We moved the kitchen, moved around several walls and doorways, and created a master suite upstairs. We also created a mudroom in the basement and put a garage door on. Case is expensive, for sure, but you get what you pay for. Everything just looks incredible. The team was responsive, quickly dealt with my issues, and almost finished on time. Honestly, there are a couple of nitpicky things I could say that bothered me at the time but now that the project is over and done with and my house looks like it does I really don't care. The big things that mattered were done well. They were on budget (I ended up paying $2k more for allowances at the end), pretty much on time (our shower door was custom and ended up taking a month and a half longer than expected), the quality is SO GOOD, the subcontractors were all good and respectful, our main carpenter was so smart and great at his job, our designers honestly KILLED it - I have very specific tastes that I'd define as "not basic but not kind of basic" and Gizem and Elena were able to nail it. I never want to do another renovation again, but if I did, I'd definitely call Case.

Case Design remodeled our deck and kitchen. Deck: Although we kept the same footprint, Case reinforced the structure and replaced pressure treated wood with Azek decking and aluminum rails. The final product totally transformed the look and quality of our deck and totally met our expectations. Kitchen: Case did a complete remodel of our kitchen, starting with gutting the entire existing kitchen. They met their estimated date of completion exactly as planned. Their process, from the initial consultation to the final walkthrough was amazing. The Case team assigned to our project was a group who were professional, highly skilled, easy to communicate with, unbelievably responsive and attentive to every detail. They were available to us through every step of the process and offered their expertise on every aspect including design, materials selection, appliance selection, addressing any issues, conducting periodic reviews, managing contractors, etc. Our new kitchen is gorgeous! Family and friends are amazed at the total transformation of the existing space. We are so happy with the final result and wholeheartedly recommend Case Design for any remodeling project.

April and Allie were awesome designers to work with - super thoughtful, plenty of enthusiasm and a great set of eyes on every detail of the renovation. It was helpful to have a Houzz album saved that gave them our initial vision and they were able to run with that in their designs of our kitchen and powder bath remodel

Specifically, Project developer, David Waguespack, his designer, Carolyn Elleman, project manager, Stefan Eising, and carpenter, Francisco were all wonderful to work with. Each member of the team went out of their way to discuss with us the pros and cons of the many options available, such as how big to make the windows, what kind of kitchen island to install, and how to arrange the appliances. If there was a question or concern about any aspect of the project, we would email Tom and he would get back to us within an hour or two. Weekly meetings were held with Tom and Irvin to review progress and to plan with us what was happening next. The work was carefully and methodically planned and carried out to our specifications and within the time frame. We were delighted with our beautiful new kitchen. What more could anyone want?

We recently completed a master bath project, our second project using Case. We had such a great experience with our first project (a kitchen/laundry/bathroom renovation), that we requested the same construction team this time. Case Design/Remodeling is a professional team that does great work with no ugly surprises. I’ve used them multiple times with complete satisfaction. My first project with Case, several years ago, was changing a boring room into a gorgeous library with custom cabinetry. My most recent project was a four piece, but tiny, bathroom. (A tiny bathroom in a 1950s, plaster-filled home can be quite a challenge!) In both instances the rooms turned out better, more beautiful, and more functional than I could have imagined. My last superstar team was Tom Craze and Shawn Higgins. From beginning to end they, and the rest of the Case team, listened to my ideas and guided me. They clearly communicated options, impacts, cost, and scheduling. While they were working on my home they took care with the project and also protected the parts of my home that weren’t under renovation. They made me feel very comfortable each step of the process. You couldn’t ask for a more professional, competent, and personable team. I highly recommend Case for your design and remodeling projects.

We spent a few years thinking about renovating two full baths and a powder room in our 100-year old house but did nothing until we finally decided that Case Design was the company we wanted to work with and initiated the project in early 2019. Two things became apparent as we progressed through the detailed design stage and then on to construction. One was the professionalism and competence of the Case people involved and the other was the pleasantness of working with them in their offices and in our home. Mike O’Hearn and Melissa Binderman, the Project Developer and Designer, were knowledgeable and experienced in presenting ideas, reacting to our desires, and executing a final plan. Their patience as we sometimes changed our minds about decisions that had been previously made was appreciated, as was their willingness to keep modifying what we wanted based on seeing results in our house rather than in a showroom. Loren Sanders, the Project Manager has been attentive and thorough in keeping us posted on the construction process and schedule. The star of the show, however, is Bill Shaw, who has done most of the construction work. Not only is what he does of the highest professional quality, he has been in our house steadily for two months and instead of an imposition, it has been a pleasurable experience. He explains everything he is doing and gives us the opportunity to customize items like where towel racks go and what height the shower should be. One of the prime benefits for us of this project turned out to be not the new, modern appliances updating our old baths, but the underneath replacement of floors, ceilings, walls, water pipes, insulation, and electric wiring. We’ve essentially rebuilt a major portion of our house. In doing major construction alteration, Case took great care in eliminating dust using suction machines and in protecting the parts of the house outside the renovation area. We bought a room air scrubber for our bedroom as a precaution. It indicates when the air is bad, and it has almost never found anything other than clean air. We highly recommend Case for home renovation projects.

My new kitchen is beautiful. And I’m not the only one who thinks so. My friends and other people in my condo building agree. This was my first remodeling experience, and the members of my CASE team (Dave, Carolyn, Stefan, Drew, and Selvin) were patient with my endless questions and felt like friends by the end of the project. The designers were respectful of my taste and desires while at the same time never hesitating to explain why one of my ideas wasn’t going to work and what might work better. The end result is a space that works AND feels like me. I was very impressed by how meticulous everyone on the CASE team was—designers, painters, electricians…everyone. The maintenance staff in my 1929 Art Deco building was equally impressed by how the team handled the aging building’s eccentric plumbing and electrical work. My next renovation project is the bathroom. There’s no question who I’ll hire and trust to take it on.

CASE was an excellent partner for our 1st floor/kitchen re-modeling project from the beginning. We might be the rare project that got ahead of schedule and finished early, but I also attribute that to the CASE teams wok ethics and planning stages that identified and solved problems well before work started. Case Design/Remodeling exceeded our expectations with the second-floor addition and remodeling of existing living space. It has been two years since the completion of the project and we are still thrilled with the work that Case did for us. From the first meeting with Dave Vogt, who designed our addition, to the final walk-through, we were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, quality, care, and responsiveness of every member of the team. Dave Vogt was recommended by a neighbor who had a significant addition added a few years prior. We appreciated Dave's time and insight at the first meeting when we still were not sure what path we wanted to take. He came up with four beautiful designs that were responsive to our requests and made the most of the space that we had to work with. Elizabeth Shepard, an integral part of the design team, helped guide us through the details of picking everything from cabinets to fans to light fixtures to ensure a cohesive flow (we have no design interest/experience so needed a lot of suggestions). We were not sure what to expect when the project shifted to the build phase, but we could not have been in better hands with our project manager, Keven Morrissey, and lead carpenter, Neil Martin (now a project manager--a well-deserved promotion). No question was too big or small, and the entire build team was communicative and responsive to our needs as a family with two young children. While a major renovation is disruptive, we felt completely at ease with each member of team. Dave was in touch throughout the entire build process, which we appreciated. The project ended weeks ahead of schedule and we were thrilled with the final result. In the world of remodeling, you get what you pay for, and we are so glad that we chose Case. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to work with Dave and Case and have recommended them to many friends.

Anyone who has had extensive work done in their home knows how stressful it can be. Choosing a designer/architect and contractor is difficult to begin with. Once that is done, getting the design that feels right is never easy. Sometimes you know what you want out of your new or redesigned space but you don’t know exactly how to accomplish it. Then there’s a lot of decisions to make regarding materials and colors. And of course living in the space when it’s completely torn apart adds enormously to the stress. Not to mention the pressure you feel because of all the money being spent. When it came time to gut our kitchen and redo some of our master bath, choosing CASE was easy. Using a company that designs and builds takes away a lot of uncertainties. The CASE team members talk with each other up front so they can reduce the number of surprises. The showroom on 14th Street in DC is close to us which made it convenient for bringing samples home and seeing them in the actual space. David and Carolyn were a great team and patient with us as we tried to envision their ideas and blend them with our own. Construction is always messy. Everyone from Case was courteous and went out of their way to make things go as quickly and easily as possible. They have done this so many times they are well aware how disruptive the process can be and what they can do to help make it easier. We wouldn’t hesitate to use CASE again!

We had a great experience with our team at Case. We are in love with our new bathrooms and updated fireplace facade. Our initial vision was not only realized but exceeded our expectations due to many suggestions by these professionals. Lead designer Samantha Klickna (such a great listener who really “got me”), Project Manager Tom Craze (so involved and responsive), Lead Craftsman Shawn Higgins (so meticulous and creative when needed), and Designer Scott North (so good with practical design solutions), not only are experts in their fields, but really nice, decent people. Samantha even remained connected throughout our project despite having a baby half way through!!! Each of them listened to us and we always felt we were all part of a team on this project. Comfortable and regular communication added to our overall satisfaction. The projected costs and completion date were achieved. Any minor bumps along the way were handled fairly and professionally. Our trust in this team was well placed!

Our experience was outstanding from the beginning design phase to the final walkthrough. Our team of Victor, Elena, Bruce, and Bill, made sure that we were informed at every step during the project and that we were satisfied with each stage of the work. Victor handled the project development from the start and took care to check in with us frequently during the renovation. Elena put together a great design for us and helped us with small changes and orders later on. Bruce, our project manager, ran a highly organized team of Case employees and subcontractors. He provided us with a very detailed schedule, met with us weekly, and emailed informative updates. Bill, our lead carpenter, was very responsive to all our requests and made sure that the job site was as clean as possible at the end of each day. All the crews were careful and respectful of our home. Everyone responded quickly to any questions and concerns. Almost all the work on the schedule was completed early and the overall job finished on time and on budget. We highly recommend CASE and this team to anyone considering a renovation project. Our company has worked with Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. for several years. The project managers down to skilled craftsmen are very knowledgeable. Their communication skills, oversight and dedication to customer satisfaction makes Case a pleasure to work with. We could not recommend them more.

I contracted with Case Design and Build after reviewing proposals from four design/build firms in the Falls Church area. I contracted for two projects – conversion of an appx 8’ X 10’ attached shed into a second full bathroom and the enclosure of a 12’ X 12’ portion of an existing deck with a kneewall, screening, gable-and-hip roof (attached to an existing flat roof) and two exterior screen doors. I asked Case for a proposal in February of 2018 and advised them of their selection for the job in early May. From May through late November I had numerous meetings and conversations with Michael Sass regarding my design ideas and specifications for the designs, including preliminary and followup site inspections by Case for photos and measurements, and visits to the Case Design studio to review materials, fixtures and accessories for the projects. I got good ideas and advice from Case’s interior design specialist, Gizem Ozkaya. The design and cost negotiations process took longer than I had expected, but a lot of that was my cost control efforts, which resulted in redesigns, and there were delays due to personal events, travel, weather, etc... I found Case to be extremely flexible and very accommodating during this process. I was very focused on keeping my costs down, and Case responded with evaluative feedback and ways to support my decisions. I purchased most of the fixtures and accessories directly myself to save costs, and I subcontracted directly for the trenching and footers for the sewer line and porch foundations, and for the siding and roofing of the deck. Case was supportive of these cost-saving measures and helped me by recommending contractors I could work with, including when my one of my initial selections fell through. In order to meet my budget limits, Case reworked designs and materials but did not accept anything that would undermine the quality of the structures of the projects. I was very pleased with the project manager, Justin Speer, who responded or followed up on my communications and made frequent site visits to check on progress. He also did some of the followup work for the punch list himself rather than wait for crew to be able to get to the work. The Case crew was great – I will single out Juan, whose tiling work in the bathroom was precise down to matching every little piece of tile pattern he installed. The framing and finishing carpentry done by Jay in the bathroom was careful, solid and precise. On the deck, David did most of the framing, finishing and screening (including crawling under the deck on his back to screen the underside of the floor!) Lance and Jaime did a lot of work on the exterior also. In the end, and within my budget, I have a new master bath that incorporated every fixture I planned for and a screened deck that I will enjoy for the life of this house. It is so solid that it will last out a hurricane, and adds a wonderful space to my home. Overall, Case gets an A from me.

We worked with Case to essentially redo the entire first floor of our DC rowhouse. We opened up the wall between the dining room and kitchen, installed a new door to our side yard, replaced all the windows, floors and lights and made a number of other improvements. The finished project is extremely well-crafted and exactly what we had in mind. More important, they were extremely easy and professional to work with. We have done a number of remodeling projects over the years and there was always some problem or some reason we couldn't get exactly what we wanted. But the folks at Case were on time, on schedule and anytime we hit an obstacle were quick to offer a number of excellent solutions that exactly met our needs. We would recommend them to anyone.

CASE Design and Dave Vogt were an amazing team. Our family has a 'vintage' 1920 craftsman house in a historic district of Washington DC. We were looking to make a large family room/kitchen and 2nd floor extension to our home, add a couple of bedrooms, a full bath, move a 1/2 bath and get an all new kitchen (ours was original!) and family room. Our lot was small, required a variance for the design we wanted (approved!) and we had several other constraints, but we ended up with a great design that suits our family really well - and it's a great blend of our historic house and modern style living. The starting process was nice - Dave did three initial floorplan sketches to start us off, and then we went with our favorite and modified it to perfectly suit our needs - lots of little adjustments here and there as things evolved, and Dave was great with it all. I was worried about the revision phase, but the requests were never 'too much'. We were able to talk through what made sense so that when construction started, we were really happy with everything. To boot - I had a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old (and my own job), my husband was traveling constantly AND we lived in our home through the entire renovation. What would generally be a recipe for disaster was dealt with with aplomb by CASE's crew. Weekly on-site meetings with Kevin (project manager) kept us on track, and we finished on time and on budget. The on-site head carpenter (Greg) was like one of the family. But best of all, the quality of the work is really amazing, and continues to be to this day - 6 years later. I couldn't be happier. Don't get me wrong - I was glad when the job was done!, but they were a fantastic group to work with. Great people and great work all around.

We had a complete kitchen and laundry room renovation with Case, and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our experience with Case from our first meeting to the last day when the final punch sheet items were completed was 5 stars. The project took about 9 months. 3 months to settle on on the plans and 6 months to get the work done. We had a an addition put on the back of our 1950's ranch home. Dave Vogt and Zahra Keihani were our architects, and the final design they came up with was EXACTLY what we wanted. Now that we've been living in the space for about 1 month or so, there isn't anything I would change. They absolutely nailed it. Roger Villalobos was the lead carpenter and his craftsmanship was impeccable. From our new kitchen, to the living room, the stairs and the added deck, his completed work was so professionally done and you can tell he puts so much pride into his work. We can not be more pleased with his quality of work. Neil Martin was our project manager and he did a great job managing the project. He kept the project on schedule, managed our expectations and constantly kept us updated on the status of what had been completed and what was coming up next in the project.

From my first interaction with Michael Sass, Director of Project Development, I was impressed with the level of detail Case provides in planning, design, and installation. Having suffered through some pretty stressful home remodeling projects in the past, I felt instant reassurance that this experience would be different. Michael listened to my concerns and worked hard to keep my dream kitchen within my budget. Designer Elena Eskandari pulled together the entire look for me, which was much appreciated since I have no expertise in that area. (All I was confident about was the color and style of cabinetry I wanted.) Elena suggested tile, counters, lighting, paint, and hardware to create a stunning final design, and was patient with me through several blueprint iterations. Program Manager Bruce Gettys prepared an incredibly detailed project plan, precisely outlining what I could expect to happen each day of demo and installation. No detail was overlooked; nothing was left to chance; everything occurred as planned; and there were no surprises. Case Design was our pick out of three companies we interviewed. This has been a major project for us and, we are happy that we chose Case Design to execute it. Many people are all too willing to share their construction horror stories. It's (almost) enough to make you decide to live with tired and dated bathrooms. Well this is a different story. It's a love story that involves a master bath in need of a full gut reno, two other bathrooms in need of updates, and a fabulous company, Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. We loved our experience working with Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Our story started at a kitchen and bath remodeling seminar at their offices in Bethesda. Designers Adrian Andreassi and Samantha Klickna opened our eyes to the possibilities. When they talked about the Case process and the 5 year warranty, we really got interested. We value a company that stands behind its work. Adrian and Samantha came to our home, got ideas about what we liked and what we didn't. When we met again at the Case showroom, they offered suggestions, gave us choices of materials and products, and really listened to what we had to say. They took our ideas and made them better...much, much better! Before construction we had a meeting with the design team, the project manager and a few key team members to ensure that everyone was on the same page. All surfaces were protected before work even began. The craftsmen were outstanding: skilled, polite and professional. And oh, were they tidy! They minimized dust, vacuumed up after themselves and cleaned up at every stage. They made everything seem not just doable, but almost effortless. Standouts included Project Manager, Stefan Eising, who deftly managed all of the craftsmen to maximize efficiency and responded quickly to every concern, Drew Davis, a skilled head carpenter and all-around miracle worker, whose calm manner and no-problem attitude made anything seem possible, Selvin, a truly gifted master of finish work who made everything he touched look better than new, and Samuel, a whiz with tile who offered suggestions and precision. It might seem strange to write a thank you note to the crew that worked on your house, but we were moved to do just that. I wrote: "We want to thank everyone who worked on our house. This was a wonderful experience with a great outcome! I am a worrier by nature, but at every opportunity my worries were allayed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to teach us more about our house and explain how things work. We are delighted with all the changes!" We love everything that was done. Using our master bath feels like visiting a luxury hotel. The changes to the other baths have given them a fresh new start. We couldn't be happier with Case and recommend them without reservation or hesitation.

We hired Allie Mann and Case to remodel our two bathrooms and they did a fabulous job!! Allie is an excellent designer who not only knows design but also is extremely knowledgeable about the products used in a bathroom remodel. Gustav did excellent work and cleaned up the site every day keeping noise and mess to a real minimum. My husband was very concerned about the shower head and Allie chose exactly the right one. We are very very happy!

Susan, Melissa and Kevin worked very well to design and complete the renovation of our master bathroom. They were detail oriented, listened to what we wanted and designed a beautiful bathroom. It was a pleasure to work with them and we highly recommend them to others.

I hired Case Design/Remodeling to renovate our master bathroom and help me refresh the kitchen with new paint on cabinet door and drawer fronts and assist me with appliance selection and cabinet revision. In the design phase, Neil and Hope were fantastic at helping us come up with innovative approaches to the spaces that let both bathrooms be far more functional and attractive than they were before. While providing us with a range of options, they also were honest about where they saw real value versus what would be quite pricey and not deliver that much benefit -- I appreciated the honest thought-partnership. While any remodeling project is disruptive, Loren and the team of highly skilled craftsmen do everything they can to minimize the inconvenience -- one example of this is that the indoor storage space they used was cleaner at the end of the project than it was before the project started. And Loren is incredibly responsive to questions/concerns as they came up. I also really appreciate how they handle the inevitable hick-ups in any project -- taking full ownership of the situation, and looking to correct it in the best possible way. And their quality is evident in the end-product. Both bathrooms look fantastic and all the details have been handled the right way so it will last (our first set of bathrooms were done 5+ years ago, and looks as good today as they did right after being finished. No doubt Case is a premium product, but I know we have gotten tremendous value from working with them.

Case did a thorough and beautiful renovation of my entire home. A 2 floor addition and 3rd floor were added. Kwasi Hemeng did a great job bringing all my wishes to life. The team (TJ, MJ, Hope, Kevin M, & Kevin D.) was professional throughout the entire process. I am very pleased with my renovation project.

This is the second time we have used Case Design, and their work product is as good as ever--excellent. Quality of workmanship is top notch. there were some very technically difficult aspects of the job, which they identified and dealt with expertly. They provided a realistic budget and timeline, and were able to complete the job a bit early. Our project manager did a wonderful job of keeping us informed of what was happening, and was able to explain things clearly. Questions and concerns were dealt with promptly. Follow-up after the project was completed has been excellent - they did not forget us!

CASE Design and Dave Vogt were an amazing team. Our family has a 'vintage' 1920 craftsman house in a historic district of Washington DC. We were looking to make a large family room/kitchen and 2nd floor extension to our home, add a couple of bedrooms, a full bath, move a 1/2 bath and get an all new kitchen (ours was original!) and family room. Our lot was small, required a variance for the design we wanted (approved!) and we had several other constraints, but we ended up with a great design that suits our family really well - and it's a great blend of our historic house and modern style living. To boot - I had a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old (and my own job), my husband was traveling constantly AND we lived in our home through the entire renovation. What would generally be a recipe for disaster was dealt with with aplomb by CASE's crew. Weekly on-site meetings with Kevin (project manager) kept us on track, and we finished on time and on budget. The on-site head carpenter (Greg) was like one of the family. But best of all, the quality of the work is really amazing, and continues to be to this day - 6 years later. I couldn't be happier. Don't get me wrong - I was glad when the job was done!, but they were a fantastic group to work with. Great people and great work all around.

As a Design and Build company, Case is tops in the field. We have hired Case for several small and two major home projects, most recently the total renovation of our 20 year old kitchen. From start to finish of the renovation the entire Case team showed a level of expertise and professionalism we have come to expect from them. April and Alex, our design team, came with fresh ideas while carefully listening to our thoughts and wishes. Both were available and always willing to meet with us as the project progressed. Throughout the entire process, Justin as Project Manager made sure our questions were answered and any concern addressed. He provided oversight and continually kept us informed on the progress of the work. Mary worked with us when we downsized to a condo and helped create the home of our dreams. She listened to our ideas and then translated them in a creative and modern way. We gutted our kitchen; renovated our master and guest bathrooms; updated lighting; and installed black and white marble in the front hall. Mary loaned us a microwave and hot plate and delivered a box of disposable plates, cups, cutlery, etc which were invaluable when we didn't have use of our kitchen. We appreciated her professionalism and prompt response to our emails/inquiries. Once work began, Mary was on top of every development and worked closely with everyone working with the project. I had a wonderful experience working with the CASE team from beginning to end. Adrian Andreassi, Tom Craze, Carolyn Elleman and Jose Figueroa did a truly superb job for us with our latest home improvement: our kitchen. We are absolutely delighted with the result, which is stunningly beautiful and practical. This is now our third project with Case Design and the second time we work with Adrian for whom we provide personalized feedback on his own Houzz page; Carolyn was great at listening to us and adjusting to our tastes, coming up with a design that we love and in which we feel so comfortable. Tom is an excellent project manager, entirely devoted to his projects, attentive and thorough, always available. Jose is an exceptional craftsman, his attention to detail is unequaled as demonstrated by our backsplash and the accent tiles, among other distinctive features of our new kitchen.

Project hasn't started yet but I have had very good help with choices. I am redoing a very old bathroom. My project designer was helpful when we had to make a change that my building required. We will be starting soon and I am very excited.

My wife and I have dealt with Case for more than 20 years, on a variety of projects large (rebuilding a porch, designing and installing a new kitchen) and small (minor repairs on annoying issues). We have never been less than satisfied with the attention to detail or the overall results. Adrian Andriessi has been our contact with Case for all those years; he is an ultimate professional, receptive, understanding, and perfectly willing to turn down an expensive project when a less expensive option was available. Case is not inexpensive, but we feel that the extra money we have paid has been well worth it in the quality of the work, and we have recommended Case to others.

The Case team - especially Adrian and Colleen - did a fabulous job on our kitchen and powder room! Adrian excelled at figuring out how best to use the space and came up with practical and innovative solutions. He was always willing to go above and beyond in resolving design challenges and in overseeing all of the details that go into a project of this kind. Colleen helped me with picking out the cabinets, tiles, flooring, plumbing fixtures and even paint colors and I couldn't be more pleased with the aesthetics of my new space. She had great suggestions for how to organize my kitchen stuff and also a strong attention to detail. The day-to-day project manager, Tom, was also easy to work with and was always available to address any issues that arose. The craftsmen were highly professional and kept the area safe and clean and on schedule.

We are very happy with the work we did with Case. Samantha, Melissa, Kevin, Twain, Rich, and Gary were all fantastic to work with. Samantha was clear on explaining the process from the outset and walked us through multiple iterations of options, Melissa paid attention to our feedback. When we transitioned to the guts of the projects with Kevin and his team things continued just as smoothly. We were living in the house while the work (kitchen, master bath, hall bath, basement) was being done and I can't say enough good things about the crew's ability to keep the place clean and livable for us and our family while they worked. Twain, the main craftsman on the job, was fantastic - always on time, always polite, always patient with our questions and creative with solutions all the little problems that came up along the way. The weekly meetings with Kevin were great to know where we were in the schedule, deal with modifications, and prepare for what was next. The project was delivered on time, in budget, and exceeded our expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at the unexpected small details that the team had anticipated and taken care of to make the areas of the house that had been touched blend in with the style and feel of the existing house, some of which I continued to find for weeks after the work was done. We've been in the finished space for a year now, and through the combination of Samantha and Melissa's vision and the team's craftsmanship, we feel like we're able to use it every day exactly the way we told them we wanted to. We've also been pleased at the willingness of the team to return to close out items that have needed attention over time as things settle, and our ability to use the "case hours" for follow on work. I don't want to live through a remodel again, but if I had to I'd certainly go back with Case, and have told friends and colleagues looking to do similar work the same. My only point of constructive feedback is on the painting subcontractor. It was a nontrivial portion of the total cost, and compared to some of the other work felt rushed and required the most "tags" on the punchlist. I think we were just unlikely with the specific crew that we had, but it was an outlier compared to the other work done by Case and their other subs.

I used the CASE in Falls Church, VA for a large remodeling job. We put in 2.5 bathrooms, enlarged the masterbedroom, new staircase, wine cellar and screened porch plus patio. We are thrilled with the work they performed. CASE does not begin the work unless they have all the materials in the warehouse. This is a brilliant idea in that there is less disruption in your house. The workmen were respectful and always cleaned up before they left for the day. The project managers, Rich Getties and Jim Wrenn were easy to work with and always had our best interests. i will use them again.

Having Case remodel our kitchen was a very positive experience, and we are extremely pleased with the beautiful outcome of the project. To begin with, the Case designer and the director of project development worked together to create a design that was imaginative and that also met all of our practical needs for the kitchen and adjacent area. When the work began, we were very pleased by the “customer skills” of the lead carpenter and the project manager; all of our concerns about how the living areas would be shielded were met cheerfully and efficiently. The skill of the lead carpenter was amazing; every piece was installed precisely and expertly. The final result is a beautiful kitchen, in which we can really enjoy the workmanship that Case brought to the project.

John Audet was the project design manager for my bathroom renovation. From the first call that I made to Case Design to the end of the project, the Case team was thoroughly professional and responsive to all my needs. Care was taken to protect my home throughout the project. Staff were courteous and personable; so that the time they spent on my project was pleasant as well as productive. I could not be happier with the design process, the construction phase, or the end result. Andrew Davis was particularly impressive with his fine workmanship and knowledge of his craft. On leaving for the day he even remembered to open the bedroom door so the cat could get out. The finished bathroom is truly one of a kind, tailored to my needs and I am very grateful to the Case team for all their time and effort that made it happen.

The renovation of my kitchen area, which affected much of my first floor, went as smoothly as I could have hoped, and with less mess. I worked with Case's Adrian Andreassi, who was always quick to respond and work with me throughout, from conception to completion, including through my several reconsiderations of the floor plan. I couldn't be happier with the final product.

Everything we did with Case, from our initial consultation through our final walk-through met or exceeded my expectations. The most important thing in my opinion was that everything they said they were going to do, they did, with no exceptions. Second, if they came in and saw that something didn't look perfect, they fixed it, no questions asked, no change orders. Third, my wife and I never felt like we were being pressured, cutting corners, or that we didn't know what to expect in the timeline next. Case was on budget (our contract was fixed price), and most important they were on schedule (actually earlier than expected). The crews we had in our house were courteous and professional, and they stayed with us for the duration of the project so we really got to know them. A great example of their care was that when our countertops were delivered, my wife and I were not home. There was a small piece of quartz that went where the faucet would be that tour lead carpenter thought didn't look just right. He took the initiative to have the piece replaced so that it would look perfect. He didn't just have them install it and wait for us to complain. I would recommend Case with no reservations. this is the second time i worked with Dave Vogt and the team at Case. the first was a two-story addition - 2 bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms and family room. It also involved extensive reworking of the original floor plan. the project went smoothly and the detail work was extremely good, the team is professional, and helped refine details as we went. I did not hesitate to contact Dave to help redo the master bath and closets- and do additional work to enlarge windows on first floor to get a better view of the garden.

We met with the Case design team in Spring 2015 and described our views for a perfect kitchen. The Case team listened to us and produced three different scenarios for our consideration. Susan Matus My husband and I have worked with Susan since we purchased our 1950's split colonial ranch in 2006. We renovated out interior over several years. Projects includes bathroom, kitten, family room, "man cave", conversion of large mud room into an office/4th bathroom. We refer to our home as the house Susan Built. CASE Design and John Audet as Design Project Manager helped my husband and me renovate our kitchen. John called in their design specialist to help us select a new counter top, new floor, and new appliances. The Implementation Manager was responsive to our schedule and used excellent vendors to supply the selected materials. John was excellent at resolving a structural issue that didn't arise until the implementation began. This was our second experience with CASE. We had used the firm several years earlier in renovating a master bathroom. We were sufficiently impressed with the firm to use them again for this recent kitchen project. We will use the again, and ask for John, should we need another project.

We chose to work with Case to remodel our kitchen because of their reputation and finished products on their projects. They were amazing to work with. They made the whole process seamless, painless and not overwhelming at all. From picking out trim on the counter tops, to the backsplash, they helped us along the way. The design team was patient and understanding with us as we traversed the process. The contractors themselves were amazing. Friendly, professional. We chatted with them each morning when they arrived each morning and felt comfortable having them in our home. At the end of each day the kitchen was spotless and livable (with the exception of the construction of course). The quality of products and the quality of service that Case provided was exceptional. We are so pleased with the work done from start to finish and absolutely will bring them back for future projects!

About this time last year, we began to consider the need for an update of our downstairs bathroom. We saw the advert for a Case Seminar and, despite the weather, we made our way there. The presentation by Colleen and TJ opened our eyes to the possibilities so we signed up for one of the earliest slots for a visit from them. Colleen and TJ came to our home walked us through the possibilities and limitations given our space. We used the excellent online planner and played around with the types of fixtures, tiles and paint colors. When we next saw the team they had samples for us to look at, saving all the time and effort that we would have put into researching on our own. The date for beginning work was set and everything went as planned. We had the most wonderful person doing the work – Douglas – who came to feel like one of the family. He worked steadily and adeptly giving us a bathroom that we love and are very proud of. Even the stressful aspects of the demolition and gradual rebuilding were made easier by the care and attention of Douglas and the entire team. The work was done in the estimated time and, behold: our beautiful bathroom. All of the team came by the look at the work with which they were very pleased. We can only say that we are extremely happy that we chose Case to design and to build our new bathroom. Their help and attention made the process a real pleasure.

I approached Case about a renovation of my hopelessly dated, leaking and broken kitchen after attending one of their seminars at the Sangamore location in February 2016. In the end, the project expanded to include a renovation of my master bathroom and the addition of an upstairs laundry alcove. I’d had never undertaken the renovation of any portion of my house, so I needed a good bit of guidance from start to finish. I could not be more pleased with the results. Designers Colleen Shaut and T.J. Monahan shepherded me through every phase of decision-making. They listened to my wishes and concerns carefully, presented options that fit my taste and budget and stuck with me through the painstaking and mind-numbing barrage of decisions on drawer-pulls, faucet heads and a myriad things I’ve never considered. While Colleen and T.J. expanded my thinking on what we could achieve, they never pushed me into decisions that were beyond my means or weren’t my own. My Case project manager, Tom Craze, carefully explained how the work would be organized, from demolition on, and made sure each phase was executed well. I was out of the country for three weeks of the project, and Tom went out of his way to keep me apprised of the progress and solicit my input when unanticipated questions arose. Finally, Oscar Menjivar, the lead carpenter, was exceptional. He was prompt, diligent and courteous and left my home each afternoon in better shape that it was that morning. His standards were exacting—in installing the cabinets, the crown moulding, a complicated cement tile floor, laying the bathroom tile, the kitchen backsplash. The process was a joy, once I got beyond my fears, despite the inevitable headaches of having a home turned upside down for nearly three months. I feel as if Case has given me a new home, even though the remodel was only two rooms and a laundry alcove. And it’s a home that now lifts my spirits in exactly the way I’d hoped.

The project manager & design team were professional from the start. They were able to incorporate materials into the design that were somewhat hard to find (like fossil limestone). They were friendly, positive, and responsive. They engaged at the level of involvement that worked for me. They found accessories appropriate to my style (transitional/contemporary). They came up with good options for replacements for bathroom and kitchen hardware that needed to be upgraded, when I didn't feel like getting too deep into the weeds (handyman grade work in addition to significant renovations) They got me a great price on an upscale pendant lamp I wanted (I priced at several shops in the area but they get a discount), and then installed it. The team was able to work around my crazy schedule. The work was done on schedule (the extra handyman projects were tacked on at the end and took extra time. They were punctual and kept the place clean. It was a completely positive experience and I would use them again, and recommend them to others. The work was not cheap. I think I received reasonable value considering the materials and work done, but if you are looking for a bargain, this isn't your company. Work done: Complete renovation of hall/guest (full) bathroom and downstairs (full) bathroom; replace tile in entrance foyer; replace and rewire lampposts. Also multiple handyman fixes including ceiling fan install/ replacement, installation of pendant lamp, replacement of kitchen and laundry faucets, etc.

We were so happy with our full kithen remodeling project with Case that we engaged them again for the design and complete remodeling of a very large master bathroom. April and James were key to the success of both projects and Elena provided thoughtful design options for the master bath.

I have worked with Case Design (and its handyman affiliate Fred) many times over the course of 10 years. They have done everything from roof replacement, exterior painting, floor refinishing, door replacement, bathroom renovations to a complete kitchen replacement (and many other projects). They have consistently delivered quality work. When hiring someone to work on my home, the first question for me always is, can I trust them with the keys to my house and am I confident they will show up when they say they will? Case has ALWAYS met my expectations. Case has never just not shown up. How many contractors can you say that about? If they were ever unable to meet a date, which was rare, I always got a phone call by 8am explaining the situation and the remediation. That alone is invaluable, but the real value in any contractor, of course, is their people. And in this respect, Case sets itself apart. I have been fortunate to have Adrian Andreassi as my Case consultant and advisor on all my projects in recent years. His advice has been invaluable, and his willingness to help in any way, whether it’s a big project or a “crisis phone call,” has helped me make the “big decisions” as well as deal with unexpected emergencies. Loren Sanders was the project manager on a couple of my larger projects. I requested him the second time because he was so good the first. I have recommended Case to many friends and neighbors. Having just sold my home of more than 2 decades, I was gratified to be able to provide the new owners a full list of improvements and convey my confidence in Case to them. Since then, Adrian has visited my new place, and I am starting my new “Case list.” I’ve already had a Case craftsman help me here who worked on my old place – it felt like running into an old friend. You may not get the cheapest quote from Case, but you will get quality workmanship from people you can trust. I highly recommend them!

We have had two projects done by Case. Our initial experience was a master bath remodel. That went so well we returned to Case for a big project that included a kitchen remodel and an addition with a den and sunny dining area. For this project, Mike O’Hearn was our consultant and Loren Sanders was our project manager. We are very happy with the kitchen remodel and the addition. The livability of our house has greatly increased. Mike and Loren were both extremely prompt and professional and worked with the designer to keep things on track. Since the completion of the project we have had several occasions to contact Mike and Loren with questions and requests for help and they have always been prompt and helpful in their responses. We can confidently vouch for the quality of Case’s work without hesitation.

Case Design completely redesigned and remodeled our master bathroom in our 1970's town house in Reston, Virginia. The original bathroom was accessed through the master closet and was a small, dark space. The new bathroom has been relocated to open onto the hallway between the two bedrooms and the hallway has been closed off with double doors to create a master suite. A new closet space was also created. The design was done by Elle Hunter and Kevin Shore and they worked with us to find the best design within our budget. They were very easy to work with and gave us a great design. Elle was the project manager for the work and James Wood was the project supervisor. Both were great to work with and always very responsive to any questions or issues that came up. The work was completed pretty much on time and within the budget. We are very pleased with the end result.

Worked with John Audet at Case and his design team from November 2015 to do a complete remodel of our kitchen and three bathrooms. They listened actively to our needs and wants. Subsequently, they offered a design based on our input that helped us to visualize the completed project. We then worked collectively to make minor design modifications and select materials. Their professional knowledge and experience make the process much less traumatic and tedious than we anticipated. Along the way, they responded patiently to our calls for clarifications, modifications, and additions. The construction started March 2016 and lasted eight weeks plus a day. Loren Sanders (coordinators) and Bill Shaw (craftsman) and their crew were on-time, hard working, professional, and paid attention to details. They mitigated as much as they could on the disruption to our daily life during construction The final work is superb.. We are particularly appreciative that Loren offered constructive ideas for Case to do on insulation our crawl space and basement wall (which we took). He insisted that the kitchen window sill has matching granite with the counter. (done as he directed) Bill Shaw listened to us patiently regularly. He explained to us the finer points of his work. We were reassured by his calm explanation and demeanor. Overall, the Case crew are delightful to interact with.

In the spring of 2016, Case Design finished performing miracles on all five bathrooms of our 1986 Colonial home. Case completely renovated our master bath and powder room, and replaced cabinetry, and lighting on the other three bathrooms. Process: Case estimated the price range and then put us in front of a talented designer. Before meeting with the designer we were told to gather pictures of bathrooms we liked on Houzz and Pinterest. By the time we met with the designer, she already understood our taste. We had worked hard on the design beforehand, but, throughout the design phase, she never failed to improve on our ideas, add important elements and prevent any design mistakes. Case has a showroom and the designer was able to help us select tile, floor and cabinet choices right there – ample selection and a great convenience. Once the design was fleshed out, a working blueprint was generated and we met with our Project Manager who was with us throughout the project. He was on site a few times each week and met with us once a week expressly to make sure we were satisfied. We ordered the light fixtures ourselves, at their suggestion, and relied on Case for everything else. Talent: No amount of co-ordination can save a project if the talent isn't there. Case brings the talent! Either through long-established contractors - plumbers, painters and electricians, or their in-house workman doing framing, drywall and many other tasks. The work was done expertly. They'd conquer any surprise the house would offer up. The Case worker would do his own work well and then interface with sub-contractors to look out for our interest in getting the best outcomes. Recommendation: If you are an extreme DIY or know a talented handyman, you might be tempted to save a lot of money and go that route. And if you decide to hire a Design-Build company, Case may not be the cheapest quote you get. But with a five-bathroom job, we elected the conservative approach of going with Case - a group with a fine reputation. They sequenced the work wisely, warehoused items for us until needed, and, when a rare mistake came up, they made it right. Houses are great stores of value and we were happy to have Case on board to have the upgrades professionally built and ever so attractive.

We had a terrific experience with Case Design. Our project--a gut renovation (including new kitchen) of the first floor of our 1920s DC row house--was started on time, finished on time and stayed on budget. The team listened carefully to our wish list and designed a beautiful plan that was fully responsive to our needs. The crew was fantastic. They were reliable, hardworking, and true craftsmen. They were a pleasure to work with and see every day. While a renovation isn't a joy to live through, Case made it as easy as possible under the circumstances. And the team was extremely responsive to the very few issues that popped up after the job was completed. I highly recommend Case.

From 1 star then bumped it up to 5 stars when a VP from CASE contacted us after seeing the 1 star review. Thought they were sincere in helping, but the whole process and support has left a bad taste in one's mouth. Upon our 1st consultation with an employee from CASE's schedule FRED division, we paid 250 to have mock ups done. They took a week longer than promised, but no biggie. We were told that the consultant would return with an kitchen designer and someone else to go over the layout, etc. But once the 1st design was done, we only interacted with the consultant. Basically small design changes would take days to get a reply on, felt like we were chasing down the consultant. He would always say how busy he was and usually never replied until 7-9 pm at night. Finally after a lot of wasted time, we posted our frustration here. Thought things were resolved, even though the consultant still took days for minor changes. Some were due to gross oversight by the consultant. Finally, none of his designs accounted for the curvature of the ceiling heights. When confronted with the cabinet height recorded jutting into the ceiling, the reply was he had a "novel solution". Since there were a lot of charges that seemed bloated, we decided to just order cabinets and counter tops with CASE in the end. Even this fell apart because CASE refused to file any paperwork we needed to file with our Mortgage. CASE wouldn't sign the Mortgage Co. Waiver on Lien. The VP at CASE [final signing agent] also claimed that other Mortgage Co. had failed in paying them in the past. He wrote"As the authorized signing agent for FRED, I cannot sign off on this form. Our policy, from a legal perspective, is that the property Owner is responsible for paying us for the work, as per our contract. Our contract would be between us (FRED) and you and not [insert mortgage company]." As the bank is co-owner this didn;t make much sense. CASE's stance was really disappointing because we made it clear and clarified from day 1 that this was insurance loss and the Mortgage company would be dolling out the funds to CASE. We asked the CASE consultant if he was familiar with this and if CASE handles insurance renos. He said breezily, Oh sure, that's not a problem, that's wouldn't be an issue". So a lot of time wasted and we had to restart the entire process. Luckily, we found a great design company who had no problem signing the standard docs to submit to the Mortgage company. Just sorry that CASE/Fred's consultant told us one thing and then VP at CASE refuted everything.

The original owners of my house enclosed the entrance porch in the most unimaginable way...poor uninsulated woodwork with large glass panes that could not be opened, creating an unbearably hot chamber in summer and a frigid icebox in winter. The space was not only useless, it truly was an eyesore. If some houses have curb appeal, this one was curb appall! Case totally renovated the space, dividing it into two areas..a stone outside landing and an interior entrance walled with closets for storage and creating a graceful and appropriare entryway to the house. The design was perfect, the workmanship first-rate, and the communications and inter-relationship throughout the project exceptional. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any household remodeling or construction project.

David Waguespack, George Bergling, Pat Fagan, & Carolyn did an absolutely amazing job with my comprehensive daylight basement remodel. Five out of FIve STARS! CASE Design & Remodel is the 4th contractor I have worked with during the modernization/face-lift of my 1960's cape home. The CASE team was BY FAR the best of these 4 contractors! Specifically, David, George & Carolyn built a thoughtful, phased, contract proposal tied to realistic timeframes, & a phased payment plan. Carolyn and David were the only contractors (of three) who were able to design a functional and cost effective space layout that was actually feasible, acceptable and suitable. Moreover, the finished product is Be B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Throughout the process we all maintained an open & constructive dialog. They were extremely responsive to changes & even accommodated my request to work with an outside designer with whom I had an existing relationship, Robin Bond Interiors, Austin, TX. When logistical difficulties arose with local utilities George was persistent and worked ardently through these frustrations. CASE design, construction, supervision & craftsmanship are impeccable. Michael O'Hearn was the Case Design director of project development for my kitchen and bathroom renovations and he and his team of professional craftsmen did a fabulous job! I highly recommend Case and Mike and would definitely hire them again for any project in my house. Loren Sanders, who was the Case Design senior project manager on my kitchen, also did a great job of transforming my kitchen space. From beginning to end, their attention to detail on all aspects of both projects was exactly what I was looking for. They always made great suggestions and made sure I was comfortable with decisions about both renovations. I love the way both my kitchen and my bathroom turned out. It makes me happy every time I walk into both rooms!

I have used Case Design for several projects in my home. Most recently they did a gut and renovation of my kitchen. The staff who designed, managed, and performed the work were excellent. The project did not go over budget and was completed as scheduled. I could not be happier with the new kitchen and have recommended Case to several friends. We looked forward to remodeling our kitchen for years, but had heard horror stories from our friends of contractors taking six months or more. CASE helped us move from design to finish from February to the end of June. We love our new kitchen and we so pleased that they were able to finish it on time and on budget!

I have always dreaded the idea of renovation, and vowed never to undertake such a project. Unfortunately, my home-based business (which has been evolving over the last 15 years) and our other activities created demands for storage in most rooms that simply overwhelmed what was available. The house had more in common with a warehouse than a residence. The kitchen and bathrooms had last been updated in the 1980s. The house, being on a slab, was extremely damp and lighting was inadequate. After more than 19 years here, we either would have had to move or renovate. Arguing for renovation was the fact that the we could not really afford something we liked better, the house would need extensive work and decluttering to be sold, we enjoy our neighborhood, and we appreciated the fact that the house is almost completely at ground level (which we thought would be useful as we age). I contacted Case in August, and the project began at the end of January. The project developer, Jim Wrenn, was creative, always in good humor, and always flexible concerning the erratic demands of our ever-changing schedule. The designers, particularly Kevin Shore and Stephanie Dickens, did an outstanding job in finding solutions to all of our problems, and our Case project manager, James Wood, and his team did a great job in realizing their vision. Our 20th century house has now been swept into the 21st century. Was it always easy? Of course not! A big renovation is no picnic. But the Case team was supportive, the people both kind and competent, and the work was generally excellent. We're extremely happy with the end result, and looking forward to the next 20 years in the house.

The designer was fabulous. We had little space to work with but she did wonders with what we had. The process was more challenging; it is stressful to go through demolition, having your house full of workers for several days, noise levels were high, but in the end everything worked out well. Time to complete project was as expected (6 - 7 weeks). When we were not pleased with the back-splash we had chosen, our Director of Project Development was very gracious about it and we were able to change tile (at our own expense, of course). The workers were very skilled and knew what they were doing. We are very happy with the final product. It was expensive (almost 100K), but the quality was worth the expense.

I have had the Fred division of Case do nearly a dozen projects in my house. Projects have ranged from a simple closet shelf installation and exterior trim repairs to major tear out of an interior wall and remodeling my master bathroom. I have been totally satisfied with every project and I'm not easy to please. Craftsmen have been superior--skilled, courteous, and always on time. I recommend them without reservation.

This is a long way of saying, the experience of working with the Case team was better than I could have imagined. The concierge was sufficiently attentive and always seemed to contact me when I needed a prompt to follow up with one of you about some aspect of the process. Master bathroom remodel - completely gutted. Garden tub removed and replaced with a large custom shower with a bench. Custom made bench seat with storage. Many new custom cabinets for storage. In cabinet heating unit. Beautiful quartz countertops and trim.

I can not recommend Case Design enough. Working with the staff of Michael Sass, Elena Eskandari and Rich Gettys was a pleasure. They were professional, talented and hard-working. They addressed problems head on, minimizing the impact it had on me and the project. They maintained high standards through out the project and really cared that they did the best job they could. The result is a kitchen that is perfect for my family. I am extremely happy with Case and my kitchen.

Case has come to my house 45 times. They've built two bathrooms, modernized my kitchen, and done so many smaller jobs I can't begin to detail them. They are polite, skilled, and extremely tidy (something rare in home repair) They're not cheap, but you pay for experience and reliability. If they say they're arriving at 8:00, you can bet they will BE there or calling to let you know if they're delayed. Their work is guaranteed, and I've never had a problem with them. Highly recommend.

Absolutely great team! We just started to plan our renovation project with Case Design and my husband and I are very excited about it!

Well informed and easy to work with. Flexible The work was completed in a very professional manner in agreed upon time frame. We remodeled a bathroom to create a roll in shower by removing the bathtub. Our home is a condo so we had to work with the building management to determine what was possible architecturally and what was permissible. Even though they were more expensive, we feel the money was very well spent.

We used Case Design to design and renovate 2 bathrooms. Our master bathroom redesign included moving walls and building a new closet. Plumbing was moved around to make room for a larger shower and a double vanity. In our second bathroom we simply updated everything from top to bottom. The project was completed within a week of the target goal! Throughout the process we were kept updated on what to expect each week. Our designer Charlotte helped create 2 lovely spaces and provided support and suggestions each step of the way. Chip was great to work with and was always accessible and receptive of changes we made along the way. We would definitely use Case again and highly recommend their services.

We removed walls to achieve an open space kitchen, dining and living space. The design was excellent and exactly what we were expecting. The designer worked diligently to maintain our budget by selecting the best suppliers for our money. The job came in just a couple weeks past our estimate which is remarkable in this type of work. All contractors were first class, in terms of quality of work and respected our home and privacy. It was a very good experience! Our finished design has added equity to the house. We have been asked by many realtors, homeowners and potential buyers to see our home for ideas. At least three homeowners in the community have followed the same design concept for their homes.

We began with only one goal: To renovate an unsafe, outdated master bath with the goal of an aging-in-place bathroom. However, we were unfamiliar with design concepts, techniques or products to consider in order to reach our goal. In meeting numerous times with John and Kwasi, we were walked through available options ranging in price from $40,000 to $100,000 and the benefits and drawbacks of each. John and Kwasi raised issues, questions and options we had never considered. This process enabled us to narrow the options significantly and begin focusing on the design options. Again, the issues and questions raised by John and Kwasi provided invaluable assistance enabling us to make wise design decisions. Once the design process was complete, John and Kwasi offered considerable advice and assistance in moving forward to select materials and products for the project, even accompanying us to the showroom to make certain that the products selected would be consistent with the measurements of the space. In short, both gentlemen provided superior guidance throughout the entire process, exhibited intense interest in making certain we were pleased with the process and often, above and beyond the call of duty, troubleshot and provided assistance. Hired Case's small projects division (FRED) to handle masonry repair and front portico repair on our porch and front work. Price was on the high end but not outrageous. The actual work done was quite satisfactory, especially the masonry. The project manager seemed totally unfamiliar with what it takes to work in a designated historic district. Case wanted exorbitant fee to obtain permits but was not supportive/responsive in providing us with necessary documentation for us to do it. Ultimately the job was done, though, and we like the outcome.

We want to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to Case for the outstanding job that they did in renovating our newly purchased residence. Since Case had redesigned and renovated our former house over the last 30 years, to include all of our bathrooms, kitchen, an addition and our front porch, walk and wall, and more, they were our proven choice for the major renovation of our new residence. Our new residence, which is an apartment that was built in 1962 and had never been renovated, required a major redesign to open it up and update it. Adrian Andreassi, Senior Remodeling Consultant, met with us and we discussed the scope of what we would like done, which included a major redesign of the kitchen the bathrooms and work in every other room. The proposed renovation that he presented incorporated all of our expectations, as well as other recommendations that enhanced the original concept. Adrian continued to work with us throughout the project. Colleen Shaut, Interior Designer, completely redesigned the kitchen, insuring that maximum use was made of available space and that the kitchen, which is now open, complements the adjoining dining and living rooms. She was also invaluable in assuring that the right paint colors, fixtures, and accessories were selected. The construction team: Tom Craze; Project Manager, Shawn Higgins, Joe Tomasello, Vinny Ivanovich, Vance Raliegh, Lenny Blocker and Mike Rippeon were outstanding. Throughout the entire project they made recommendations, resolved issues that were unforeseen and that we would have never been aware of and adjusted when we asked that changes be made. Also, we very much appreciated the refinements that were suggested and incorporated by the team during the course of the project. We could not have asked for a more professional, courteous, cooperative and innovative team. The end result is a new residence that exceeded our expectations. Again, we have worked with Case for thirty years on many projects, have always been completely satisfied and would not hesitate to give them the highest recommendation.

Case Design designed my new bathroom and helped supervise the renovations from start to finish. The project was completed timely and within budget. My bathroom is even nicer than I had imagined. We couldn't be happier with the work done for us by Case Design Remodeling, under the leadership of Adrian Andreassi. Adrian talked with us at length in two meetings to fully understand what we were trying to accomplish with our remodeling job. He really listened and helped us reshape our plans so that they fit with our expectations and budget (pergola, hot tub, porch improvements). This contrasted with another design company we'd met with earlier which had presented us with a sketchy take-it-or-leave-it plan way over our budget and with minimal addition of useable outdoor space. Adrian was also very familiar with the DC zoning requirements, which saved alot of time in drawing up the designs. The Case architect created a very attractive 3-D computer design which we adjusted together. The construction manager and building team were true professionals and respectful of our schedules and preferences. Overall, the entire Case team deserves the highest ratings for interpersonal relations and communication as well as quality of the work done. Our project was not a very large remodeling job, but the time and care Case devoted never made us feel of less value that a "bigger" client.

We initially hired Case Design/Remodeling to refinish a full bathroom, convert our old kitchen into a mudroom and redo our front door and closet. The end result was fantastic. Our Project Designer, Michael O'Hearn and Project Manager, Kevin Morrissey, really made the process enjoyable. For the front door, they had to take out brick to add a door with sidelights and move a closet. They matched the brick perfectly and the floor were redone so well that you could never tell what were the old floors and what was new. Our new mudroom is amazing. We use it every day and they suggested great ideas to ensure maximum storage for our family of five. The old bathroom got a complete makeover and came out beautifully. They helped us select fixtures that would fit the space, tile that matched our style and colors that brought the whole room together. I was impressed with the focus on customer satisfaction, the constant communication and the end result. The changes really transformed our property. They worked around our crazy schedule with three young children and a couple of animals thrown into the mix. I particularly appreciated the attention they paid to ensuring that they followed all safety regulations (e.g. mitigating lead paint issues) while ensuring we still had access to the majority of our home. We used Case a second time when remodeling our powder room after our sink with corroded water valves started to fail. We took advantage of their Bath Design package that allows homeowners to select from three style and investment options to maximize value and style.
