Perfectly peaceful and feminine welcoming office space. Color palette of pale pink and sage green helps tie in with the vibrant floral wallpaper on opposite side of the room. Thick alpaca 'confetti' fabric on guest chairs adds an element of luxury while the vintage onyx countertop squared-off for a modern look, sits nestled in between the chairs, and adds to the refined elements of the room.

I am so excited to finally share my Spring 2018 One Room Challenge! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Natasha Habermann. I am a full-time interior designer and blogger living in North Salem, NY. Last Fall, I participated as a guest in the Fall 2017 ORC and was selected by Sophie Dow, editor in chief of House Beautiful to participate as a featured designer in the Spring 2018 ORC. I've religiously followed the ORC for years, so being selected as a featured designer was a tremendous honor.

A complete redesign of what was the guest bedroom to make this into a cosy and stylish home office retreat. The brief was to still use it as a guest bedroom as required and a plush velvet chesterfield style sofabed was included in the design. h

APARTMENT BERLIN VII Eine Berliner Altbauwohnung im vollkommen neuen Gewand: Bei diesen Räumen in Schöneberg zeichnete THE INNER HOUSE für eine komplette Sanierung verantwortlich. Dazu gehörte auch, den Grundriss zu ändern: Die Küche hat ihren Platz nun als Ort für Gemeinsamkeit im ehemaligen Berliner Zimmer. Dafür gibt es ein ruhiges Schlafzimmer in den hinteren Räumen. Das Gästezimmer verfügt jetzt zudem über ein eigenes Gästebad im britischen Stil. Bei der Sanierung achtete THE INNER HOUSE darauf, stilvolle und originale Details wie Doppelkastenfenster, Türen und Beschläge sowie das Parkett zu erhalten und aufzuarbeiten. Darüber hinaus bringt ein stimmiges Farbkonzept die bereits vorhandenen Vintagestücke nun angemessen zum Strahlen. Главной фишкой данного помещения является 3D-панель за телевизором, с вырезанными в темном дереве силуэтами веток. Сбоку от дивана стена выполнена из декоративной штукатурки, которая реверсом повторяет орнамент центрального акцента помещения. Напротив телевизора выделено много места под журнальный столик, выполненный из теплого дерева и просторный диван изумрудного цвета. Изначально у дивана подразумевалось сделать большой ковер, но из-за большого количества проб, подбор ковра затянулся на большой срок. Однако привезенный дизайнером ковер для фотосъемки настолько вписался в общую картину именно за счет своей текстуры, что было желание непременно оставить такой необычный элемент. Сама комната сочетает яркие и бежевые тона, однако зона кабинета отделена цветовым решением, она в более темных деревянных текстурах. Насыщенный коричневый оттенок пола и потолка отделяет контрастом данную зону и соответствует вкусам хозяина. Рабочее место отгородили прозрачным резным стеллажом. А в дополнение напротив письменного стола стоит еще один стеллаж индивидуального исполнения из глубокого темного дерева, в котором много секций под документы и книги. Зону над компьютером хорошо освещает подвесной светильник, который, как и почти все освещение в доме, соответствует современному стилю.

Vintage gold artwork and a modern gold wall sconce work together to add some refined bling to this organic maximalist 'Rainbow Poppy Meadow' wallpaper by Rebel Walls. Also featured here is a tall white Wayfair cabinet to help with office storage. The vertical height is always welcome in a small space and the space below the cabinet is great for even more storage if needed. The cane feature on the cabinet was received with the original wood, but we added some of the white-wash paint used in the upcycled chairs, to slightly tone down the yellow in the natural wood fibers and allow it blend a bit more cohesively with the office guest chairs (not shown here, but across the room).
