This Paradise Valley stunner was a down-to-the-studs renovation. The owner, a successful business woman and owner of Bungalow Scottsdale -- a fabulous furnishings store, had a very clear vision. DW's mission was to re-imagine the 1970's solid block home into a modern and open place for a family of three. The house initially was very compartmentalized including lots of small rooms and too many doors to count. With a mantra of simplify, simplify, simplify, Architect CP Drewett began to look for the hidden order to craft a space that lived well. This residence is a Moroccan world of white topped with classic Morrish patterning and finished with the owner's fabulous taste. The kitchen was established as the home's center to facilitate the owner's heart and swagger for entertaining. The public spaces were reimagined with a focus on hospitality. Practicing great restraint with the architecture set the stage for the owner to showcase objects in space. Her fantastic collection includes a glass-top faux elephant tusk table from the set of the infamous 80's television series, Dallas. It was a joy to create, collaborate, and now celebrate this amazing home. Project Details: Architecture: C.P. An open concept room, this family room has all it needs to create a cozy inviting space. The mismatched sofas were a purposeful addition adding some depth and warmth to the space. The clients were new to this area, but wanted to use as much of their own items as possible. The yellow alpaca blanket purchased when traveling to Peru was the start of the scheme and pairing it with their existing navy blue sofa. The only additions were the cream sofa the round table and tying it all together with some custom pillows.

In this open concept living room, we decided to add a larger sofa with a chaise into the room for more comfortable usability. What I love about a chaises is it doesn't visibly block the line of sight but still allows you a place to lay down.

This room was redesigned with In & Out Design's One Day Redesign Program. This program utilizes the homeowner's existing decor in a new way plus a few additional purchases. It's a great way to get a new look "on a budget".

MVM client wanted a sustainable leather sectional, so we custom made one with recycled leather. We then upcycled 2 vintage swivel chairs in this eclectic mix of 'steampunk' fabric and nailheads. New rug and tables complete the look.

A cozy family room is all you need to feel warm in the pacific northwest. With newly painted grey walls from the previous owner, these new owners wanted to warm up the space using as much of their existing furniture as possible. A navy and yellow color scheme with warm woods help achieve their needs.

To allow more seating in this medium sized room we put two smaller scale barrel chairs in front of the back door. Because their profile has a lower back and smaller scale, they do not impede the egress and ingress of the space.
