Bright Aqua Blue Cottage Kitchen Window Nook and Dining Room Boot Bench

Diana Wiesner of Lampert Lumber in Chetek, WI worked with her client and Dura Supreme to create this custom teal blue paint color for their new kitchen. They wanted a contemporary cottage styled kitchen with blue cabinets to contrast their love of blue, red, and yellow. The homeowners can now come home to a stunning teal (aqua) blue kitchen that grabs center stage in this contemporary home with cottage details. Bria Cabinetry by Dura Supreme with an affordable Personal Paint Match finish to "Calypso" SW 6950 in the Craftsman Beaded Panel door style. This kitchen was featured in HGTV Magazine summer of 2014 in the Kitchen Chronicles. Here's a quote from the designer's interview that was featured in the issue. "Every time you enter this kitchen, it's like walking into a Caribbean vacation. It's upbeat and tropical, and it can be paired with equally vivid reds and greens. I was worried the homeowners might get blue fatigue, and it's definitely a gutsy choice for a rural Wisconsin home. Having lived in England and now Canada, these clients wanted to inject some personality and extra space for their young family into their 70’s, two storey home. I was brought in to help with the extension of their front foyer, reconfiguration of their powder room and mudroom. We opted for some rich blue color for their front entry walls and closet, which reminded them of English pubs and sea shores they have visited. The floor tile was also a node to some classic elements. When it came to injecting some fun into the space, we opted for graphic wallpaper in the bathroom.

Planche de tendances : L'entrée est un jeu, l'idée est de se perdre visuellement dans cet espace. On ne sait pas où l'on se trouve et surtout où mènent toutes ces portes de la même couleur que les murs. Nous proposons d'intégrer plusieurs accessoires en misant sur les matériaux naturels (bambou, chanvre, bois) afin de faire ressortir le bleu profond choisi pour les murs (Stiffkey blue de Farrow & Ball). Les stickers "montée des marches" et "trompe l'oeil couloir" proviennent de chez Art décor.
