APARTMENT BERLIN V Stimmige Farben und harmonische Wohnlichkeit statt kühler, weißer Räume: Für diese Berliner Altbauwohnung entwarf THE INNER HOUSE zunächst ein stimmiges Farbkonzept. Während die Küche in hellen Farbtönen gehalten ist, bestimmen warme Erdtöne das Wohnzimmer. Im Schlafzimmer dominieren gemütliche Blautöne. Nach einem Umzug beauftragte ein Kunde THE INNER HOUSE erneut mit der Gestaltung seiner Wohnräume. So entstand auf 80 Quadratmetern im Prenzlauer Berg eine harmonische Mischung aus Alt und Neu, Gewohntem und Ungewohntem. Das bereits vorhandene, stilvolle Mobiliar wurde dabei um einige ausgewählte Stücke ergänzt. Le projet Lafayette est un projet extraordinaire. Un Loft, en plein coeur de Paris, aux accents industriels qui baigne dans la lumière grâce à son immense verrière. Nous avons opéré une rénovation partielle pour ce magnifique loft de 200m2. La raison ? Il fallait rénover les pièces de vie et les chambres en priorité pour permettre à nos clients de s’installer au plus vite. C’est pour quoi la rénovation sera complétée dans un second temps avec le changement des salles de bain. Côté esthétique, nos clients souhaitaient préserver l’originalité et l’authenticité de ce loft tout en le remettant au goût du jour. L’exemple le plus probant concernant cette dualité est sans aucun doute la cuisine. D’un côté, on retrouve un côté moderne et neuf avec les caissons et les façades signés Ikea ainsi que le plan de travail sur-mesure en verre laqué blanc. D’un autre, on perçoit un côté authentique avec les carreaux de ciment sur-mesure au sol de Mosaïc del Sur ; ou encore avec ce bar en bois noir qui siège entre la cuisine et la salle à manger. Il s’agit d’un meuble chiné par nos clients que nous avons intégré au projet pour augmenter le côté authentique de l’intérieur. A noter que la grandeur de l’espace a été un véritable challenge technique pour nos équipes. Elles ont du échafauder sur plusieurs mètres pour appliquer les peintures sur les murs. Ces dernières viennent de Farrow & Ball et ont fait l’objet de recommandations spéciales d’une coloriste.

A daring monochromatic approach to a master suite truly fit for a bold personality. Hues of blue adorn this room to create a moody yet vibrant feel. The seating area allows for a period of unwinding before bed, while the chaise lets you “lounge” around on those lazy days. The concept for this space was boutique hotel meets monochrome madness. The 5 star experience should always follow you home.

Bedrooms are one of my favorite rooms in the home, a bedroom must be comfortable and serene. I design master bedrooms as a private retreat for my clients. Elements of a great bedroom include: -Foundation: Don’t underestimate the power of a great night’s sleep. Your matress is the most important element in the room. We have some tips below from Chicago Luxury Beds about how to select the right mattress for you. Chicago Luxury Beds is providing a wonderful mattress for the model showcase we are creating at the Ritz Carlton Residences. You’ll have to come by and see it for yourself, stay tuned for the opening in March. -Fabulous Sheets: I love Pratesi, they make the softest most luxurious bedding in the marketplace. -Bedding Toppers: Accent pillows, cashmere blankets or a colorful throw will pull your entire room together. -Create a Focal Point: Use a great wallcovering, window treatment, piece of art or fireplace. -Mix and Match Furniture: Bedroom sets are a thing of the past. I love creating full dressing rooms for my clients and keeping furniture within the bedroom suite more decorative. Don’t be afraid to mix and match to create an eclectic vibe. Upholstered headboards are still a strong trend and allow for a personal touch by mixing shapes, custom fabrics and trimmings. -Window Treatments: Don’t skimp on window treatments. Decorative panels add softness to the room while shades should be black-out lined to guarantee a good night’s rest. -Lighting: I believe there should be a combination of ambient and task lighting in the bedroom. A great chandelier should always be on a dimmer. Bedside lamps or sconces should be on dimmers as well but should be bright enough to read by. Don’t forget lighting should be flattering, we all want to look our best, don’t we?
