Dans la cuisine, une deuxième banquette permet de dissimuler un radiateur et crée un espace repas très agréable avec un décor panoramique sur les murs.

Cet espace de 50 m² devait être propice à la détente et la déconnexion, où chaque membre de la famille pouvait s’adonner à son loisir favori : l’écoute d’un vinyle, la lecture d’un livre, quelques notes de guitare… Le vert kaki et le bois brut s’harmonisent avec le paysage environnant, visible de part et d’autre de la pièce au travers de grandes fenêtres. Réalisés avec d’anciennes planches de bardage, les panneaux de bois apportent une ambiance chaleureuse dans cette pièce d’envergure et réchauffent l’espace cocooning auprès du poêle. Quelques souvenirs évoquent le passé de cette ancienne bâtisse comme une carte de géographie, un encrier et l’ancien registre de l’école confié par les habitants du village aux nouveaux propriétaires.

Southwest Florida’s hot summers and mild winters, along with amenity-rich communities and beautiful homes, attract retirees from around the world every year. And, it is not uncommon to see these active adults choosing to spend their summers away from Florida, only to return for the fall/winter. For our fabulous clients, that’s exactly what they did. After spending summers in Michigan, and winters in Bonita Springs, Florida, they decided to set down some roots. They purchased a home in Bonita Bay where they had enough space to build a guest suite for an aging parent who needed around the clock care. After interviewing three different contractors, the chose to retain Progressive Design Build’s design services. Progressive invested a lot of time during the design process to ensure the design concept was thorough and reflected the couple’s vision. Options were presented, giving these homeowners several alternatives and good ideas on how to realize their vision, while working within their budget. Progressive Design Build guided the couple all the way—through selections and finishes, saving valuable time and money. When all was said and done, the design plan included a completely remodeled master suite, a separate master suite for the couple’s aging parents, a new kitchen, family room entertainment area, and laundry room. The cozy home was renovated with tiled flooring throughout, with the exception of carpeting in the bedrooms. Progressive Design Build modified some interior walls, created Wainscoted panels, a new home office, and completely painted the home inside and out. This project resulted in the first of four additional projects this homeowner would complete with Progressive Design Build over the next five years.

Photo by Erika Cooper. The centerpieces of the open concept condo were the Mackenzie Childs' chandelier, dining table, and dining chairs, which the client chose on her own. We designed around these pieces and incorporated them into the room, allowing them to take center stage without dominating it completely. The buffet provides extra storage and helps to offset the stark whiteness of the tile and kitchen cabinets, which the client had no desire to change. Soft pendant lighting over the eating nook in the kitchen is perfect an intimate yet informal dinner for one or two.

The top of this beautiful farm table is made from very early salvaged floor boards from a circa 1780 home in MA. The floor was painted a sage green at some point in time and there is reminiscence of paint on the table top. We matched the aprons and hand turned Windsor leg with worn sage green paint, which complements the tile floor. Shall I say "PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL".

This 1960s split-level has a new Family Room addition in front of the existing home, with a total gut remodel of the existing Kitchen/Living/Dining spaces. The spacious Kitchen boasts a generous curved stone-clad island and plenty of custom cabinetry. The Kitchen opens to a large eat-in Dining Room, with a walk-around stone double-sided fireplace between Dining and the new Family room. the camilleriparismode project and design studio were entrusted to convert and redesign a 200 year old townhouse situated in the heart of naxxar. the clients wished a large kitchen married to different entertainment spaces as a holistic concept on the ground floor. the first floor would have three bedrooms, thus upstairs and downstairs retaining a ‘family’ home feel which was the owners’ primary preconception. camilleriparismode design studio – careful to respect the structure’s characteristics - remodeled the house to give it a volume and ease of movement between rooms. the staircase turns 180 degrees with each bedroom having individual access and in turn connected through a new concrete bridge. a lightweight glass structure, allowing natural light to flow unhindered throughout the entire house, has replaced an entire wall in the central courtyard. architect ruben lautier undertook the challenge to oversee all structural changes. the authentic and original patterned cement tiles were kept, the stone ceilings cleaned and pointed and its timber beams painted in soft subtle matt paints form our zuber collection. bolder tones of colours were applied to the walls. roman blinds of large floral patterned fabric, plush sofas and eclectic one-off pieces of furniture as well as artworks make up the decoration of the ground floor. the master bedroom upstairs and its intricately designed tiles houses an 18th century bed dressed in fine linens form camilleriparismode’s fabric department. the rather grand décor of this room is juxtaposed against the sleek modern ensuite bathroom and a walk-in shower made up of large slab brushed travertine. photography © brian grech
