Piano attico con grande veranda vetrata nella quale è presente un grande tavolo tondo che ospita fino a 10 persone. L'ambiente è tutto aperto tra cucina, salottino e zona pranzo. Il terrazzo sia al piano che sulla copertura dell'attico offrono una vista a 360° sul centro di Milano.

Old World European, Country Cottage. Three separate cottages make up this secluded village over looking a private lake in an old German, English, and French stone villa style. Hand scraped arched trusses, wide width random walnut plank flooring, distressed dark stained raised panel cabinetry, and hand carved moldings make these traditional farmhouse cottage buildings look like they have been here for 100s of years. Newly built of old materials, and old traditional building methods, including arched planked doors, leathered stone counter tops, stone entry, wrought iron straps, and metal beam straps. The Lake House is the first, a Tudor style cottage with a slate roof, 2 bedrooms, view filled living room open to the dining area, all overlooking the lake. The Carriage Home fills in when the kids come home to visit, and holds the garage for the whole idyllic village. This cottage features 2 bedrooms with on suite baths, a large open kitchen, and an warm, comfortable and inviting great room. All overlooking the lake. The third structure is the Wheel House, running a real wonderful old water wheel, and features a private suite upstairs, and a work space downstairs. All homes are slightly different in materials and color, including a few with old terra cotta roofing. Project Location: Ojai, California. Project designed by Maraya Interior Design. This project is a great example of how small changes can have a huge impact on a space. ​ Our clients wanted to have a more functional dining and living areas while combining his modern and hers more traditional style. The goal was to bring the space into the 21st century aesthetically without breaking the bank. We first tackled the massive oak built-in fireplace surround in the dining area, by painting it a lighter color. We added built-in LED lights, hidden behind each shelf ledge, to provide soft accent lighting. By changing the color of the trim and walls, we lightened the whole space up. We turned a once unused space, adjacent to the living room into a much-needed library, accommodating an area for the electric piano. We added light modern sectional, an elegant coffee table, and a contemporary TV media unit in the living room. New dark wood floors, stylish accessories and yellow drapery add warmth to the space and complete the look. ​ The home is now ready for a grand party with champagne and live entertainment.

Removing a few walls opens up this little living room to the adjacent dining room, and keeps the cozy feeling without the claustrophobia. New built-in book shelves flank the fireplace, providing ample library space for window seat reading. A hanging chandelier provides light an elegant atmosphere, added to by matching pink chairs, ivory busts, and large area rugs. Dark wood furniture in the dining room adds gravity and a nice contrast to the auburn wood floors, grey walls, and white detailed moldings. This cozy retreat is in the Panhandle in San Francisco. The view from the Kitchen Island towards the Kitchen Table now offers the homeowner commanding visual access to the Entry Hall, Dining Room, and Family Room as well as the side Mud Room entrance. The new eat-in area with a custom designed fireplace was the former location of the Kitchen workspace.
