Our Carmel design-build studio was tasked with organizing our client’s basement and main floor to improve functionality and create spaces for entertaining. In the basement, the goal was to include a simple dry bar, theater area, mingling or lounge area, playroom, and gym space with the vibe of a swanky lounge with a moody color scheme. In the large theater area, a U-shaped sectional with a sofa table and bar stools with a deep blue, gold, white, and wood theme create a sophisticated appeal. The addition of a perpendicular wall for the new bar created a nook for a long banquette. With a couple of elegant cocktail tables and chairs, it demarcates the lounge area. Sliding metal doors, chunky picture ledges, architectural accent walls, and artsy wall sconces add a pop of fun. On the main floor, a unique feature fireplace creates architectural interest. The traditional painted surround was removed, and dark large format tile was added to the entire chase, as well as rustic iron brackets and wood mantel. The moldings behind the TV console create a dramatic dimensional feature, and a built-in bench along the back window adds extra seating and offers storage space to tuck away the toys. In the office, a beautiful feature wall was installed to balance the built-ins on the other side. After living with a failed wooden floor, our clients wanted the look of a beautiful oak floor for their living room and hallway but also wanted a floor that was easy to care for. Karndean's Art Select Handcrafted Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) Range - Summer Oak - was chosen. Fully waterproof and easy to care for, The Art Select range replicates hand crafted solid wood. The sub-floors were prepared with SP101 Plywood and then the LVT was fully stuck to the plywood.

A modern home that exudes warmth, gives our homeowners the comfort to ‘do’ life in their space. This professional couple with a young daughter wanted to make their newly-purchased house an expression of their contemporary style, filled with warmth and personality. They didn’t want mix-and-match big-box retailer style and they needed pieces that would hold up to their little one. That’s where Pulp comes in. Beth and Carolina created a design that pushed their style boundaries, taking them from sleek contemporary to warm and modern using pattern, textural elements, and color. Though initially hesitant, some of the items that were the biggest leap of faith (such as the lighting and drapery) have come to be the pieces they love the most. With customized cleanable and wipeable pieces, they and their young one can live life in their space without fear.

A contemporary dining area was created just off of the living room, creating a modern and open floor plan.

Reclaimed Heart Pine floors, reclaimed bowling alley counter tops that still have the original darts and arrows. Original finish heart pine panels and bar surround. Heart Pine beams and coffered ceiling

Fern Allison. I designed this custom cabinet to be used for both display and entertainment. As you will see in the next picture 2 of the doors drop down to reveal a sink, glasses and liquor. the wood is Sapele Mahogany.

A 'den', just off the kitchen area and enclosed by a curtain on 2 sides, is a retreat space for watching the television or a private guest space with a fold out murphy bed. The woven vinyl flooring and calming wall color contribute to a the coziness of the zone.

Our glamorous lounge area shows the stunning interior and the subtle use of mood lighting using colour change lights. The colour change lights can be controlled using an amBX system which can be used to set a scene or even to make the colours change to music!
