A simple idea gracefully executed in the Larmes Collection. Row upon row of Clear oversized teardrops, mounted onto an extended Polished Chrome lamp holder that supports xenon lamps sets the stage. Individually adjustable drops for custom stagger effects allow for dramatic impact. An added benefit of each drop being aircraft cable-suspended is the ability to adjust the overall height of the piece to fit the space. The overall result is stark and stunning.

Joanne's parents purchased a Davonport kitchen a decade ago and ever since she has been dreaming of her own. However, Joanne and Stuart chose to postpone creating their own dream kitchen until their home was ready. Having now moved into their 'forever home' and added a full width rear extension they were able to design their own bespoke Davonport open plan kitchen.

Wall of storage and appliances help streamline this family kitchen. Soft green gloss cabinets with curved finger pulls, stainless appliances keep the look streamlined. Wine torage hidden inside pantry, buildt in coffee maker and speed oven. Photos by Roger Turk

This elegant, classic painted kitchen was designed and made by Tim Wood to act as the hub of this busy family house in Kensington, London. The kitchen has many elements adding to its traditional charm, such as Shaker-style peg rails, an integrated larder unit, wall inset spice racks and a limestone floor. A richly toned iroko worktop adds warmth to the scheme, whilst honed Nero Impala granite upstands feature decorative edging and cabinet doors take on a classic style painted in Farrow & Ball's pale powder green. A decorative plasterer was even hired to install cornicing above the wall units to give the cabinetry an original feel. But despite its homely qualities, the kitchen is packed with top-spec appliances behind the cabinetry doors. There are two large fridge freezers featuring icemakers and motorised shelves that move up and down for improved access, in addition to a wine fridge with individually controlled zones for red and white wines. These are teamed with two super-quiet dishwashers that boast 30-minute quick washes, a 1000W microwave with grill, and a steam oven with various moisture settings. The steam oven provides a restaurant quality of food, as you can adjust moisture and temperature levels to achieve magnificent flavours whilst retaining most of the nutrients, including minerals and vitamins. The La Cornue oven, which is hand-made in Paris, is in brushed nickel, stainless steel and shiny black. It is one of the most amazing ovens you can buy and is used by many top Michelin rated chefs. It has domed cavity ovens for better baking results and makes a really impressive focal point too. Completing the line-up of modern technologies are a bespoke remote controlled extractor designed by Tim Wood with an external motor to minimise noise, a boiling and chilled water dispensing tap and industrial grade waste disposers on both sinks. This is a 1800's home located in the Downtown Historic District. The client desired to transform the existing 4 rooms, built of original plaster walls, into an open floor plan style kitchen, family room/den and powder room. The new space needed to be highly functional to accommodate this young family. Having a pool in the backyard, kids, dogs and a lot of future entertaining planned, porcelain tile plank flooring was used to cover the decaying original hardwood floors. I would classify this project as "Desert Contemporary." The door is a Shaker door with a rustic Folkstone finish, with a pop of white in the center visual. The cabinet design is European Frameless so we were able to minimize the gaps between the doors and provide a complete flush layout. Stuart has a passion for gin and as a self appointed gin connoisseur, he affectionately titled the drinks cabinet his 'alchemy' cupboard - hence the bespoke engraving above the doors. Joanne was particularly pleased with the alchemy cupboard; providing a place to create drinks and store Stuart's collection of over 30 different gins.
