This was a complete renovation. My client wanted a contemporary home. The kitchen incorporates a wall of cabinetry that offers plenty of storage, waterfall island with double side storage, and complemented by glass pendant lights. The fireplace mimics the cabinet color of the kitchen and accentuates the height of the room. Master bathroom suite is open and airy, incorporating a freestanding tub, glass shower, floating vanity and water closet and closet make this space complete. Barn doors were added to the hallway to save space in the powder room and guest bathrooms. Glass tile was used in both to add reflection. A lit mirror saves space and floating vanities give a modern touch.

This custom new construction home located in Fox Trail, Illinois was designed for a sizeable family who do a lot of extended family entertaining. There was a strong need to have the ability to entertain large groups and the family cooks together. The family is of Indian descent and because of this there were a lot of functional requirements including thoughtful solutions for dry storage and spices. The architecture of this project is more modern aesthetic, so the kitchen design followed suit. The home sits on a wooded site and has a pool and lots of glass. Taking cues from the beautiful site, O’Brien Harris Cabinetry in Chicago focused the design on bringing the outdoors in with the goal of achieving an organic feel to the room. They used solid walnut timber with a very natural stain so the grain of the wood comes through. There is a very integrated feeling to the kitchen. The volume of the space really opens up when you get to the kitchen. Refreshing Kitchen Renovation Galley kitchen renovated for more functional space. Our clients wanted to take their galley kitchen and transform it into a more open floor plan. This transformation of the galley took place into a larger functional “U” shaped kitchen. Natural alder cabinets were the choice for a light and bright kitchen space. As well as taking the cabinets to the ceiling provided more storage and organization. Including the addition of a large pot drawer cabinet. Each cabinet was accessorized with cabinet hardware in Verona Bronze.

Our homeowner has a good sized kitchen but needed a more current layout that flowed better and allowed them to entertain guests easily. We reorganized the appliances and floorplan, starting with 12 x 24 porcilain tiled floor. New wood cabinetry was custom finished in a stunning "Coffee" glazed colour and complimented with beautiful quartz countertops. A deck mounted pot filler faucet was also installed to make cooking tasks easier and a new geometric backsplash was installed to tie it all together.
