This beautiful home, located in Boerne, Tx, utilizes our Macchiato Plank for the flooring, Vaal 3D Wallboard on the chimneys, and Ipe Decking for the exterior walls. The modern luxurious feel of our products are a match made in heaven for this upscale residence.

SDH Studio - Architecture and Design Location: Boca Raton, Florida, USA Set on a 8800 Sq. Ft. lot in Boca Raton waterway, this contemporary design captures the warmth and hospitality of its owner. A sequence of cantilevering covered terraces provide the stage for outdoor entertaining.

Front entry walk and custom entry courtyard gate leads to a courtyard bridge and the main two-story entry foyer beyond. Privacy courtyard walls are located on each side of the entry gate. They are clad with Texas Lueders stone and stucco, and capped with standing seam metal roofs. Custom-made ceramic sconce lights and recessed step lights illuminate the way in the evening. Elsewhere, the exterior integrates an Engawa breezeway around the perimeter of the home, connecting it to the surrounding landscaping and other exterior living areas. The Engawa is shaded, along with the exterior wall’s windows and doors, with a continuous wall mounted awning. The deep Kirizuma styled roof gables are supported by steel end-capped wood beams cantilevered from the inside to beyond the roof’s overhangs. Simple materials were used at the roofs to include tiles at the main roof; metal panels at the walkways, awnings and cabana; and stained and painted wood at the soffits and overhangs. Elsewhere, Texas Lueders stone and stucco were used at the exterior walls, courtyard walls and columns.

We assisted with building and furnishing this model home. The entry way is two story. We kept the furnishings minimal, simply adding wood trim boxes.

Entrée cosy et contemporaine, filtrée par un jeu de tasseaux et de panneaux Racken métal. Je me suis servie du poteau, contrainte de départ, pour encadrer l'escalier en créant à gauche un colonne "coupée" avec le bas de la console et le luminaire sur mesure. Le poteau existant est allégé par un miroir tout en hauteur.

This project was the remodelling of the existing rather ugly 1970s wire-cut brick house. The site though was spectacular, facing Pittwater north of Sydney. We wanted to giver the owner a house that would provide a contemporary facade, light and fresh on the ground level and strong and bold above.
