Hidden amongst the coastal gums, this contemporary warehouse / beach house is located on the edge of the wallum section of the Noosa National Park. The construction is lightweight with suspended timber floors, a large skillion roof with clerestory windows to let in winter sunlight and southern daylight into the top living level. Large cantilevered deck overlooks the pristine beach ecosystem. The entry is a transitional space inspired by the Japanese Genkan.

The homeowners needed a new porch roof where they could enter while avoiding bad weather. The brackets on this metal roof of the new entrance and artistic downspout add the right modern coastal touches.

The approach to the Caza comes from an allocated parking space for the occupant. New asphalt driveway was installed as part of the build with added lilli pills hedge planted as an edge to the private open space. The roof slopes away from the entry side and all water is collected to holding tanks for use inside.

This wall mounted 6 line clothesline into brick utilises this 2400mm space perfectly. Each bracket is 200mm wide and cables are DUPLEX to withstand the salty winds with the beach only a 5 minute walk away.

This portable custom home office add-on was inspired by the Oasis model with its 6' round windows (yes, there are two of them!). The Round windows are pushed out creating a space to span bar slab to sit at with a ledge for your feet and tile detailing. The other End is left open so you can lounge in the round window and use it as a reading nook. The Office had 4 desk spaces, a flatscreen tv and a built-in couch with storage underneath and at it's sides. The end tables are part of the love-seat and serve as bookshelves and are sturdy enough to sit on. There is accent lighting and a 2x10" ledge that leads around the entire room- it is strong enough to be used as a library storing hundreds of books.
