The Master Bathroom is an oasis of tranquility that exudes style. The custom cabinetry by Ascent Fine Cabinetry highlights the wallpaper by Osborne & Little. Fixtures by Kohler.

This was a lovely 19th century cottage on the outside, but the interior had been stripped of any original features. We didn't want to create a pastiche of a traditional Cornish cottage. But we incorporated an authentic feel by using local materials like Delabole Slate, local craftsmen to build the amazing feature staircase and local cabinetmakers to make the bespoke kitchen and TV storage unit. This gave the once featureless interior some personality. We had a lucky find in the concealed roof space. We found three original roof trusses and our talented contractor found a way of showing them off. In addition to doing the interior design, we also project managed this refurbishment. Rose Interiors Photographer: M-Buck Studio This charming house wraps all of the conveniences of a modern, open concept floor plan inside of a wonderfully detailed modern farmhouse exterior. The front elevation sets the tone with its distinctive twin gable roofline and hipped main level roofline. Large forward facing windows are sheltered by a deep and inviting front porch, which is further detailed by its use of square columns, rafter tails, and old world copper lighting. Inside the foyer, all of the public spaces for entertaining guests are within eyesight. At the heart of this home is a living room bursting with traditional moldings, columns, and tiled fireplace surround. Opposite and on axis with the custom fireplace, is an expansive open concept kitchen with an island that comfortably seats four. During the spring and summer months, the entertainment capacity of the living room can be expanded out onto the rear patio featuring stone pavers, stone fireplace, and retractable screens for added convenience. When the day is done, and it’s time to rest, this home provides four separate sleeping quarters. Three of them can be found upstairs, including an office that can easily be converted into an extra bedroom. The master suite is tucked away in its own private wing off the main level stair hall. Lastly, more entertainment space is provided in the form of a lower level complete with a theatre room and exercise space.

Timothy J Park Our firm was responsible for both the interiors and the architecture on this hillside home. The challenge was to design a "timeless" contemporary home that hugged the two acre hillside lot. One request was to enter the main floor with no exterior steps from the garage or driveway, something that is appreciated when there is three feet of snow! The solution for the entry was to create a twenty foot bridge from the exterior gate to the front door, this allowed the house to drop down the slope and created a very exciting entry courtyard. The interior has very simple lines and plays up the floor to ceiling windows with the ceiling level extending outside to create the deep overhang for the exterior. While our firm is primarily an interior design firm we are occasionally asked to create architectural plans. We prefer to work along with the architect on a project to create that "dream team" which results in the most successful projects.

Fun fact: we remodeled this bathroom complete in just 11 days, Day 1 being demo to Day 11 being able to take a shower. We did it while the Owners were away on vacation.
