The new construction luxury home was designed by our Carmel design-build studio with the concept of 'hygge' in mind – crafting a soothing environment that exudes warmth, contentment, and coziness without being overly ornate or cluttered. Inspired by Scandinavian style, the design incorporates clean lines and minimal decoration, set against soaring ceilings and walls of windows. These features are all enhanced by warm finishes, tactile textures, statement light fixtures, and carefully selected art pieces. In the living room, a bold statement wall was incorporated, making use of the 4-sided, 2-story fireplace chase, which was enveloped in large format marble tile. Each bedroom was crafted to reflect a unique character, featuring elegant wallpapers, decor, and luxurious furnishings. The primary bathroom was characterized by dark enveloping walls and floors, accentuated by teak, and included a walk-through dual shower, overhead rain showers, and a natural stone soaking tub. An open-concept kitchen was fitted, boasting state-of-the-art features and statement-making lighting. This modern bathroom remodel utilized natural light and organic, fluid tile design to create a sense of tranquility. The creative use of multi-colored pebble tiles, contrasting grout tones and outside-the-box design elements make the space feel lighthearted and playful, as well as spacious and grounding. The floors were salvaged from a local high school gym and the door leading into the master bathroom was custom made with a window re-light that aligns with the window in the shower. This allows for fluidity of light and space when the door is in the open position.

The master bath with its free standing tub and open shower. The separate vanities allow for ease of use and the shiplap adds texture to the otherwise white space.

The vanity cabinet is from DeWil's Custom Cabinetry, from their frameless Horizon line. The Sirius door style is in a Walnut wood, in DeWil's Caffe stain option. This door style, wood and stain color as in the master bath area. We decided to tile the vanity counter with the same Bedrosain Tile Athena/ Color: Ash and grout it with Latictrete Spectralock Epoxy grout for easy maintenance.
