We were engaged to modernise our client's home including bathroom, new flooring and kitchen refresh . He wanted a contemporary, minimalistic design. This was achieved by using stunning stone look large format tiles with concave finger tile feature walls, custom timber to add warmth in the bathroom. The walls were painted in Dulux Dieskau to add a new vibrance which complemented the new floors and carpet. continuity was kept within the home by also featuring the concave finger tile in the kitchen.

In this master bath, the wood built-in vanity area offers a large place to dry yourself from the open shower and tub. With its wide countertop, this can be a powder room in an open bath, having pendant lights at the top of the mirror that adds vibrancy and brightness to the open space. The master bathroom in our Modern Cottage project included a cosmetic update and "new " vanity in the master bath. We created one of our signature custom vanities combining a vintage dresser, beautiful fixtures and custom hardware. We love the way this vanity bridges the gap between antique and modern in this 1920's renovated modern cottage.

SeaThru is a new, waterfront, modern home. SeaThru was inspired by the mid-century modern homes from our area, known as the Sarasota School of Architecture. This homes designed to offer more than the standard, ubiquitous rear-yard waterfront outdoor space. A central courtyard offer the residents a respite from the heat that accompanies west sun, and creates a gorgeous intermediate view fro guest staying in the semi-attached guest suite, who can actually SEE THROUGH the main living space and enjoy the bay views. Noble materials such as stone cladding, oak floors, composite wood louver screens and generous amounts of glass lend to a relaxed, warm-contemporary feeling not typically common to these types of homes. So, let’s talk powder room, shall we? The powder room at #flipmagnolia was a new addition to the house. Before renovations took place, the powder room was a pantry. This house is about 1,300 square feet. So a large pantry didn’t fit within our design plan. Instead, we decided to eliminate the pantry and transform it into a much-needed powder room. And the end result was amazing!

Keeping the integrity of the existing style is important to us — and this Rio Del Mar cabin remodel is a perfect example of that. For this special bathroom update, we preserved the essence of the original lathe and plaster walls by using a nickel gap wall treatment. The decorative floor tile and a pebbled shower call to mind the history of the house and its beach location. The marble counter, and custom towel ladder, add a natural, modern finish to the room that match the homeowner's unique designer flair.

These marble mosaics are so lovely to be in the same room as. Immediately you feel a sense of serenity. I like to think of them as fish scales. My client has a koi pond visible on exiting the bathroom. This was a renovation project. We removed the existing early '90s vanity, mirror and flour light fitting and all the plumbing fixtures. We than tiled the wall and put the new fixtures and fittings back. I love the combination of the black, white and timber with the soft greens of the mosaics & of course the odd house plant!
